Shear-type structures are common structural forms in industrial and civil buildings,such as concrete and steel frame structures.Fault diagnosis of shear-type structures is an important topic to ensure the normal use o...Shear-type structures are common structural forms in industrial and civil buildings,such as concrete and steel frame structures.Fault diagnosis of shear-type structures is an important topic to ensure the normal use of structures.The main drawback of existing damage assessment methods is that they require accurate structural finite element models for damage assessment.However,for many shear-type structures,it is difficult to obtain accurate FEM.In order to avoid finite elementmodeling,amodel-freemethod for diagnosing shear structure defects is developed in this paper.This method only needs to measure a few low-order vibration modes of the structure.The proposed defect diagnosis method is divided into two stages.In the first stage,the location of defects in the structure is determined based on the difference between the virtual displacements derived from the dynamic flexibility matrices before and after damage.In the second stage,damage severity is evaluated based on an improved frequency sensitivity equation.Themain innovations of this method lie in two aspects.The first innovation is the development of a virtual displacement difference method for determining the location of damage in the shear structure.The second is to improve the existing frequency sensitivity equation to calculate the damage degree without constructing the finite elementmodel.Thismethod has been verified on a numerical example of a 22-story shear frame structure and an experimental example of a three-story steel shear structure.Based on numerical analysis and experimental data validation,it is shown that this method only needs to use the low-order modes of structural vibration to diagnose the defect location and damage degree,and does not require finite element modeling.The proposed method should be a very simple and practical defect diagnosis technique in engineering practice.展开更多

Objective:To explore the relationship between organizational identification,occupational stress,and insomnia among nurses and to analyze the moderating role of organizational identification between occupational stress...Objective:To explore the relationship between organizational identification,occupational stress,and insomnia among nurses and to analyze the moderating role of organizational identification between occupational stress and insomnia.Methods:Through stratified sampling,720 nurses working in a tertiary A-level hospital in Shandong Province from March to May 2021 were surveyed using an effort-reward imbalance questionnaire,an organizational identification questionnaire,and the Athens Insomnia scale.Results:Organizational identification was negatively correlated with occupational stress and insomnia(r_(1)=-0.121,P_(1)<0.01;r_(2)=-0.144,P_(2)<0.01).Occupational stress was positively correlated with insomnia(r=0.379,P<0.01).Organizational identity significantly moderated nurses’occupational stress and insomnia(β=-0.192,t=-2.558,P<0.05).Conclusion:Occupational stress and organizational identification can predict insomnia.Organizational identification could negatively mediate the relationship between occupational stress and insomnia.Improving organizational identification may help alleviate insomnia symptoms by relieving occupational stress.展开更多
Driver identification in intelligent transport systems has immense demand,considering the safety and convenience of traveling in a vehicle.The rapid growth of driver assistance systems(DAS)and driver identification sy...Driver identification in intelligent transport systems has immense demand,considering the safety and convenience of traveling in a vehicle.The rapid growth of driver assistance systems(DAS)and driver identification system propels the need for understanding the root causes of automobile accidents.Also,in the case of insurance,it is necessary to track the number of drivers who commonly drive a car in terms of insurance pricing.It is observed that drivers with frequent records of paying“fines”are compelled to pay higher insurance payments than drivers without any penalty records.Thus driver identification act as an important information source for the intelligent transport system.This study focuses on a similar objective to implement a machine learning-based approach for driver identification.Raw data is collected from in-vehicle sensors using the controller area network(CAN)and then converted to binary form using a one-hot encoding technique.Then,the transformed data is dimensionally reduced using the Principal Component Analysis(PCA)technique,and further optimal parameters from the dataset are selected using Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA).The most relevant features are selected and then fed into a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)model.The proposed model is evaluated against four different use cases of driver behavior.The results show that the best prediction accuracy is achieved in the case of drivers without glasses.The proposed model yielded optimal accuracy when evaluated against the K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)and Support Vector Machines(SVM)models with and without using dimensionality reduction approaches.展开更多
To identify the parameters of the extended Debye model of XLPE cables,and therefore evaluate the insulation performance of the samples,the sparsity-promoting dynamicmode decomposition(SPDMD)methodwas introduced,aswell...To identify the parameters of the extended Debye model of XLPE cables,and therefore evaluate the insulation performance of the samples,the sparsity-promoting dynamicmode decomposition(SPDMD)methodwas introduced,aswell the basics and processes of its applicationwere explained.The amplitude vector based on polarization current was first calculated.Based on the non-zero elements of the vector,the number of branches and parameters including the coefficients and time constants of each branch of the extended Debye model were derived.Further research on parameter identification of XLPE cables at different aging stages based on the SPDMD method was carried out to verify the practicability of the method.Compared with the traditional differential method,the simulation and experiment indicated that the SPDMD method can effectively avoid problems such as the relaxation peak being unobvious,and possessing more accuracy during the parameter identification.And due to the polarization current being less affected by the measurement noise than the depolarization current,the SPDMD identification results based on the polarization current spectral line proved to be better at reflecting the response characteristics of the dielectric.In addition,the time domain polarization current test results can be converted into the frequency domain,and then used to obtain the dielectric loss factor spectrum of the insulation.The integral of the dielectric loss factor on a frequency domain can effectively evaluate the insulation condition of the XLPE cable.展开更多

