Chrysosplenium fallax Koldaeva(Chrysosplenium),a newly recorded species from China

Chrysosplenium fallax Koldaeva,recently discovered and collected in Yanji,Jilin Province,repre-sents a newly recorded species of Saxifragaceae in China.This species,native to the Russian Far East,was first described as a new species in 2021.Based on precise field investigations and specimen examination,we provide a comprehensive description of C.fallax and its seed micromorphology.Phylogenetic analysis based on chloroplast genomes of 45 Chrysosplenium species confirmed the systematic position of C.fallax in Chrysosplenium.Voucher specimens were deposited in the Herbarium of South-Central Minzu University(HSN).

Protoraphis Simonsen, a newly recorded marine epizoic diatom genus for China

Epizoic diatoms on marine copepods are common in nature and may have a special ecological relationship with their hosts.However,this special ecological group is not well known,and it has only rarely been studied in the China seas.To address this knowledge gap,the species diversity and classification of epizoic diatoms on planktonic copepods were studied with samples collected from the East China Sea.In the present study,a marine araphid diatom genus Protoraphis and its type species,Pr.hustedtiana,were observed and identified by light and electron microscopy,thus representing the first record of this genus and its type species in China.This genus is characterized by a median sternum strongly bent to opposite sides and terminate in two transapical grooves at the valve ends.Protoraphis hustedtiana was found to be epizoic on the posterior body appendages and segments of the marine calanoid copepod Candacia bradyi.An internal view shows a complex,ear-shaped process that is close to the apical slit field.The ecological habitats and geographical distributions of Protoraphis were also discussed,and,together with complementary morphological studies,our results have increased the number of records for marine epizoic diatoms to three genera with three species in China,including Pseudohimantidium and Pseudofalcula.

Taxonomy of the genus Omonadus Mulsant & Rey(Coleoptera:Anthicidae) from China, with a newly recorded species

The genus Omonadus Mulsant & Rey from China is reviewed, including a newly recorded species, O. cintomus(Marseul) and another four species and subspecies: O. confucii confucii(Marseul), O. confucii addendus(Krekich-Strassoldo), O. floralis(Linnaeus) and O. formicarius formicarius(Goeze). All species checked are redescribed and illustrated. An identification key for this species from China is presented. The study was based on specimens from the Insect Collection, School of Agriculture, Ningxia University(SANXU) and Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences(IZCAS).

A virus vector species of Ceratothripoides new to China(Thysanoptera:Tripidae)

In this paper, the newly recorded species Ceratothripoides claratris （Shumsher） is described and illustrated. This species is an important vector of the Capsicum Chlorosis Virus. Slide-mounted specimens are deposited at Yunnan Agricultural University.

Report of Prionospio complex(Annelida:Polychaeta:Spio-nidae) from China's waters,with description of a new species

Nine species of Prionospio complex are recorded from China＇s waters,including one new species and six newly recorded species.Prionospio（Prionospio） pacifica sp.nov.,is characterized by having first and forth pairs of branchiae pinnate,second and third pairs of apinnate,ventral crest on Setiger 9 and dorsal crests on Setigers 10-25.Apoprionospio kirrae（Wilson,1990）,Prionospio（Aquilaspio） convexa Imajima,1990,Prionospio（Minuspio） multibranchiata Berkeley,1927,Prionospio（Prionospio） bocki Sderstrm,1920,Prionospio（Prionospio） dubia Maciolek,1985 and Prionospio（Prionospio） paradisea Imajima,1990 are recorded for the first time from China＇s waters.
