Web Based GIS for Tourism Development Using Effective Free and Open Source Software Case Study: Gondor Town and Its Surrounding Area, Ethiopia

Tourism in developing countries are some means of solving their economic problems and improving live standards of people and creates job opportunity for the host people in getting additional income and improve the developments of the country. The result of tourism in terms of environmental, cultural, economic and social aspects has a greater effect for Ethiopia. Gondar, the center of Ethiopian art and culture, is famous in its many Imperial castles and the design and decoration of its churches. This land of castles and churches was founded by Emperor Fasiladas in 1930s and served as tourist attraction sites all over the world. The main challenge to attract international tourists in the study area is Scarce and insufficient promotion of the tourist attraction sites, Lack of broad information based on the internet about tourism information, and lack of organized information about tourism facilities & destinations. This study tries to identify tourist attraction elements of Gondor town and its surrounding area & to identify non spatial data’s essential for touristic activities to develop & propose a web based GIS portal for the improvement of tourism activity in the town. The main target of developing a web based GIS interactive map is to promote and improve tourism industry of the area. It has been produced using free and open source software’s for fast processing, displaying, sharing, and distribution of tourism information using world wide web. For the web services PHP, HTML script language and QGIS2leaflet plugins are used in the development of web GIS portal.

Opening Moves Involved in Text-based Computer-Mediated-Communication (CMC) by Chinese Adults

The development of science and technology has made it not only possible but very convenient for people living in different parts of the world to communicate with each other, thus bringing forth a new form of communication: computer-mediated communication (CMC). Text-based CMC is one of the most popular forms of CMC in which people send instant messages to others in different settings. Since this mode of interaction combines features of both the written and spoken language (Greenfield & Subrahmanyam, 2003), it's of great interest whether it follows the same sequential rule as the telephone conversation. However, compared to telephone conversations, computer-mediated communication has received much less attention, let alone text-based CMC. The existing body of literature mostly focuses on content analysis and linguistic features but neglects the sequential organization of such interaction (Paolillo, 1999; Greenfield and Subrahmanyam, 2003; Herring, 1999). In light of this, this paper examines the opening moves of instant message exchanges among Chinese adults in an attempt to find out the unique features characterizing the way they open an online chat. The framework that was chosen for data analysis was the sequential model proposed by Schegloff for American telephone openings.

Knowledge-Based Multifaceted Modeling Methodology for Open Complex Giant Systems

In this paper, the structure characteristics of open complex giant systems are concretely analysed in depth, thus the view and its significance to support the meta synthesis engineering with manifold knowledge models are clarified. Furthermore, the knowledge based multifaceted modeling methodology for open complex giant systems is emphatically studied. The major points are as follows: (1) nonlinear mechanism and general information partition law; (2) from the symmetry and similarity to the acquisition of construction knowledge; (3) structures for hierarchical and nonhierarchical organizations; (4) the integration of manifold knowledge models; (5) the methodology of knowledge based multifaceted modeling.

通过SYBASE/Open Client接口调用存储过程

对SYBASE/OpenClient接口及其编程,做了简要介绍,并且采用面向对象的方法,分别在UNIX和WINDOWS平台上用C++实现通过SYBASE/OpenClient接口调用存储过程,已用于江苏“97工程”本地网延伸程序中。

Base Stress of the Opened Bottom Cylinder Structures

The base stress of the opened bottom cylinder structure differs greatly from that of the structure with a closed bottom. By investigating the inner soil pressure on the cylinder wall and the base stress of the cylinder base, which were obtained from the model experiments, the interactions among the filler inside the cylinder, subsoil and cylinder are analyzed. The adjusting mechanism of frictional resistance between the inner filler and the wall of the cylinder during the overturning of the cylinder is discussed. Based on the experimental study, a method for calculating the base stress of the opened bottom cylinder structure is proposed. Meanwhile, the formulas for calculating the effective anti-overturning ratio of the opened bottom cylinder are derived.

Research on the Diversified Mentoring Models for Open Base Engineering Graduates-A Case Study of Foshan

The key to guaranteeing the quality of engineering graduate cultivation lies in establishing a dual mentorship model,involving both,universities and enterprises.By analyzing the existing problems in dual mentorship for engineering graduates,the open base for joint graduate cultivation in Foshan is taken as an example.Under the“2+2”diversified mentoring model constructed for engineering practice cultivation,an open base guarantees the implementation of the diversified mentoring model,while the diversified mentoring model improves the effectiveness of collaborative education between universities and enterprises.Strengthening the qualification examination of collaborative education and reinforcing the academic ability training of enterprise mentors are proposed as strategies for the problems faced in the implementation.