The model of the process can be obtained according to the identification procedures in the open-loop, or in the closed-loop. In the open-loop, the identification methods are well known and offer good process approximation, which is not valid for the closed-loop identification, when the system provides the feedback output and doesn’t permit it to be identified in the open-loop. This paper offers an approach for experimental identification in the closed-loop, which supposes the approximation of the process with inertial models, with or without time delay and astatism. The coefficients are calculated based on the values of the critical transfer coefficient and period of the underdamped response of the closed-loop system with P controller, when system achieves the limit of stability. Finally, the closed-loop identification was verified by the computer simulation and the obtained results demonstrated, that the identification procedure in the closed-loop offers good results in process of estimation of the model of the process.展开更多
Automatic Speaker Identification(ASI)involves the process of distinguishing an audio stream associated with numerous speakers’utterances.Some common aspects,such as the framework difference,overlapping of different s...Automatic Speaker Identification(ASI)involves the process of distinguishing an audio stream associated with numerous speakers’utterances.Some common aspects,such as the framework difference,overlapping of different sound events,and the presence of various sound sources during recording,make the ASI task much more complicated and complex.This research proposes a deep learning model to improve the accuracy of the ASI system and reduce the model training time under limited computation resources.In this research,the performance of the transformer model is investigated.Seven audio features,chromagram,Mel-spectrogram,tonnetz,Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCCs),delta MFCCs,delta-delta MFCCs and spectral contrast,are extracted from the ELSDSR,CSTRVCTK,and Ar-DAD,datasets.The evaluation of various experiments demonstrates that the best performance was achieved by the proposed transformer model using seven audio features on all datasets.For ELSDSR,CSTRVCTK,and Ar-DAD,the highest attained accuracies are 0.99,0.97,and 0.99,respectively.The experimental results reveal that the proposed technique can achieve the best performance for ASI problems.展开更多
Considering the fractional-order and nonlinear characteristics of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFC),a fractional-order subspace identification method based on the ADE-BH optimization algorithm is proposed to ...Considering the fractional-order and nonlinear characteristics of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFC),a fractional-order subspace identification method based on the ADE-BH optimization algorithm is proposed to establish a fractional-order Hammerstein state-space model of PEMFCs.Herein,a Hammerstein model is constructed by connecting a linear module and a nonlinear module in series to precisely depict the nonlinear property of the PEMFC.During the modeling process,fractional-order theory is combined with subspace identification,and a Poisson filter is adopted to enable multi-order derivability of the data.A variable memory method is introduced to reduce computation time without losing precision.Additionally,to improve the optimization accuracy and avoid obtaining locally optimum solutions,a novel ADEBH algorithm is employed to optimize the unknown parameters in the identification method.In this algorithm,the Euclidean distance serves as the theoretical basis for updating the target vector in the absorption-generation operation of the black hole(BH)algorithm.Finally,simulations demonstrate that the proposed model has small output error and high accuracy,indicating that the model can accurately describe the electrical characteristics of the PEMFC process.展开更多

Machine learning (ML) methods are often applied to identify lithofacies using logs label...Typically, relationship between well logs and lithofacies is complex, which leads to low accuracy of lithofacies identification. Machine learning (ML) methods are often applied to identify lithofacies using logs labelled by rock cores. However, these methods have accuracy limits to some extent. To further improve their accuracies, practical and novel ensemble learning strategy and principles are proposed in this work, which allows geologists not familiar with ML to establish a good ML lithofacies identification model and help geologists familiar with ML further improve accuracy of lithofacies identification. The ensemble learning strategy combines ML methods as sub-classifiers to generate a comprehensive lithofacies identification model, which aims to reduce the variance errors in prediction. Each sub-classifier is trained by randomly sampled labelled data with random features. The novelty of this work lies in the ensemble principles making sub-classifiers just overfitting by algorithm parameter setting and sub-dataset sampling. The principles can help reduce the bias errors in the prediction. Two issues are discussed, videlicet (1) whether only a relatively simple single-classifier method can be as sub-classifiers and how to select proper ML methods as sub-classifiers;(2) whether different kinds of ML methods can be combined as sub-classifiers. If yes, how to determine a proper combination. In order to test the effectiveness of the ensemble strategy and principles for lithofacies identification, different kinds of machine learning algorithms are selected as sub-classifiers, including regular classifiers (LDA, NB, KNN, ID3 tree and CART), kernel method (SVM), and ensemble learning algorithms (RF, AdaBoost, XGBoost and LightGBM). In this work, the experiments used a published dataset of lithofacies from Daniudi gas field (DGF) in Ordes Basin, China. Based on a series of comparisons between ML algorithms and their corresponding ensemble models using the ensemble strategy and principles, conclusions are drawn: (1) not only decision tree but also other single-classifiers and ensemble-learning-classifiers can be used as sub-classifiers of homogeneous ensemble learning and the ensemble can improve the accuracy of the original classifiers;(2) the ensemble principles for the introduced homogeneous and heterogeneous ensemble strategy are effective in promoting ML in lithofacies identification;(3) in practice, heterogeneous ensemble is more suitable for building a more powerful lithofacies identification model, though it is complex.展开更多

