Combined bodies of rock-like material and rock are widely encountered in geotechnical engineering,such as tunnels and mines.The existing theoretical models describing the stress-strain relationship of a combined body lack a binary feature.Based on effective medium theory,this paper presents the governing equation of the“elastic modulus”for combined and single bodies under triaxial compressive tests.A binary effective medium model is then established.Based on the compressive experiment of concretegranite combined bodies,the feasibility of determining the stress threshold based on crack axial strain is discussed,and the model is verified.The model is further extended to coal-rock combined bodies of more diverse types,and the variation laws of the compressive mechanical parameters are then discussed.The results show that the fitting accuracy of the model with the experimental curves of the concretegranite combined bodies and various types of coal-rock combined bodies are over 95%.The crack axial strain method can replace the crack volumetric strain method,which clarifies the physical meanings of the model parameters.The variation laws of matrix parameters and crack parameters are discussed in depth and are expected to be more widely used in geotechnical engineering. 展开更多

In this context, it is necessary to understand and study the significance of this strategic practice, assess the value realization of "China's stories" during the communication process, and thereby establish a basis for future communication of more "China's stories." As an important component of nanodevices and nanomachine constructions, the mechanical performance of nanowires (NWs) has been a subject of intense research efforts due to gaining relevance in controlling functionality of nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS); meanwhile, one of the characteristics of the NEMS is the dependence of the functionality of the systems upon the applied electric field. The study of the electric effects on the Young's modulus of nanostructures is of certain usefulness in the design of NEMS and the precise measurement of mechanical properties of one-dimensional nanostructures. This paper reviews the origin of the size-dependence of the elastic property of NWs and the factors influencing the discrepancies and inconsistencies in the measured values of the Young's modulus for the NW, besides the surface effects, nonlinear effects, the electromechanical coupling effects as a possible effect responsible for the differences in quantitative and qualitative performance of the measured Young's modulus for the NWs versus the diameter are clarified. 展开更多

The electronic structures, the effective masses, and optical properties of spinel CdCr_2S_4 are studied by using the fullpotential linearized augmented planewave method and a modified Becke–Johnson exchange functional within the densityfunctional theory. Most importantly, the effects of the spin–orbit coupling(SOC) on the electronic structures and carrier effective masses are investigated. The calculated band structure shows a direct band gap. The electronic effective mass and the hole effective mass are analytically determined by reproducing the calculated band structures near the BZ center.SOC substantially changes the valence band top and the hole effective masses. In addition, we calculated the corresponding optical properties of the spinel structure CdCr_2S_4. These should be useful to deeply understand spinel CdCr_2S_4 as a ferromagnetic semiconductor for possible semiconductor spintronic applications. 展开更多

The Gaussian weighted trajectory method (GWTM) is a practical implementation of classical S matrix theory (CSMT) in the random phase approximation, CSMT being the first and simplest semi-classical approach of molecular collisions, developped in the early seventies. Though very close in spirit to the purely classical description, GWTM accounts to some extent for the quantization of the different degrees-of-freedom involved in the processes. While CSMT may give diverging final state distributions, in relation to the rainbow effect of elastic scattering theory, GWTM has never led to such a mathematical catastrophe. An ethnography study was conducted among five villages in Kotagiri district of Tamil Nadu,to identify“how globalisation affects the food behaviour of Badagas”.The research is a qualitative study,having implemented Vygotsky’s socio-cultural theory.The traditional food processed and prepared by women of Badagar community is intimately connected to their socio-cultural,ecological,and spiritual life and health.The processing and preparation of ethnic foods demonstrate not only the creativity and treasure of food heritage of tribal women,but also their incremental learning to sustain the life and ecosystem as a whole.Looking to the diversities in ethnic foods,an attempt has been made to explore the ethnic foods from five different villages in Kotagiri district.The food choices made by people,either as individuals or as a group,can reveal views,passions,background knowledge,assumptions,and personalities.Food choices tell stories of families,migrations,assimilation,resistance,changes over times,and personal as well as group identity.In each place,the processing method of these foods is somewhat different based on the growing international trade,migration,tourism,and globalisation.The food used in the dietary system was found to be nutritionally rich and culturally important in various festivals and ceremonies.Ethnic food prepared and consumed by women in the past cannot be seen in the isolated mode,instead it is a complex dynamics in which nutrition,health,food security,culture,ethics,subsistence economy,and ecological sustainability are integral components.This paper thereby determines and defines the behaviour and practice of food among the respondents,its change,and cause. 展开更多

Furthermore, we then show that the frequency shift due to the (assumed) expansion of space, if any, is “indistinguishable” from that due to the motion of the source with respect to the observer;and that the shift does not depend on the distance to the source. Observed frequency shifts of cosmological sources then need to be interpreted as being only due to their motions with respect to us. This has important implications for our ideas in cosmology. 展开更多

With the increasingly severe global warming, investments in clean technology, reforestation and political action have been studied to reduce CO2 emission. In this study, a nonlinear stochastic model is proposed to describe the dynamics of CO2 emission with control inputs: clean technology, reforestation and carbon tax, under stochastic uncertainties. For the efficient resources management, a robust tracking control is designed to force resources tracking a desired reference output. The worst-case effect of stochastic parametric fluctuations, external disturbances and uncertain initial conditions on the tracking performance is considered and minimized from the dynamic game theory perspective. This stochastic game problem, in which one player (stochastic uncertainty) maximizes the tracking error and another player (control input) minimizes the tracking error, could be equivalent to a robust minimax tracking problem. To avoid solving the HJI, a fuzzy model is proposed to approximate the nonlinear CO2 emission model. Then the nonlinear stochastic game problem could be easily solved by fuzzy stochastic game approach via LMI technique. 展开更多

生活选择算法(Life Choice-Based Optimizer,LCBO)是根据人们在日常生活中做出不同的决策而设计的一种智能优化算法。但LCBO在解决高维函数优化问题时容易陷入局部最优,且收敛速度慢。因此,本文基于心理学理论提出一种多策略生活选择算... 生活选择算法(Life Choice-Based Optimizer,LCBO)是根据人们在日常生活中做出不同的决策而设计的一种智能优化算法。但LCBO在解决高维函数优化问题时容易陷入局部最优,且收敛速度慢。因此,本文基于心理学理论提出一种多策略生活选择算法(Multi-Strategy Life Choice-Based Optimizer,MSLCBO)。首先,基于“贝勃规律”提出有策略的向优秀组学习,提高算法的局部搜索能力;其次,在算法迭代后期受“关系场”理论启发,提出精英交流机制对质量较好的解进行搜索,进一步增强算法局部开发能力,提高算法的优化速度;最后,为避免“投射效应”的心理学效应影响,引入基于折射反向学习策略,从而提升算法的全局搜索能力。对改进后的算法进行2次对比实验:将MSLCBO与其他7种智能优化算法在16个基准测试函数上进行了对比,结果表明MSLCBO性能优势显著;并采用工程实际应用问题中的三杆桁架设计问题进行测试,同样验证了MSLCBO的有效性。 展开更多
