The microstructure and tribological properties of the composite coatings were researched. The results show that the composite coatings mainly consist of γ-Ni, α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3 and rutile-TiO2 etc, and exhibit lower friction coefficients and wear losses than the Ni-based alloy coatings at different loads and speeds. The composite coating bears low contact stress at 3 N and its wear mechanism is micro-cutting wear. As loads increase to 6-12 N, the contact stress is higher than the elastic limit stress of worn surface, and the wear mechanisms change into multi-plastic deformation wear, micro-brittle fracture wear and abrasive wear. With the increase of speeds, the contact temperature of worn surface increases. The composite coating experiences multi-plastic deformation wear, fatigue wear and adhesive wear.展开更多

The effects of nano-CeO2 concentrations in electrolyte on microstructures and properties of nano-composite coatings were studied. Based on an orthogonal experimental design and analysis method, the CeO2-rein- forced nickel nano-composite coatings were prepared by direct current electrodeposition in a nickel sulfate bath containing CeO2 nanoparticles. Statistical results indicate that current density is the most significant variable in the electrodeposition processing, while temperature is the least important factor. The microstructure of Ni and Ni-CeO2 nano-composite coatings was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy-disper- sive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The microhardness of the Ni coating is enhanced by the incorporation of CeO2 nanoparticles. With these two approaches, the coating thickness can be measured in real time with higher accuracy than the voltage-frequency conversion method. During the process of plating all the technological parameters are displayed visually on the front panel of the Ⅵ. The nano-SiO2 was dispersed into crylic acid resin by ultrasonic wave and high-energy ball milling, the influence of nano-SiO2 on shielding property of coatings was investigated. Relation between particle size distribution of original nano-SiO2 and its dispersal in water and alcohol after treatment were analyzed, respectively. The ultraviolet permeation rate of coatings filled with nano-SiO2 was detected by ultraviolet spectral photometer. And the particle size distribution of coatings was examined by TEM. The results show that particle size distribution is comparative convergence and smaller one order of magnitude after dispersal treatment. The size of most nano-SiO2 in coatings is smaller than 100nm, which indicates that the amount of nano-SiO2 in the resin is 20% (solid content of resin), the permeation rate of ultraviolet of composite coatings decreases to 20%. The research of its excellent ultraviolet shielding property mechanism indicates minor size and high surface energy of nano-SiO2 can produce different absorption, reflection and scatter actions to different wavelengths.展开更多

文摘The effect of Al content on the ductile-brittle transition temperature of Al-Si coating and the effect of fracture behaviour.of the Al-Si coating on the fatigue properties of Ni-base superallovs have been investigated to propose the theoretical basis of search for an optimum of mechanical properties of the high temperature coating on Ni-base alloys.
文摘The yttraluminizing coating on the Ni-base superalloys has been developed by dipping the specimens in a specially made yttrium-containing slurry as an underlayer and over spraying a Cr-Al slurry as a protective layer, then heating to 1060℃ and holding for 1 h under argon atmosphere.Analysis by EPMA showed that the yttrium was concentrated in the intermediate zone of the coating as metallic compound Ni-5Y.After exposure to air up to 1000℃,the oxidation test revealed that the anti-oxidation resistance of the yttraluminizing coating with post-aluminizing is much superior to that with single aluminizing only.

文摘Current machinery requires metallic materials to have better surface properties. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize the corrosion behavior of Ni and Ni-CeO2 coatings. These studies show that Ni- CeOz coating has better corrosion resistance compared to Ni coating.
文摘A Ni-based alloy coating with 30 wt.%spherical fungsten carbide particles was prepared through plasma transferred arc welding on 42CrMo steel. The composition and microstructure of the coati ng were examined through X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectrometry. The corrosion behaviors of the coating compared to the Ni coating without tungsten carbide particles and to the bare substrate in a0.5 mol/L HC1 solution were presented through polarization curves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)measurements and long-term immersion tests. The results demonstrated that the composite coating microstructure comprised Ni matrix,Ni-rich phase, tungsten carbide particles,W-rich phase and Cr-rich phase. The polarization curves and EIS measurements presented that a passivation film, which mainly included Ni,Cr,Fe and W oxides, was formed in the composite coating that protected the substrate from corrosion by HC1 solution. In the immersion tests,a micro-galvanic reaction at the new-formed phases and Ni matrix interface caused severe pit corrosion and Ni matrix consumption. The debonding of Ni-rich and W-rich phases could be observed with the immersion time extension. The tungsten carbide particles and Cr-rich phase were still attached on the surface for up to 30 days.

文摘A virtual instrument(Ⅵ) was developed to monitor the technological parameters in the process of brush plating, including coating thickness, brush-plating current, current density, deposition rate, and brush plating voltage. Meanwhile two approaches were presented to improve the measurement accuracy of coating thickness. One of them aims at eliminating the random interferences by moving average filtering; while the other manages to calculate the quantity of electricity consumed accurately with rectangular integration. With these two approaches, the coating thickness can be measured in real time with higher accuracy than the voltage-frequency conversion method. During the process of plating all the technological parameters are displayed visually on the front panel of the Ⅵ. Once brush current or current density overruns the limited values, or when the coating thickness reaches the objective value, the virtual will alarm. With this Ⅵ, the solution consumption can be decreased and the operating efficiency is improved.
文摘nfluence of hot corrosion on the creep rupture behavior for both single crystal Ni-based superalloy DD3and specimens coated with Pt-Al was studied. In mixed salt, Pt-Al coating can improve creep properties of thealloy. The low melting point eutectic products lead to premature failure of alloy. This article proposes a newfracture model to explain the creep fracture behavior of DD3 at elevated temperature.
文摘The present status and development trends of nano-composite coatings were briefly introduced. The research of its excellent ultraviolet shielding property mechanism indicates minor size and high surface energy of nano-SiO2 can produce different absorption, reflection and scatter actions to different wavelengths.