Nowadays,wood identification is made by experts using hand lenses,wood atlases,and field manuals which take a lot of cost and time for the training process.The quantity and species must be strictly set up,and accurate...Nowadays,wood identification is made by experts using hand lenses,wood atlases,and field manuals which take a lot of cost and time for the training process.The quantity and species must be strictly set up,and accurate identification of the wood species must be made during exploitation to monitor trade and enforce regulations to stop illegal logging.With the development of science,wood identification should be supported with technology to enhance the perception of fairness of trade.An automatic wood identification system and a dataset of 50 commercial wood species from Asia are established,namely,wood anatomical images collected and used to train for the proposed model.In the convolutional neural network(CNN),the last layers are usually soft-max functions with dense layers.These layers contain the most parameters that affect the speed model.To reduce the number of parameters in the last layers of the CNN model and enhance the accuracy,the structure of the model should be optimized and developed.Therefore,a hybrid of convolutional neural network and random forest model(CNN-RF model)is introduced to wood identification.The accuracy’s hybrid model is more than 98%,and the processing speed is 3 times higher than the CNN model.The highest accuracy is 1.00 in some species,and the lowest is 0.92.These results show the excellent adaptability of the hybrid model in wood identification based on anatomical images.It also facilitates further investigations of wood cells and has implications for wood science.展开更多
Objective Body fluid mixtures are complex biological samples that frequently occur in crime scenes,and can provide important clues for criminal case analysis.DNA methylation assay has been applied in the identificatio...Objective Body fluid mixtures are complex biological samples that frequently occur in crime scenes,and can provide important clues for criminal case analysis.DNA methylation assay has been applied in the identification of human body fluids,and has exhibited excellent performance in predicting single-source body fluids.The present study aims to develop a methylation SNaPshot multiplex system for body fluid identification,and accurately predict the mixture samples.In addition,the value of DNA methylation in the prediction of body fluid mixtures was further explored.Methods In the present study,420 samples of body fluid mixtures and 250 samples of single body fluids were tested using an optimized multiplex methylation system.Each kind of body fluid sample presented the specific methylation profiles of the 10 markers.Results Significant differences in methylation levels were observed between the mixtures and single body fluids.For all kinds of mixtures,the Spearman’s correlation analysis revealed a significantly strong correlation between the methylation levels and component proportions(1:20,1:10,1:5,1:1,5:1,10:1 and 20:1).Two random forest classification models were trained for the prediction of mixture types and the prediction of the mixture proportion of 2 components,based on the methylation levels of 10 markers.For the mixture prediction,Model-1 presented outstanding prediction accuracy,which reached up to 99.3%in 427 training samples,and had a remarkable accuracy of 100%in 243 independent test samples.For the mixture proportion prediction,Model-2 demonstrated an excellent accuracy of 98.8%in 252 training samples,and 98.2%in 168 independent test samples.The total prediction accuracy reached 99.3%for body fluid mixtures and 98.6%for the mixture proportions.Conclusion These results indicate the excellent capability and powerful value of the multiplex methylation system in the identification of forensic body fluid mixtures.展开更多

