However, how modem mass human migration during the CNY holiday affects the urban heat island (UHI) is still un- known. Here, the authors investigate the role of modem human migration for the UHI effects during the CNY holiday for the period of 1992-2006 in Harbin City, Northeast China. The results show that during the CNY week, the UHI effects expressed as daily mean, maxi- mum, and minimum temperature differences between urban and rural stations averaged over the period of 1992-2006 are 0.65℃ (43%), 0.31℃ (48%), and 1.14℃ (71%) lower than during the background period (four weeks before and four weeks after the CNY week), re- spectively. Our findings identify previously unknown impacts of modem mass human migration on the UHI effects based on a case study in Harbin City.展开更多

Especially many immigrant people live in close and crowded and squalid suburbs by always suffering from their social condition and worrying about their future in Turkey. Everybody worries about living in a humanitarian environment and correct social occasion and tries to reach communication facilities in his surroundings for living in a society as a human. Each immigrant looks forward to settle in an untouched side and set a life for himself there. Untouched areas and a few undamaged side are rapidly being destroyed because of migrations and while cities expand towards untouched areas, immigrant people immediately settle insufficient sides. When they live in insufficient life, whole they particularly need communication facilities as human in their defective sides. Countries steadily resemble large cities without contain social ambience and communication facilities. Historical experiences have changed social necessities and habits of people into communication facilities during history. Because people need communication the most in their life.展开更多
Syrian refugees in Gaziantep—because of turmoil in home country are slowly integrating into local society;however,social process is easy neither for them nor for the locals.Two cultures emerged as a result of presenc...Syrian refugees in Gaziantep—because of turmoil in home country are slowly integrating into local society;however,social process is easy neither for them nor for the locals.Two cultures emerged as a result of presence of cultural values and lifestyles of both the locals and refugees.Refugees,initially hesitant upon arrival,gradually settled and changed in behaviours,goals,and expectations.Due to changing social climate,local residents experienced a greater amount of anxiety toward various aspects of social life.Aim of this study is to identify and,subsequently,eliminate issues of social integration experienced by refugees in Gaziantep to promote peaceful coexistence between them and the locals.To achieve these,it is necessary to analyze,in detail,needs and expectations of refugees to ensure that expectations of both refugees and residents are fulfilled.185 adult refugees in Gaziantep and 80 adults in a camp were surveyed by researcher to understand expectations of refugees regarding social life.Playgrounds,sports areas,rest areas,car areas,pedestrian roads,parking lots,recreational facilities,mosques,condolence places,parks,shopping areas,cafes,and tea gardens were evaluated in survey.Questionnaires were graphically displayed in Microsoft Excel after being analyzed as percentage in SPSS program.This work displays that there is a need for good planning while evaluating capacity and expectations of social reinforcement areas in city,ensuring expectations of both refugees and city dwellers for social facilities to be used,telling of culture of city dwellers.展开更多

After that, the technology of reducing an...The migration law of runoff pollutants in bio-retention tank was studied through the experimental research, containing calculation formula of pollutants reduction coefficient. After that, the technology of reducing and controlling runoff pollution by bio-retention tank was demonstrated. The result showed that bio-retention tank can reduce runoff by 15%-85%, and the pollutant emissions can be cut by 35%-95%. At the same time, it had good ecological landscape effect. The study can provide a reference for the design method of road bio-retention tank in sponge city construction, and basic technical methods and parameters for the subsequent construction of comprehensive control platform for urban rainwater runoff and the layout optimization of comprehensive measures of water quality and quantity.展开更多
