This study was carried out from December 2017 to March 2018. We applied the theme of the dissipation of the dissociation between nursing skills learned in basic nursing education and nursing skills required in practice. A questionnaire survey was conducted at four facilities among new nursing staff who had acquired their nursing license in the past year. The questionnaire was composed of questions about their experiences of oral care for intubated patients, when they learned these skills, and what they wanted to learn. Answers were obtained from 118 new nurses. Learning about oral care was important for approximately 20% of the nurses, although it was not considered mandatory by all of the nurses. As infection control measures have revealed the acute needs of care for intubated patients, it is important for nursing students to learn about oral care and attitudes towards intubated patients, along with methods to make intubated patients more comfortable.展开更多

Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 7 people in charge of organizing practicums at hospitals where they are carried out. These subjects were asked about problems they had experienced in relation to nursing students’ handling of patient information and the instruction that is needed so that problems related to nursing students’ handling of information do not occur. Various problems were shown to occur in relation to nursing students’ handling of patient information, such as handling the information outside of the practicum setting. Many students receive no instruction with regard to the ethics of handling patient information in their classroom work, and their awareness regarding information is cannot be considered high, indicating the need for more consistent and reliable education in this area. The findings also suggest that instruction is needed with regard to the handling of sensitive information in accordance with the circumstances of individual patients.展开更多

The problems faced by active nurses in participating in CNE include funding restrictions, time limitation and ability limitation. Logistic stepwise regression analysis reveals that the age of active nurses and working years of nurses are negatively correlated with the funding restrictions for participating in CNE (P < 0.05). It is relatively more difficult for young nurses with less working experience to obtain funding for participating in CNE. Moreover, there is a negative correlation between age, educational level and the ability of nurses to participate in CNE (P < 0.05). Younger nurses with lower educational level are more difficult to participate in CNE due to personal ability. There is a positive correlation between the length of working experience and the time limitation faced to participate in CNE (P < 0.05). Senior nurses are too busy with their work to participate in CNE due to limited time. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The problems faced by active nurses in Tibet in participating in CNE come from funding, time and ability. Young nurses with limited working experience cannot participate in CNE resulting from limited ability and funds;while senior nurses are mainly restricted by time. 文摘BACKGROUND Ischemic stroke(IS)is a widely recognized disease characterized by high preva-lence,mortality,morbidity,disability,and recurrence rates. It ranks prominently in terms of mortality, constituting 60%-80%of stroke cases.AIM To explore the impact of comprehensive nursing care on the quality of life and swallowing function in individuals diagnosed with IS.METHODS This study comprised 172 patients with IS admitted to our hospital between February 2018 to March 2021.The participants were divided into two groups, namely the control group(n=80)receiving routine care and the research group(n=92)receiving comprehensive care.Various assessment scales, including the standard swallowing function assessment scale(SSA),National Institutes of Health Stroke scale(NIHSS),European stroke scale(ESS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),Barthel index(BI),and the motor func-tion assessment scale(MAS),were employed to evaluate the improvement in swallowing function, neurological deficits, clinical outcomes, anxiety, depression, daily living activities, and motor function before and after care.Furthermore, the study compared the occurrence of adverse reactions during the nursing period, life quality before and after the intervention, rehabilitation compliance, and nursing satisfaction between the two groups.RESULTS After the nursing intervention, the research group exhibited significantly improved SSA and NIHSS scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,both groups demonstrated significant reductions in SAS and SDS scores(P<0.05),with the research group showing more obvious advantages(P<0.05).Compared to the control group, the research group displayed significantly better ESS,BI,and MAS scores(P<0.05),coupled with a lower incidence of adverse reactions(P<0.05).Additionally,the research group demonstrated markedly higher levels of life quality, rehabilitation compliance, and nursing satisfaction compared to the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing effectively improved swallowing function, quality of life, and patient satisfaction,high-lighting its clinical significance.