Vibration-based damage assessment is a powerful tool in this regard, as it relies on changes in a structure’s dynamic characteristics as it degrades. By measuring the vibration response of a bridge due to passing vehicles, this approach can identify potential structural damage. This dissertation introduces a novel technique grounded in Vehicle-Bridge Interaction (VBI) to evaluate bridge health. It aims to detect damage by analyzing the response of passing vehicles, taking into account VBI. The theoretical foundation of this method begins with representing the bridge’s superstructure using a Finite Element Model and employing a half-car dynamic model to simulate the vehicle with suspension. Two sets of motion equations, one for the bridge and one for the vehicle are generated using the Finite Element Method, mode superposition, and D’Alembert’s principle. The combined dynamics are solved using the Newmark-beta method, accounting for road surface roughness. A new approach for damage identification based on the response of passing vehicles is proposed. The response is theoretically composed of vehicle frequency, bridge natural frequency, and a pseudo-frequency component related to vehicle speed. The Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method is applied to decompose the signal into its constituent parts, and damage detection relies on the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) corresponding to the vehicle speed component. This technique effectively identifies various damage scenarios considered in the study.展开更多
Kinematic semantics is often an important content of a CAD model(it refers to a single part/solid model in this work)in many applications,but it is usually not the belonging of the model,especially for the one retriev...Kinematic semantics is often an important content of a CAD model(it refers to a single part/solid model in this work)in many applications,but it is usually not the belonging of the model,especially for the one retrieved from a common database.Especially,the effective and automatic method to reconstruct the above information for a CAD model is still rare.To address this issue,this paper proposes a smart approach to identify each assembly interface on every CAD model since the assembly interface is the fundamental but key element of reconstructing kinematic semantics.First,as the geometry of an assembly interface is formed by one or more adjacent faces on each model,a face-attributed adjacency graph integrated with face structure fingerprint is proposed.This can describe each CAD model as well as its assembly interfaces uniformly.After that,aided by the above descriptor,an improved graph attention network is developed based on a new dual-level anti-interference filtering mechanism,which makes it have the great potential to identify all representative kinds of assembly interface faces with high accuracy that have various geometric shapes but consistent kinematic semantics.Moreover,based on the abovementioned graph and face-adjacent relationships,each assembly interface on a model can be identified.Finally,experiments on representative CAD models are implemented to verify the effectiveness and characteristics of the proposed approach.The results show that the average assembly-interface-face-identification accuracy of the proposed approach can reach 91.75%,which is about 2%–5%higher than those of the recent-representative graph neural networks.Besides,compared with the state-of-the-art methods,our approach is more suitable to identify the assembly interfaces(with various shapes)for each individual CAD model that has typical kinematic pairs.展开更多
Fishing logbook records the fishing behaviors and other information of fishing vessels.However,the accuracy of the recorded information is often difficult to guarantee due to the misreport and concealment.The fishing ...Fishing logbook records the fishing behaviors and other information of fishing vessels.However,the accuracy of the recorded information is often difficult to guarantee due to the misreport and concealment.The fishing vessel monitoring system(VMS)can monitor and record the navigation information of fishing vessels in real time,and it may be used to improve the accuracy of identifying the state of fishing vessels.If the VMS data and fishing logbook are combined to establish their relationships,then the navigation characteristics and fishing behavior of fishing vessels can be more accurately identified.Therefore,first,a method for determining the state of VMS data points using fishing log data was proposed.Secondly,the relationship between VMS data and the different states of fishing vessels was further explored.Thirdly,the state of the fishing vessel was predicted using VMS data by building machine learning models.The speed,heading,longitude,latitude,and time as features from the VMS data were extracted by matching the VMS and logbook data of three single otter trawl vessels from September 2012 to January 2013,and four machine learning models were established,i.e.,Random Forest(RF),Adaptive Boosting(AdaBoost),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree(GBDT)to predict the behavior of fishing vessels.The prediction performances of the models were evaluated by using normalized confusion matrix and receiver operator characteristic curve.Results show that the importance rankings of spatial(longitude and latitude)and time features were higher than those of speed and heading.The prediction performances of the RF and AdaBoost models were higher than those of the KNN and GBDT models.RF model showed the highest prediction performance for fishing state.Meanwhile,AdaBoost model exhibited the highest prediction performance for non-fishing state.This study offered a technical basis for judging the navigation characteristics of fishing vessels,which improved the algorithm for judging the behavior of fishing vessels based on VMS data,enhanced the prediction accuracy,and upgraded the fishery management being more scientific and efficient.展开更多
System Identification becomes very crucial in the field of nonlinear and dynamic systems or practical systems.As most practical systems don’t have prior information about the system behaviour thus,mathematical modell...System Identification becomes very crucial in the field of nonlinear and dynamic systems or practical systems.As most practical systems don’t have prior information about the system behaviour thus,mathematical modelling is required.The authors have proposed a stacked Bidirectional Long-Short Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)model to handle the problem of nonlinear dynamic system identification in this paper.The proposed model has the ability of faster learning and accurate modelling as it can be trained in both forward and backward directions.The main advantage of Bi-LSTM over other algorithms is that it processes inputs in two ways:one from the past to the future,and the other from the future to the past.In this proposed model a backward-running Long-Short Term Memory(LSTM)can store information from the future along with application of two hidden states together allows for storing information from the past and future at any moment in time.The proposed model is tested with a recorded speech signal to prove its superiority with the performance being evaluated through Mean Square Error(MSE)and Root Means Square Error(RMSE).The RMSE and MSE performances obtained by the proposed model are found to be 0.0218 and 0.0162 respectively for 500 Epochs.The comparison of results and further analysis illustrates that the proposed model achieves better performance over other models and can obtain higher prediction accuracy along with faster convergence speed.展开更多

