Xinqiao Gully is located in the area of the 2008 Wenchuan M_(s)8.0 earthquake in Sichuan province,China.Based on the investigation of the 2023"6-26"Xinqiao Gully debris flow event,this study assessed the effectiveness of the debris flow control project and evaluated the debris flow hazards.Through field investigation and numerical simulation methods,the indicators of flow intensity reduction rate and storage capacity fullness were proposed to quantify the effectiveness of the engineering measures in the debris flow event.The simulation results show that the debris flow control project reduced the flow intensity by41.05%to 64.61%.The storage capacity of the dam decreases gradually from upstream to the mouth of the gully,thus effectively intercepting and controlling the debris flow.By evaluating the debris flow of different recurrence intervals,further measures are recommended for managing debris flow events. 展开更多

In the construction of a soft rock tunnel,it is critical to accurately estimate the pre-stressed anchor support parameters for surrounding rock reinforcement;otherwise,engineering disasters may occur.This paper presents a support parameter selection method that aims to allow deformation as a control objective,which was applied to the tunnel located in Muzailing Highway,Min County,Dingxi City,Gansu Province,China.Through theoretical analysis,we have identified five factors that influence pre-stressing anchorages.The selection of mechanical parameters for the rock mass was carried out using an inverse analysis method.Compared with the measured data,the maximum displacement error of the numerical simulation results was only 0.07 m.The length of anchor cable,circumferential spacing of anchor cable,longitudinal spacing,and pre-stress index are adopted as the input parameters for the support vector machine neural network model based on particle swarm optimization(PSO-LSSVM).Besides,the vault subsidence and the maximum deformation of surrounding rock are considered as output values(performance indices).The goodness of fit between the predicted values and the simulated values exceeds 0.9.Finally,all support parameters within the acceptable deformation range are calculated.The optimal support variables are derived by considering the construction cost and duration.The field application results show that it is feasible to construct the sample database utilizing the numerical simulation approach by taking the displacement as the control target and using the neural network to specify the appropriate support parameters. 展开更多

In this paper,an intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is proposed.The proposed algorithm is verified and evaluated by combining with the case of the basic finner projectile model and shows a good application prospect.Firstly,a numerical virtual flight simulation model based on overlapping dynamic mesh technology is constructed.In order to verify the accuracy of the dynamic grid technology and the calculation of unsteady flow,a numerical simulation of the basic finner projectile without control is carried out.The simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment data which shows that the algorithm used in this paper can also be used in the design and evaluation of the intelligent controller in the numerical virtual flight simulation.Secondly,combined with the real-time control requirements of aerodynamic,attitude and displacement parameters of the projectile during the flight process,the numerical simulations of the basic finner projectile’s pitch channel are carried out under the traditional PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative)control strategy and the intelligent PID control strategy respectively.The intelligent PID controller based on BP(Back Propagation)neural network can realize online learning and self-optimization of control parameters according to the acquired real-time flight parameters.Compared with the traditional PID controller,the concerned control variable overshoot,rise time,transition time and steady state error and other performance indicators have been greatly improved,and the higher the learning efficiency or the inertia coefficient,the faster the system,the larger the overshoot,and the smaller the stability error.The intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is capable of solving the complicated unsteady motion and flow with the intelligent PID control strategy and has a strong promotion to engineering application. 展开更多

With the rapid development of large megawatt wind turbines,the operation environment of wind turbine towers(WTTs)has become increasingly complex.In particular,seismic excitation can create a resonance response and cause excessive vibration of the WTT.To investigate the vibration attenuation performance of the WTT under seismic excitations,a novel passive vibration control device,called a prestressed tuned mass damper(PS-TMD),is presented in this study.First,a mathematical model is established based on structural dynamics under seismic excitation.Then,the mathematical analytical expression of the dynamic coefficient is deduced,and the parameter design method is obtained by system tuning optimization.Next,based on a theoretical analysis and parameter design,the numerical results showed that the PS-TMD was able to effectively mitigate the resonance under the harmonic basal acceleration.Finally,the time-history analysis method is used to verify the effectiveness of the traditional pendulum tuned mass damper(PTMD)and the novel PS-TMD device,and the results indicate that the vibration attenuation performance of the PS-TMD is better than the PTMD.In addition,the PS-TMD avoids the nonlinear effect due to the large oscillation angle,and has the potential to dissipate hysteretic energy under seismic excitation. 展开更多

