Based on the fundamental equations of piezoelasticity of quasicrystal material,we investigated the interaction between a screw dislocation and a wedge-shaped crack in the piezoelectricity of one-dimensional hexagonal quasicrystals.Explicit analytical solutions are obtained for stress and electric displacement intensity factors of the crack,as well as the force on dislocation.The derivation is based on the conformal mapping method and the perturbation technique.The influences of the wedge angle and dislocation location on the image force are also discussed.The results obtained in this paper can be fully reduced to some special cases already available or deriving new ones. 展开更多

Using a method of potential functions introduced successively to integrate the field equations of three-dimensional problems for transversely isotropic piezoelectric materials, we obtain the so-called general solution in which the dis- placement components and electric potential functions are represented by a singular function satisfying some special partial differential equations of 6th order. In order to analyse the mechanical-electric coupling behaviour of penny-shaped crack for above materials, another form of the general solution is obtained under cylindrical coordi- nate system by introducing three quasi-harmonic functions into the general equations obtained above. It is shown that both the two forms of the general solutions are complete. Furthermore, the mechanical-electric coupling behaviour of penny-shaped crack in transversely isotropic piezoelectric media is analysed under axisymmetric tensile loading case, and the crack-tip stress field and electric displacement field are obtained. The results show that the stress and the electric displacement components near the crack tip have (r^(-1/2)) singularity. 展开更多

The interaction of arbitrarily distributed penny-shaped cracks in three-dimensional solids is analyzed in this paper. Using oblate spheroidal coordinates and displacement functions, an analytic method is devel- oped in which the opening and the sliding displacements on each crack surface are taken as the basic unknown functions. The basic unknown functions can be expanded in series of Legendre polynomials with unknown coefficients. Based on superposition technique, a set of governing equations for the unknown coefficients are formulated from the traction free conditions on each crack surface. The boundary collocation procedure and the average method for crack-surface tractions are used for solving the governing equations. The solution can be obtained for quite closely located cracks. Numerical examples are given for several crack problems. By comparing the present results with other existing results, one can conclude that the present method provides a direct and efficient approach to deal with three-dimensional solids containing multiple cracks. 展开更多

The crack surfaces are subjected to only radial shear impact loading. The Laplace and Hankel transform techniques are employed to reduce the problem to solving a Fredholm integral equation. The dynamic stress intensity factor is obtained and numerically calculated for different layer heights. And the corresponding static solution is given by simple analysis. It is seen that the dynamic stress intensity factor for cracks in a magnetoelectroelastic layer has the same expression as that in a purely elastic material. It is found that the phonon and phason stresses near the crack tips exhibit inversesquare root singularities. The four complex stress functions characterizing the phonon and phasonfields are derived. In this paper, the analytical solution of stress field for a strained reinforcement layer bonded to a lip-shaped crack under a remote mode III uniform load and a concentrated load is obtained explicitly in the series form by using the technical of conformal mapping and the method of analytic continuation. The effects of material combinations, bond of interface and geometric configurations on interfaciai stresses generated by eigenstrain, remote load and concentrated load are studied. The results show that the stress concentration and interfaciai stresses can be reduced by rational material combinations and geometric configurations designs for different load forms. 展开更多

By using Hankel transform technique,the mixed boundary value problem is firstly reduced to a system of singular integral equations,which are further reduced to a system of algebraic equations. The field intensity factors and energy release rate are finally derived. Numerical results elucidate the eects of crack configuration,electric and/or magnetic loads,and material parameters of the magnetoelectroelastic layers on crack propagation and growth. The shear modulus is assumed to be functionally graded such that the mathematics is tractable. Laplace and Hankel transforms were used to reduce the problem to solving a Fredholm integral equation. The crack tip stress field is obtained by considering the asymptotic behavior of Bessel function. Explicit expressions of both the dynamic stress intensity factor and the energy density factor were derived.And it is shown that, as crack driving force, they are equivalent for the present crack problem. Investigated are the effects of material nonhomogeneity and (strip's) highness on the dynamic fracture behavior. Numerical results reveal that the peak of the dynamic stress intensity factor can be suppressed by increasing the nonhomogeneity parameter of the shear modulus, and that the dynamic behavior varies little with the adjusting of the strip's highness. 展开更多

Due to the nonlinearity of breathing crack, cracked structure under excitation of a single frequency always generates higher harmonic components. In this paper, operational deflection shape (ODS) at excitation frequency and its higher harmonic components are used to map the deflection pattern of cracked structure. While ODS is sensitive to local variation of structure in nature, a new concept named transmissibility of operational deflection shape (TODS) has been defined for crack localization using beam-like structure. The transmissibility indicates the energy transfer from basic frequency to higher frequency. Then, Teager energy operator (TEO) is employed as a singularity detector to reveal and characterize the features of TODS. Numerical and experimental analysis in cantilever beam show that TODS has strong sensitivity to crack and can locate the crack correctly. 展开更多

It is essential to precisely predict the crack growth,especially the near-threshold regime crack growth under different stress ratios,for most engineering structures consume their fatigue lives in this regime under random loading.In this paper,an improved unique curve model is proposed based on the unique curve model,and the determination of the shape exponents of this model is provided.The crack growth rate curves of some materials taken from the literature are evaluated using the improved model,and the results indicate that the improved model can accurately predict the crack growth rate in the nearthreshold and Paris regimes.The improved unique curve model can solve the problems about the shape exponents determination and weak ability around the near-threshold regime meet in the unique curve model.In addition,the shape exponents in the improved model at negative stress ratios are discussed,which can directly adopt that in the unique curve model. 展开更多