To begin with, the generalized flexibility matrix (GFM) proposed to solve the damage identification problem is recalled and a modal expansion method is introduced. Next, the objective function for iterative optimization process based on the GFM is formulated, and the Trust-Region algorithm is utilized to obtain the solution of the optimization problem for multiple damage cases. And then for computing the objective function gradient, the sensitivity analysis regarding design variables is derived. In addition, due to the spatial incompleteness, the influence of stiffness reduction and incomplete modal measurement data is discussed by means of two numerical examples with several damage cases. Finally, based on the computational results, it is evident that the presented approach provides good validity and reliability for the large and complicated engineering structures.展开更多

To tackle these difficulties, an approach of data-driven model identification and control algorithm design based on the maximum stability degree criterion is proposed in this paper. The data-driven model identification procedure supposes the finding of the mathematical model of the system based on the undamped transient response of the closed-loop system. The system is approximated with the inertial model, where the coefficients are calculated based on the values of the critical transfer coefficient, oscillation amplitude and period of the underdamped response of the closed-loop system. The data driven control design supposes that the tuning parameters of the controller are calculated based on the parameters obtained from the previous step of system identification and there are presented the expressions for the calculation of the tuning parameters. The obtained results of data-driven model identification and algorithm for synthesis the controller were verified by computer simulation.展开更多

文摘In this paper,a variety of classical convolutional neural networks are trained on two different datasets using transfer learning method.We demonstrated that the training dataset has a significant impact on the training results,in addition to the optimization achieved through the model structure.However,the lack of open-source agricultural data,combined with the absence of a comprehensive open-source data sharing platform,remains a substantial obstacle.This issue is closely related to the difficulty and high cost of obtaining high-quality agricultural data,the low level of education of most employees,underdeveloped distributed training systems and unsecured data security.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a novel idea of constructing an agricultural data sharing platform based on a federated learning(FL)framework,aiming to overcome the deficiency of high-quality data in agricultural field training.
文摘Objective:To explore the relationship between organizational identification,occupational stress,and insomnia among nurses and to analyze the moderating role of organizational identification between occupational stress and insomnia.Methods:Through stratified sampling,720 nurses working in a tertiary A-level hospital in Shandong Province from March to May 2021 were surveyed using an effort-reward imbalance questionnaire,an organizational identification questionnaire,and the Athens Insomnia scale.Results:Organizational identification was negatively correlated with occupational stress and insomnia(r_(1)=-0.121,P_(1)<0.01;r_(2)=-0.144,P_(2)<0.01).Occupational stress was positively correlated with insomnia(r=0.379,P<0.01).Organizational identity significantly moderated nurses’occupational stress and insomnia(β=-0.192,t=-2.558,P<0.05).Conclusion:Occupational stress and organizational identification can predict insomnia.Organizational identification could negatively mediate the relationship between occupational stress and insomnia.Improving organizational identification may help alleviate insomnia symptoms by relieving occupational stress.

文摘Driver identification in intelligent transport systems has immense demand,considering the safety and convenience of traveling in a vehicle.The rapid growth of driver assistance systems(DAS)and driver identification system propels the need for understanding the root causes of automobile accidents.Also,in the case of insurance,it is necessary to track the number of drivers who commonly drive a car in terms of insurance pricing.It is observed that drivers with frequent records of paying“fines”are compelled to pay higher insurance payments than drivers without any penalty records.Thus driver identification act as an important information source for the intelligent transport system.This study focuses on a similar objective to implement a machine learning-based approach for driver identification.Raw data is collected from in-vehicle sensors using the controller area network(CAN)and then converted to binary form using a one-hot encoding technique.Then,the transformed data is dimensionally reduced using the Principal Component Analysis(PCA)technique,and further optimal parameters from the dataset are selected using Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA).The most relevant features are selected and then fed into a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)model.The proposed model is evaluated against four different use cases of driver behavior.The results show that the best prediction accuracy is achieved in the case of drivers without glasses.The proposed model yielded optimal accuracy when evaluated against the K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)and Support Vector Machines(SVM)models with and without using dimensionality reduction approaches.

文摘To identify the parameters of the extended Debye model of XLPE cables,and therefore evaluate the insulation performance of the samples,the sparsity-promoting dynamicmode decomposition(SPDMD)methodwas introduced,aswell the basics and processes of its applicationwere explained.The amplitude vector based on polarization current was first calculated.Based on the non-zero elements of the vector,the number of branches and parameters including the coefficients and time constants of each branch of the extended Debye model were derived.Further research on parameter identification of XLPE cables at different aging stages based on the SPDMD method was carried out to verify the practicability of the method.Compared with the traditional differential method,the simulation and experiment indicated that the SPDMD method can effectively avoid problems such as the relaxation peak being unobvious,and possessing more accuracy during the parameter identification.And due to the polarization current being less affected by the measurement noise than the depolarization current,the SPDMD identification results based on the polarization current spectral line proved to be better at reflecting the response characteristics of the dielectric.In addition,the time domain polarization current test results can be converted into the frequency domain,and then used to obtain the dielectric loss factor spectrum of the insulation.The integral of the dielectric loss factor on a frequency domain can effectively evaluate the insulation condition of the XLPE cable.
文摘The mathematical model that approximates the dynamics of the industrial process is essential for the efficient synthesis of control algorithms in industrial applications. The model of the process can be obtained according to the identification procedures in the open-loop, or in the closed-loop. In the open-loop, the identification methods are well known and offer good process approximation, which is not valid for the closed-loop identification, when the system provides the feedback output and doesn’t permit it to be identified in the open-loop. This paper offers an approach for experimental identification in the closed-loop, which supposes the approximation of the process with inertial models, with or without time delay and astatism. The coefficients are calculated based on the values of the critical transfer coefficient and period of the underdamped response of the closed-loop system with P controller, when system achieves the limit of stability. Finally, the closed-loop identification was verified by the computer simulation and the obtained results demonstrated, that the identification procedure in the closed-loop offers good results in process of estimation of the model of the process.