文摘BACKGROUND Chronic sinusitis is a kind of chronic suppurative inflammation of the sinus mucosa.Nasal endoscopy is a good method to treat nasal polyps. However postoperative rehabilitation and care should not be neglected.AIM To investigate the Effect of nursing intervention on the rehabilitation of patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps(CSNPS)after nasal endoscopy.METHODS A total of 129 patients with CSNPS hospitalized from February 2017 to February 2019 were studied.Using the digital parity method,we investigated nursing cooperation strategies for endoscopic surgery. The comparison group(64 cases):Surgical nursing was carried out with traditional nursing measures;experimental group(65 cases):Surgical nursing was carried out by traditional nursing countermeasures+comprehensive nursing measures. We compared postoperative recovery rates, nursing satisfaction rates, and nasal cavity ratings between the two groups.RESULTS Experimental group patients with CSNPS had a significantly higher recovery rate(98.46%)compared to the control group(79.69%).This difference was statistically significant(χ2=11.748,P<0.05).Additionally,the satisfaction rate with treatment was also significantly higher in the experimental group(98.46%)compared to the control group(79.69%),with a statistically significant difference(χ2=11.748,P<0.05).Before nursing, there was no significant difference in sinus nasal cavity scores between the experimental group(20.29±7.25 points)and the control group(20.30±7.27 points)(t=0.008,P>0.05).However,after nursing, the sinus nasal cavity score in the experimental group(8.85±3.22 points)was significantly lower than that in the control group(14.99±5.02 points)(t=8.282,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing intervention in patients with CSNPS can significantly improve the total recovery rate after endoscopic surgery.
文摘BACKGROUND Cerebral infarction, previously referred to as cerebral infarction or ischemic stroke, refers to the localized brain tissue experiencing ischemic necrosis or softening due to disorders in brain blood supply, ischemia, and hypoxia. The precision rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management is a continuous, fixed, orderly, and efficient nursing model aimed at standardizing the clinical nursing process, reducing the wastage of medical resources, and improving the quality of medical services.AIM To analyze the value of a precise rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management in patients with cerebral infarction.METHODS Patients(n=124)admitted to our hospital with cerebral infarction between November 2019 and November 2021 were enrolled as the study subjects. The random number table method was used to divide them into a conventional nursing intervention group(n=61)and a model nursing intervention group(n=63).Changes in the nursing index for the two groups were compared after conventional nursing intervention and precise rehabilitation intervention nursing for chronic disease management.RESULTS Compared with the conventional intervention group, the model intervention group had a shorter time to clinical symptom relief(P<0.05),lower Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale scores,a lower incidence of total complications(P<0.05),a higher disease knowledge mastery rate, higher safety and quality, and a higher overall nursing satisfaction rate(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The precision rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management improves the clinical symptoms of patients with cerebral infarction, reducing the incidence of total complications and improving the clinical outcome of patients, and is worthy of application in clinical practice.
文摘BACKGROUND Radical surgery is a preferred treatment for colorectal carcinoma, wherein nursing intervention is essential for postoperative recovery and prevention of complications.Recently, the application of humanistic care in medical care has attracted attention.Humanistic care emphasizes comprehensive care, with importance attached to patients’physical needs as well as psychological and emotional support to provide more humane and personalized care services. However,no clinical reports have examined the use of humanistic care in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma.AIM To investigate the influence of humanistic care-based operating room nursing on the safety, postoperative recovery, and nursing satisfaction of patients who have undergone radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma.METHODS In total,120 patients with rectal cancer who underwent surgery in Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University between August 2023 and March 2024 were selected and grouped based on the nursing methods employed.Of these patients,55 were treated with routine nursing intervention(control group)and 65 were provided humanistic care-based operating room nursing(research group). The patients’vital signs were recorded, including systolic/diastolic blood pressure(SBP/DBP)and heart beats per minute(BPM),as well as serum stress indices, including norepinephrine(NE),adrenal hormone(AD),and cortisol(Cor).Postoperative recovery and complications were also recorded.Patients’negative emotions, life hope, and nursing satisfaction were evaluated using the Self-rating Depression/Anxiety Scale(SDS/SAS),Herth Hope Index(HHI),and self-deve-loped nursing satisfaction questionnaire, respectively.RESULTS During emergence from anesthesia,SBP,DBP,and BPM levels were found to be lower in the research group than those in the control group, also serum Cor,AD,and NE levels were lower. In addition, the research group had shorter operative, awakening, anal exhaust, first postoperative ambulation, drainage tube removal, intestinal recovery, and hospital times. The total complication rate and the SDS and SAS scores were lower in the research group than those in the control group. The HHI and nursing satisfaction scores were higher in the research group.CONCLUSION Humanistic care-based operating room nursing can mitigate physiological stress responses, reduce postoperative complications, promote postoperative recovery, relieve adverse psychological emotions, and enhance life hope and nursing satisfaction in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma, which can be popularized in clinical practice.