3D elastic-plastic FE model for simulating the force controlled stretch-bending process of double-cavity aluminum profile was established using hybrid explicit−implicit solvent method.Considering the computational acc... 3D elastic-plastic FE model for simulating the force controlled stretch-bending process of double-cavity aluminum profile was established using hybrid explicit−implicit solvent method.Considering the computational accuracy and efficiency,the optimal choices of numerical parameters and algorithms in FE modelling were determined.The formation mechanisms of cross-section distortion and springback were revealed.The effects of pre-stretching,post-stretching,friction,and the addition of internal fillers on forming quality were investigated.The results show that the stress state of profile in stretch-bending is uniaxial with only a circumferential stress.The stress distribution along the length direction of profile is non-uniform and the maximum tensile stress is located at a certain distance away from the center of profile.As aluminum profile is gradually attached to bending die,the distribution characteristic of cross-section distortion along the length direction of profile changes from V-shape to W-shape.After unloading the forming tools,cross-section distortion decreases obviously due to the stress relaxation,with a maximum distortion difference of 13%before and after unloading.As pre-stretching and post-stretching forces increase,cross-section distortion increases gradually,while springback first decreases and then remains unchanged.With increasing friction between bending die and profile,cross-section distortion slightly decreases,while springback increases.Cross-section distortion decreases by 83%with adding PVC fillers into the cavities of profile,while springback increases by 192.2%. 展开更多

Lax-Oleinik-Type Formulas and Efficient Algorithms for Certain High-Dimensional Optimal Control Problems

Two of the main challenges in optimal control are solving problems with state-dependent running costs and developing efficient numerical solvers that are computationally tractable in high dimensions.In this paper,we provide analytical solutions to certain optimal control problems whose running cost depends on the state variable and with constraints on the control.We also provide Lax-Oleinik-type representation formulas for the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi partial differential equations with state-dependent Hamiltonians.Additionally,we present an efficient,grid-free numerical solver based on our representation formulas,which is shown to scale linearly with the state dimension,and thus,to overcome the curse of dimensionality.Using existing optimization methods and the min-plus technique,we extend our numerical solvers to address more general classes of convex and nonconvex initial costs.We demonstrate the capabilities of our numerical solvers using implementations on a central processing unit(CPU)and a field-programmable gate array(FPGA).In several cases,our FPGA implementation obtains over a 10 times speedup compared to the CPU,which demonstrates the promising performance boosts FPGAs can achieve.Our numerical results show that our solvers have the potential to serve as a building block for solving broader classes of high-dimensional optimal control problems in real-time. 展开更多

超高性能混凝土(UHPC)在工程结构加固领域应用前景广阔,新浇UHPC加固层与既有混凝土可靠的界面黏结性能,是确保加固结构服役性能的关键。为研究不同界面处理方式对UHPC与普通混凝土(NC)间黏结性能的影响,设计制作了6个Z形UHPC-NC界面抗... 超高性能混凝土(UHPC)在工程结构加固领域应用前景广阔,新浇UHPC加固层与既有混凝土可靠的界面黏结性能,是确保加固结构服役性能的关键。为研究不同界面处理方式对UHPC与普通混凝土(NC)间黏结性能的影响,设计制作了6个Z形UHPC-NC界面抗剪试件,探究光滑、凿毛、凿毛+植筋3种不同UHPC-NC结合面黏结性能,并通过建立混凝土结合面非线性有限元模型,探讨剪切荷载作用下不同UHPC-NC结合面黏结应力的分布规律。结果表明:UHPC-NC界面黏结性能随结合面粗糙度增大不断提高,界面抗剪钢筋有利于延缓混凝土结合面脱黏和裂缝发展;相比光滑UHPC-NC结合面,平均凿毛深度为4 mm且植入4根直径8 mm抗剪钢筋的混凝土结合面,其抗剪强度、刚度及弹性刚度依次增大了156.1%、10.9%和101.0%,且随着界面裂缝不断发展,凿毛+植筋处理的UHPC-NC界面剪应力分布渐趋均匀,结合面残余黏结作用主要由界面抗剪钢筋提供。 展开更多