文摘Automatic Speaker Identification(ASI)involves the process of distinguishing an audio stream associated with numerous speakers’utterances.Some common aspects,such as the framework difference,overlapping of different sound events,and the presence of various sound sources during recording,make the ASI task much more complicated and complex.This research proposes a deep learning model to improve the accuracy of the ASI system and reduce the model training time under limited computation resources.In this research,the performance of the transformer model is investigated.Seven audio features,chromagram,Mel-spectrogram,tonnetz,Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCCs),delta MFCCs,delta-delta MFCCs and spectral contrast,are extracted from the ELSDSR,CSTRVCTK,and Ar-DAD,datasets.The evaluation of various experiments demonstrates that the best performance was achieved by the proposed transformer model using seven audio features on all datasets.For ELSDSR,CSTRVCTK,and Ar-DAD,the highest attained accuracies are 0.99,0.97,and 0.99,respectively.The experimental results reveal that the proposed technique can achieve the best performance for ASI problems.

文摘Considering the fractional-order and nonlinear characteristics of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFC),a fractional-order subspace identification method based on the ADE-BH optimization algorithm is proposed to establish a fractional-order Hammerstein state-space model of PEMFCs.Herein,a Hammerstein model is constructed by connecting a linear module and a nonlinear module in series to precisely depict the nonlinear property of the PEMFC.During the modeling process,fractional-order theory is combined with subspace identification,and a Poisson filter is adopted to enable multi-order derivability of the data.A variable memory method is introduced to reduce computation time without losing precision.Additionally,to improve the optimization accuracy and avoid obtaining locally optimum solutions,a novel ADEBH algorithm is employed to optimize the unknown parameters in the identification method.In this algorithm,the Euclidean distance serves as the theoretical basis for updating the target vector in the absorption-generation operation of the black hole(BH)algorithm.Finally,simulations demonstrate that the proposed model has small output error and high accuracy,indicating that the model can accurately describe the electrical characteristics of the PEMFC process.

文摘Typically, relationship between well logs and lithofacies is complex, which leads to low accuracy of lithofacies identification. Machine learning (ML) methods are often applied to identify lithofacies using logs labelled by rock cores. However, these methods have accuracy limits to some extent. To further improve their accuracies, practical and novel ensemble learning strategy and principles are proposed in this work, which allows geologists not familiar with ML to establish a good ML lithofacies identification model and help geologists familiar with ML further improve accuracy of lithofacies identification. The ensemble learning strategy combines ML methods as sub-classifiers to generate a comprehensive lithofacies identification model, which aims to reduce the variance errors in prediction. Each sub-classifier is trained by randomly sampled labelled data with random features. The novelty of this work lies in the ensemble principles making sub-classifiers just overfitting by algorithm parameter setting and sub-dataset sampling. The principles can help reduce the bias errors in the prediction. Two issues are discussed, videlicet (1) whether only a relatively simple single-classifier method can be as sub-classifiers and how to select proper ML methods as sub-classifiers;(2) whether different kinds of ML methods can be combined as sub-classifiers. If yes, how to determine a proper combination. In order to test the effectiveness of the ensemble strategy and principles for lithofacies identification, different kinds of machine learning algorithms are selected as sub-classifiers, including regular classifiers (LDA, NB, KNN, ID3 tree and CART), kernel method (SVM), and ensemble learning algorithms (RF, AdaBoost, XGBoost and LightGBM). In this work, the experiments used a published dataset of lithofacies from Daniudi gas field (DGF) in Ordes Basin, China. Based on a series of comparisons between ML algorithms and their corresponding ensemble models using the ensemble strategy and principles, conclusions are drawn: (1) not only decision tree but also other single-classifiers and ensemble-learning-classifiers can be used as sub-classifiers of homogeneous ensemble learning and the ensemble can improve the accuracy of the original classifiers;(2) the ensemble principles for the introduced homogeneous and heterogeneous ensemble strategy are effective in promoting ML in lithofacies identification;(3) in practice, heterogeneous ensemble is more suitable for building a more powerful lithofacies identification model, though it is complex.

