It only occasionally occurs in an industrial accident. Often a suddenentanglement and the instinctively instantaneous pull-out of the long hair into a high-speed rotary machine leads to the disaster. If the damage could not be restored through microsurgery, other methods, including simply replacing the avulsed scalp, or free flap graft from other part of the body, could not live up to aesthetic and functional demand, causing long-time psychological distress.展开更多

The effectiveness of free flap reconstruction has increased with improved surgical technique as well as technological refinement in vessel selection and flap monitoring. Few papers have studied the factors that influence success or failure rates of free flap reconstructions, particularly with an eye towards the technologic advancements that have refined the procedure in the last several decades. Here we present a comprehensive review of perioperative and intraoperative considerations that influence free flap outcomes as well methods of vessel selection and flap monitoring important during microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck.展开更多

All patients have ben followed up for 2 to 11 years. Excellent and good rate of operative results was 86. 6%. A long observation indicated that this procedure was superior to the other operations for the osteonecrosis of femoral head. Successful interim and final operative results can warrant its continued use in management of this kind of patients.展开更多