电力装备零件加工具有小批量、多品种、加工复杂度不高的离散型制造特性,但频繁的装夹和换型调试会严重影响设备综合效率(Overall Equipment Effectiveness,OEE),导致加工效率偏低。研究结果表明:通过柔性组合工装设计,将大部分装夹过... 电力装备零件加工具有小批量、多品种、加工复杂度不高的离散型制造特性,但频繁的装夹和换型调试会严重影响设备综合效率(Overall Equipment Effectiveness,OEE),导致加工效率偏低。研究结果表明:通过柔性组合工装设计,将大部分装夹过程转移至设备外,可减少停机等待时间;通过模块化安装节点设计,快速提升工装安装速度,可缩短换型时间。通过对某数控机床(Computer Numerical Control,CNC)设备的工装进行柔性模块化改造,产品装夹时间和换型时间分别缩短了56.71%和41.18%,设备OEE水平提升了26.17%。经过3年推广应用,企业CNC设备的OEE已由45%~55%提升为70%~80%,产品交付效率显著提高,产品竞争力逐步增强。此外,该柔性模块化工装改造新模式,可为国内广大制造业厂家提供一种新的降本增效思路。 展开更多

Based on the flee-weighing matrix method, a dehy-dependent stability criterion satisfying a prescribed H-infinity norm bound is presented for an NCS with unknown, time-varying and bounded delays. And then, the criterion is transformed into sufficient conditions based on linear matrix inequalities for H-infinity control. The conditions thus obtained are also used to design an H-infinity state feedback controller. This design method is further extended to solve the design problem of robust H-infinity state feedback control. A numerical example demonstrates the validity of the method. 展开更多

A new problem that classical statistical methods are incapable of solving is reliability modeling and assessment when multiple numerical control machine tools(NCMTs) reveal zero failures after a reliability test. Thus, the zero-failure data form and corresponding Bayesian model are developed to solve the zero-failure problem of NCMTs, for which no previous suitable statistical model has been developed. An expert-judgment process that incorporates prior information is presented to solve the difficulty in obtaining reliable prior distributions of Weibull parameters. The equations for the posterior distribution of the parameter vector and the Markov chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) algorithm are derived to solve the difficulty of calculating high-dimensional integration and to obtain parameter estimators. The proposed method is applied to a real case; a corresponding programming code and trick are developed to implement an MCMC simulation in Win BUGS, and a mean time between failures(MTBF) of 1057.9 h is obtained. Given its ability to combine expert judgment, prior information, and data, the proposed reliability modeling and assessment method under the zero failure of NCMTs is validated. 展开更多

To satisfy the need of high speed NC (numerical control) machining, an acceleration and deceleration (acc/dec) control model is proposed, and the speed curve is also constructed by the cubic polynomial. The proposed control model provides continuity of acceleration, which avoids the intense vibration in high speed NC machining. Based on the discrete characteristic of the data sampling interpolation, the acc/dec control discrete mathematical model is also set up and the discrete expression of the theoretical deceleration length is obtained furthermore. Aiming at the question of hardly predetermining the deceleration point in acc/dec control before interpolation, the adaptive acc/dec control algorithm is deduced from the expressions of the theoretical deceleration length. The experimental result proves that the acc/dec control model has the characteristic of easy implementation, stable movement and low impact. By using coordinate transformand delay partition, the D-stability and H∞ performance problemsfor such networked control systems (NCSs) are equivalentlytransferred into the corresponding problems for switching systemswith arbitrary switching. Then, a sufficient condition for the existenceof the robust D-stabilizing controllers is derived in termsof linear matrix inequality (LMI), and the design method is alsopresented for the state feedback controllers which guarantee thatall the closed-loop poles remain inside the specified disk D(α,r)and the desired disturbance attenuation level. A novel adaptive fault-tolerant control scheme in the differential algebraic framework was proposed for attitude control of a heavy lift launch vehicle (HLLV). By using purely mathematical transformations, the decoupled input-output representations of HLLV were derived, rendering three decoupled second-order systems, i.e., pitch, yaw and roll channels. Based on a new type of numerical differentiator, a differential algebraic observer (DAO) was proposed for estimating the system states and the generalized disturbances, including various disturbances and additive fault torques. Driven by DAOs, three improved proportional-integral- differential (PID) controllers with disturbance compensation were designed for pitch, yaw and roll control. All signals in the closed-loop system were guaranteed to be ultimately uniformly bounded by utilization of Lyapunov's indirect method. The convincing numerical simulations indicate that the proposed control scheme is successful in achieving high performance in the presence of parametric perturbations, external disturbances, noisy corruptions, and actuator faults. 展开更多