In particular, it examines the following three areas: homophily, identification, and individual attraction, and explores how much of these directional and dyadic relational evaluations can be attributed to the effect of the actor, the partner, and the relationship.
文摘Nowadays,wood identification is made by experts using hand lenses,wood atlases,and field manuals which take a lot of cost and time for the training process.The quantity and species must be strictly set up,and accurate identification of the wood species must be made during exploitation to monitor trade and enforce regulations to stop illegal logging.With the development of science,wood identification should be supported with technology to enhance the perception of fairness of trade.An automatic wood identification system and a dataset of 50 commercial wood species from Asia are established,namely,wood anatomical images collected and used to train for the proposed model.In the convolutional neural network(CNN),the last layers are usually soft-max functions with dense layers.These layers contain the most parameters that affect the speed model.To reduce the number of parameters in the last layers of the CNN model and enhance the accuracy,the structure of the model should be optimized and developed.Therefore,a hybrid of convolutional neural network and random forest model(CNN-RF model)is introduced to wood identification.The accuracy’s hybrid model is more than 98%,and the processing speed is 3 times higher than the CNN model.The highest accuracy is 1.00 in some species,and the lowest is 0.92.These results show the excellent adaptability of the hybrid model in wood identification based on anatomical images.It also facilitates further investigations of wood cells and has implications for wood science.

文摘Objective Body fluid mixtures are complex biological samples that frequently occur in crime scenes,and can provide important clues for criminal case analysis.DNA methylation assay has been applied in the identification of human body fluids,and has exhibited excellent performance in predicting single-source body fluids.The present study aims to develop a methylation SNaPshot multiplex system for body fluid identification,and accurately predict the mixture samples.In addition,the value of DNA methylation in the prediction of body fluid mixtures was further explored.Methods In the present study,420 samples of body fluid mixtures and 250 samples of single body fluids were tested using an optimized multiplex methylation system.Each kind of body fluid sample presented the specific methylation profiles of the 10 markers.Results Significant differences in methylation levels were observed between the mixtures and single body fluids.For all kinds of mixtures,the Spearman’s correlation analysis revealed a significantly strong correlation between the methylation levels and component proportions(1:20,1:10,1:5,1:1,5:1,10:1 and 20:1).Two random forest classification models were trained for the prediction of mixture types and the prediction of the mixture proportion of 2 components,based on the methylation levels of 10 markers.For the mixture prediction,Model-1 presented outstanding prediction accuracy,which reached up to 99.3%in 427 training samples,and had a remarkable accuracy of 100%in 243 independent test samples.For the mixture proportion prediction,Model-2 demonstrated an excellent accuracy of 98.8%in 252 training samples,and 98.2%in 168 independent test samples.The total prediction accuracy reached 99.3%for body fluid mixtures and 98.6%for the mixture proportions.Conclusion These results indicate the excellent capability and powerful value of the multiplex methylation system in the identification of forensic body fluid mixtures.
文摘To prevent early bridge failures, effective Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is vital. Vibration-based damage assessment is a powerful tool in this regard, as it relies on changes in a structure’s dynamic characteristics as it degrades. By measuring the vibration response of a bridge due to passing vehicles, this approach can identify potential structural damage. This dissertation introduces a novel technique grounded in Vehicle-Bridge Interaction (VBI) to evaluate bridge health. It aims to detect damage by analyzing the response of passing vehicles, taking into account VBI. The theoretical foundation of this method begins with representing the bridge’s superstructure using a Finite Element Model and employing a half-car dynamic model to simulate the vehicle with suspension. Two sets of motion equations, one for the bridge and one for the vehicle are generated using the Finite Element Method, mode superposition, and D’Alembert’s principle. The combined dynamics are solved using the Newmark-beta method, accounting for road surface roughness. A new approach for damage identification based on the response of passing vehicles is proposed. The response is theoretically composed of vehicle frequency, bridge natural frequency, and a pseudo-frequency component related to vehicle speed. The Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method is applied to decompose the signal into its constituent parts, and damage detection relies on the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) corresponding to the vehicle speed component. This technique effectively identifies various damage scenarios considered in the study.

文摘Kinematic semantics is often an important content of a CAD model(it refers to a single part/solid model in this work)in many applications,but it is usually not the belonging of the model,especially for the one retrieved from a common database.Especially,the effective and automatic method to reconstruct the above information for a CAD model is still rare.To address this issue,this paper proposes a smart approach to identify each assembly interface on every CAD model since the assembly interface is the fundamental but key element of reconstructing kinematic semantics.First,as the geometry of an assembly interface is formed by one or more adjacent faces on each model,a face-attributed adjacency graph integrated with face structure fingerprint is proposed.This can describe each CAD model as well as its assembly interfaces uniformly.After that,aided by the above descriptor,an improved graph attention network is developed based on a new dual-level anti-interference filtering mechanism,which makes it have the great potential to identify all representative kinds of assembly interface faces with high accuracy that have various geometric shapes but consistent kinematic semantics.Moreover,based on the abovementioned graph and face-adjacent relationships,each assembly interface on a model can be identified.Finally,experiments on representative CAD models are implemented to verify the effectiveness and characteristics of the proposed approach.The results show that the average assembly-interface-face-identification accuracy of the proposed approach can reach 91.75%,which is about 2%–5%higher than those of the recent-representative graph neural networks.Besides,compared with the state-of-the-art methods,our approach is more suitable to identify the assembly interfaces(with various shapes)for each individual CAD model that has typical kinematic pairs.