The fatigue crack propagation behavior of TiNi50.6 shape memory alloy was studied. The ex- periment results showed that the crack propagation properties of this alloy display difference and similarity in comparison with common metallic materials. Because of the stress concentra- tion there was stress induced martensite transformation (SIMT) near the crack tip though the nominal stress was lower than the threshold stress of SIMT. The position and the amount of SIMT was in situ observed by a quester remote measurement system (QRMS). The observation results showed that the position of SIMT was beside the crack tip and was not in the plastic zone of common metallic materials (in front of the crack tip). The SIMT zone at an angle of about 45°to the direction of the crack propagation, like a butterfly,appeared in the loading process, disappeared in the unloading process and grew larger with the increase of K. The crack propagation rate(da/dN) followed the linear law in lg-lg plot. Observation of the crack surface showed fatigue striation clearly. The relationship between the site and the size of the plastic zone and the SIMT zone is discussed and a model is given to explain both the similarity and the difference of the crack propagation property of TiNi50.6 to common metal materials. 展开更多

Intergranular stress corrosion cracking (ISCC) of α-brass in neutral Mattsson's solution was found to be controlled by an unusual 'W'-shaped galvanic cell whose cathode is the grain boundary oxide film (G.B.0. film) and surface film and the anode is fresh metal at the cracked tip on both sides of the G.B.0. film. Redox reactions involved in the cell have been proposed here. According to this mdel, initidtion of ISCC is caused by the rupturing of surface film along grain boundaries, thus forming a galvanic cell. Propagation of ISCC resulted from alternate advances of G.B.0. film and dissolution on both sides of G.B.0. film caused by the effect of electrochemical reaction. This work developed an effective approach to investigate the embrittlement process at the tip of the crack, by increasing the length of the embrittlement region through constant strain test and distinguishing the morphology and the nature of the corrosion products by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEH). 展开更多

为了解斜拉桥施工阶段π型混凝土梁翼缘板斜向裂缝成因并制定合理的防裂措施,以某主跨120 m的π型预应力混凝土梁斜拉桥为背景,针对其悬臂施工阶段主梁翼缘板下表面出现斜向裂缝的现象进行分析。采用ANSYS软件建立该桥施工阶段杆系模型... 为了解斜拉桥施工阶段π型混凝土梁翼缘板斜向裂缝成因并制定合理的防裂措施,以某主跨120 m的π型预应力混凝土梁斜拉桥为背景,针对其悬臂施工阶段主梁翼缘板下表面出现斜向裂缝的现象进行分析。采用ANSYS软件建立该桥施工阶段杆系模型与混凝土梁实体模型,分析梁体自重、斜拉索张拉、预应力张拉、混凝土收缩、混凝土水化热作用下主梁翼缘板下表面应力情况。结果表明:梁体自重及斜拉索张拉作用下,翼缘板下表面未出现拉应力;横向及纵向预应力张拉作用下,翼缘板下表面产生一定的拉应力,但未超过混凝土抗拉强度标准值;混凝土收缩作用下,翼缘板下表面产生极小的拉应力,不会引起裂缝;混凝土养护过程中水化热作用下,翼缘板下表面混凝土与周边混凝土存在一定温差,部分测点第一主应力超过混凝土抗拉强度标准值,是开裂的主要原因。针对混凝土水化热作用影响,提出主肋布置冷却水管与翼缘板下方火炉加热并用的防裂措施,建立热流耦合模型分析防裂效果。结果表明:所采用的措施能够改善主梁养护过程中水化热温度场分布,各测点第一主应力均未超过混凝土抗拉强度标准值。 展开更多

为确定铁基形状记忆合金(Fe-SMA)主动加固正交异性钢桥面板横隔板弧形切口疲劳裂纹的可行性,以某在役钢箱梁斜拉桥为背景进行实桥加固研究。根据现场横隔板弧形切口的开裂特征,在对裂纹钻孔止裂的基础上,提出利用Fe-SMA材料对横隔板弧... 为确定铁基形状记忆合金(Fe-SMA)主动加固正交异性钢桥面板横隔板弧形切口疲劳裂纹的可行性,以某在役钢箱梁斜拉桥为背景进行实桥加固研究。根据现场横隔板弧形切口的开裂特征,在对裂纹钻孔止裂的基础上,提出利用Fe-SMA材料对横隔板弧形切口裂纹进行粘贴加固的方案,并进行加固施工。通过现场测试得到Fe-SMA板条热激活过程的应变和温度变化,分析Fe-SMA板条和钢板之间的相互作用及加固机理。结果表明:粘贴Fe-SMA板利用Fe-SMA热驱动形状记忆效应可有效便捷地为结构施加预压应力,实现对受损部位的主动加固;经过Fe-SMA联合止裂孔修复后,热驱动作用下的Fe-SMA可以产生200~240 MPa的预拉应力,并在钢板止裂孔边缘施加43~90 MPa的压应力,可有效阻止裂纹进一步扩展;加固体系在加热激活过程完好可靠,当控制一侧加热区域中部温度为200℃时,热传导作用下非加热区域中部的温度为60℃以下,而背面总体温度基本在90℃以下。 展开更多