文摘Dear Editor,Wei,Ming,Cheng,Bian,Ming,&Wei(2018)[1],state that specific communication problems were linked to 17.5%of all complaints, but in reality other categories, totalling 83.7%of all complaints, have a clear(verbal and non-verbal)communication component;uncaring attitudes(26.7%),unsatisfactory quality of treatment and competence(26.5%)and processes of care(13.0%).Highlighting this point are the examples given by patients in relation to complaints categorised as uncaring attitudes, included"displayed indifferent expressions, used unfriendly language tones, were impatient with patients'questions,or did not give thorough explanations when answering questions".The authors suggest theory-guided strategies to assist with nursing care.We advocate the need for this to be instilled in nursing education.Education providers for health professionals aim to improve communication skills through formal education[2-4].Wei et al.(2018)[1]state the Chinese curriculum for medicine focuses on science more than humane or caring qualities.Few education providers are able to effectively educate health professionals of the critical nature of communication for their future practice and work place requirements[5].
文摘Our aim was to understand the actual conditions of oral care for intubated patients by new nurses. As infection control measures have revealed the acute needs of care for intubated patients, it is important for nursing students to learn about oral care and attitudes towards intubated patients, along with methods to make intubated patients more comfortable.
文摘The purpose of this study was to clarify and consider the instruction that is needed in relation to nursing students’ handling of patient information, as felt by the people in charge of student clinical practicums in hospitals. The findings also suggest that instruction is needed with regard to the handling of sensitive information in accordance with the circumstances of individual patients.
文摘BACKGROUND Few relevant literature reports on applying acupoint press-needle embedding combined with emotional nursing in patients with a gynecological malignant tumor.AIM To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint needle embedding combined with emotional nursing on chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting(CINV),cancer-related fatigue(CRF)and psychological state in patients with gynecological malignant tumors.METHODS Retrospective analysis of the clinical information of 84 patients with gynecological malignant tumors treated in our hospital from August 2020 to December 2022 Led to the development of an observation group(n=42)and a control group(n=42)based on various nursing approaches.Ondansetron hydrochloride injection was administered to the individuals in the control group. However, the observation group received emotional nursing based on the control group and acupoint pressneedle embedding of traditional Chinese medicine.Patients in both groups received the chemotherapy regimen of paclitaxel liposome+carbo-platin/cisplatin.For four weeks, both groups intervened. The CINV grade, quality of life,CRF,psychological status and sleep quality scores of the two groups before and RESULTS After intervention, the degree of CINV in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group. After intervention, the scores of each dimension and total score of FLIE scale were significantly higher than those in the control group. After intervention, the scores of each dimension and total score of Piper Fatigue Scale were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of avoidance and yield dimensions in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the scores of confrontation dimension were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the sleep quality score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the Karnofsky Performance Status scale score was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The acupuncture point needle embedding of traditional Chinese medicine combined with emotional nursing can further reduce the incidence of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting in patients with gynecological malignant tumors, improve the quality of life and the degree of CRF,alleviate the bad psychological state, adopt a positive way to face the disease and treatment, and improve the quality of sleep and quality of life.
文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of dualperspective nursing intervention based on safety and comfort needs on the psychological status and safety quality of patients undergoing magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Methods:A total of 100 patients who received MRI in our hospital from October 2017 to December 2019 were selected and randomly divided into two groups,50 cases for each group.Routine nursing intervention was performed in the control group, and double-perspective nursing intervention based on safety and comfort needs in addition to routine nursing was performed in the observation group.Psychological status and examination of safety quality were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after intervention.Meanwhile, the scores of early treatment of dangerous conditions, implementation of safety measures, prevention of accidental injuries, communication of safety information, education of safety knowledge, standardized examination and awareness of self-safety management in the observation group were higher than those in the control group after intervention, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dual-perspective nursing intervention based on safety and comfort needs is effective for patients undergoing MRI examination, which can improve the psychological status of patients and improve the quality of examination safety.
文摘<strong>Objective:</strong> To investigate and analyze the current status of continuing nursing education (CNE) of in-service nurses in Tibet and their demand for continuing education. <strong>Methods:</strong> 663 active nurses in Tibet were taken as the research objects, and the self-developed questionnaire was used to investigate the current status and needs of CNE, and the correlation between the CNE needs of active nurses and their personal conditions was analyzed. <strong>Results:</strong> This study shows that 65.61% (435/663) of active nurses have not participated in any CNE, and 91.86% (609/663) of active nurses believe that they need to participate in CNE. It is recommended that hospitals and nursing management in Tibet should solve these problems faced by nurses in participating in CNE by implementing a flexible scheduling system, and providing funding or implementing an incentive system, to enhance the confidence of active nurses in participating in CNE.