文摘Fishing logbook records the fishing behaviors and other information of fishing vessels.However,the accuracy of the recorded information is often difficult to guarantee due to the misreport and concealment.The fishing vessel monitoring system(VMS)can monitor and record the navigation information of fishing vessels in real time,and it may be used to improve the accuracy of identifying the state of fishing vessels.If the VMS data and fishing logbook are combined to establish their relationships,then the navigation characteristics and fishing behavior of fishing vessels can be more accurately identified.Therefore,first,a method for determining the state of VMS data points using fishing log data was proposed.Secondly,the relationship between VMS data and the different states of fishing vessels was further explored.Thirdly,the state of the fishing vessel was predicted using VMS data by building machine learning models.The speed,heading,longitude,latitude,and time as features from the VMS data were extracted by matching the VMS and logbook data of three single otter trawl vessels from September 2012 to January 2013,and four machine learning models were established,i.e.,Random Forest(RF),Adaptive Boosting(AdaBoost),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree(GBDT)to predict the behavior of fishing vessels.The prediction performances of the models were evaluated by using normalized confusion matrix and receiver operator characteristic curve.Results show that the importance rankings of spatial(longitude and latitude)and time features were higher than those of speed and heading.The prediction performances of the RF and AdaBoost models were higher than those of the KNN and GBDT models.RF model showed the highest prediction performance for fishing state.Meanwhile,AdaBoost model exhibited the highest prediction performance for non-fishing state.This study offered a technical basis for judging the navigation characteristics of fishing vessels,which improved the algorithm for judging the behavior of fishing vessels based on VMS data,enhanced the prediction accuracy,and upgraded the fishery management being more scientific and efficient.
文摘System Identification becomes very crucial in the field of nonlinear and dynamic systems or practical systems.As most practical systems don’t have prior information about the system behaviour thus,mathematical modelling is required.The authors have proposed a stacked Bidirectional Long-Short Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)model to handle the problem of nonlinear dynamic system identification in this paper.The proposed model has the ability of faster learning and accurate modelling as it can be trained in both forward and backward directions.The main advantage of Bi-LSTM over other algorithms is that it processes inputs in two ways:one from the past to the future,and the other from the future to the past.In this proposed model a backward-running Long-Short Term Memory(LSTM)can store information from the future along with application of two hidden states together allows for storing information from the past and future at any moment in time.The proposed model is tested with a recorded speech signal to prove its superiority with the performance being evaluated through Mean Square Error(MSE)and Root Means Square Error(RMSE).The RMSE and MSE performances obtained by the proposed model are found to be 0.0218 and 0.0162 respectively for 500 Epochs.The comparison of results and further analysis illustrates that the proposed model achieves better performance over other models and can obtain higher prediction accuracy along with faster convergence speed.
文摘A generalized flexibility–based objective function utilized for structure damage identification is constructed for solving the constrained nonlinear least squares optimized problem. To begin with, the generalized flexibility matrix (GFM) proposed to solve the damage identification problem is recalled and a modal expansion method is introduced. Next, the objective function for iterative optimization process based on the GFM is formulated, and the Trust-Region algorithm is utilized to obtain the solution of the optimization problem for multiple damage cases. And then for computing the objective function gradient, the sensitivity analysis regarding design variables is derived. In addition, due to the spatial incompleteness, the influence of stiffness reduction and incomplete modal measurement data is discussed by means of two numerical examples with several damage cases. Finally, based on the computational results, it is evident that the presented approach provides good validity and reliability for the large and complicated engineering structures.
文摘In the synthesis of the control algorithm for complex systems, we are often faced with imprecise or unknown mathematical models of the dynamical systems, or even with problems in finding a mathematical model of the system in the open loop. To tackle these difficulties, an approach of data-driven model identification and control algorithm design based on the maximum stability degree criterion is proposed in this paper. The data-driven model identification procedure supposes the finding of the mathematical model of the system based on the undamped transient response of the closed-loop system. The system is approximated with the inertial model, where the coefficients are calculated based on the values of the critical transfer coefficient, oscillation amplitude and period of the underdamped response of the closed-loop system. The data driven control design supposes that the tuning parameters of the controller are calculated based on the parameters obtained from the previous step of system identification and there are presented the expressions for the calculation of the tuning parameters. The obtained results of data-driven model identification and algorithm for synthesis the controller were verified by computer simulation.
