Transitions of normal universities in our country are inexorable trends with the development of the times. Study on Current Situation and Countermeasures of English Language Culture Teaching for English Majors in Local Normal Universities

At present, English language teaching for English majors in local normal universities in China has been restricted by many aspects of factors, and the current situation is not optimistic. The main reason for this situation is that the teachers and students of English majors in some local normal universities have some deviation in understanding the English language. The teachers can not have the right attitude towards English language culture teaching,and they make one-sided emphasis on the skill learning of English language majors,but ignore the normal teaching of professional English language culture. Survey and Countermeasures on Current Situation of Life Education for College Students in Local Normal Colleges and Universities

Life education is the precondition of all education.This paper explored the current situation of life education for college students in local normal colleges and universities through questionnaire survey,and traced the history of life education in the world and China.Combined with history and reality,it analyzed the current problems of life education for college students mainly in three aspects,namely,the lack of connectivity in the educational process,the excessive productization of education,and the fragmentation of life education.Finally,it came up with pertinent recommendations in line with these problems.

Interpreting and considering the development of the goal orientation in the transformation of Chinese normal universities

Exploration and Analysis of the Implementation Plan of the Three-whole Education in Xianyang Normal

Research on Career Development and Career Counseling Programs for Normal Students Based on the“ATR Model”

This study uses the“ATR Three-Stage Progressive Cyclic Career Counseling Model”to support the early career development of new teachers,aiming at the challenges faced by new teachers under China's"Double Reduction"policy.Based on the theories of Person-Job matching and Career Development,this paper analyzes the career counseling attitude of 347 new teachers through questionnaires.It is found that although new teachers actively seek career counseling,their practice is limited.The study recommends the development of career counseling programs,strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and industry,encouraging continuing professional development,establishing assessment feedback mechanisms,and raising awareness of career counseling for new teachers to promote their career development.

From Teacher-Education University to Comprehensive University:Case Studies of East China Normal University,Southwest University and Yanbian University

Three different“logics”—that of the internal strategies of the institutions,the economic pressures of the socialist market economy and the political policies of the state drive the development of a university.The dynamic interaction and coexistence of the three logics has determined the transformation models of teacher-education or normal universities in China.This paper aims at describing and analyzing both the process and the forces that led to these transformations by taking East China Normal University(ECNU),Southwest University(SWU)and Yanbian University(YBU)as examples.Reliance on government and market resources has put these universities into a dilemma:On the one hand,they wanted to retain their original features so as to preserve their leading position in the“teacher education”market,and on the other,they needed to merge,expand,restructure and enhance their quality as they pursued overall development.The case analyses show that the teacher-education university’s need for self-development,which is the internal determinant,plays a critical role in its transformation.At the same time,the socioeconomic environment and national policies influence the institution while it displays considerable capacity for self-adjustment.