Lanthanum heterocyclic Schiff-base complex initiated ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone

Lanthanum complex supported by the heterocyclic Schiff-base ligand of N-(2-pyridyl)-3,5-di-tert-butyl-salicylaldimine was prepared and employed for the ring-opening polymerization(ROP)ofε-caprolactone(ε-CL).The polymers obtained with this initiator showed a unimodal molecular weight distribution implied that only one active species was present.Mechanism study revealed that the polymerization proceeds via acyl-oxygen bond cleavage.

Influence of homodyne-based feedback control on the entropic uncertainty in open quantum system

For an open quantum system containing two qubits under homodyne-based feedback control, we investigate the dynamical behaviors of quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty.Moreover, we analyze the influence of feedback modes and coefficients on the entropic uncertainty.Numerical investigations show that the memory qubit should be placed in a non-dissipative channel if the single dissipative channel condition can be chosen, which helps reduce the entropic uncertainty of the system.For the homodyne feedback control F =λσx(or F =λσy), due to different roles of the entangled qubits A and B, when they are subject to feedback control with different feedback coefficients λ, the exchange of feedback coefficients will cause variations of the entropic uncertainty.When the feedback coefficient corresponding to the memory qubit B is larger(λB >λA), the steady value of the entropic uncertainty will be small, which is conducive to enhancing the robustness of the system.However, for the feedback control F =λσz, the difference between the feedback coefficients has no effect on the steady values of the entropic uncertainty.

Building a Web-based EFL Course with Open Source CMS in Vocational Colleges

Aiming to solve the existing problems with the Quality Course,an EFL online course is developed with an Open Source Course Management System(CMS).The principles and strategies of designing and constructing the course are discussed.The process of developing vocational college students'professional and social competence in the web-based environment is ex plored.Research results show the students are satisfied with the web-based EFL course and the teaching.

基于开放式校企合作平台的项目贯穿式教学模式研究

大数据对临床检验诊断专业研究生教学的影响

随着第二代测序技术的飞速发展,大数据逐渐应用于临床诊断,基因组学、宏基因组学、转录组学和蛋白质组学等先进技术为医学检验的发展提供了更高的技术平台和成长空间。检测数据的爆炸式增长、结果分析的复杂化均对临床检验诊断专业研究生的教学提出了严峻考验和挑战,如何提高创新思维和处理大数据的实践能力是临床检验诊断专业研究生需要尽快解决的问题。为培养高层次复合型人才,使学生紧跟时代发展的脚步,医学院校需要将生物信息学列入教学中。将以授课为基础的学习(lecture-based learning,LBL)、以案例为基础的学习(case-based learning,CBL)和大规模在线开放课程(massive open online course,MOOC)教学模式相结合,极大提高了学生对生物信息学的兴趣和利用大数据的能力。文章围绕大数据对临床检验诊断研究生教学的影响展开讨论。

基于PathSim的MOOCs知识概念推荐模型

大规模开放在线课程提供大规模开放式在线学习平台,为推进现代教育发挥关键作用。然而,减少用户学习盲区和改善用户体验方面的研究仍具有挑战性:交互数据稀疏;难以扩展到大型推荐任务上;用户需求不单由用户喜好决定,还受到不同教师、课程影响;以统一的方式对课程学习事件中不同类型实体及关系进行建模并不妥靠。基于此,引入相关性度量,依据全图结构信息计算各边权重,提出采用相关性度量算法PathSim进行邻域采样的知识概念推荐模型PathSimSage。各实体间相关性得分可在本地离线计算,将神经网络与传播过程分离,保证神经网络的堆叠层数和传播过程的独立性,大幅减少模型所需训练时间。在公开的MoocCube数据集上进行了综合实验,PathSimSage降低了不相关的信息甚至噪声的影响,解决随机游走采样所引发的高度节点偏差问题,并在一定程度上缓解了过平滑效应。

商业关联和政治关联对科技型中小企业成长的影响

企业社会关联可能是影响科技型中小企业成长的一个关键因素。而已有关于商业关联、政治关联与企业成长之间关系的研究在对新创企业以外其他不同类型企业情境下的实证研究相对匮乏,也缺乏对环境动态性这一重要情景变量在企业网络关系与企业成长中的作用研究,此外考虑商业关联和政治关联之间的互动关系及其对企业成长影响的研究也不足。因此,以开放式创新理论与资源依赖观为基础,探讨商业关联和政治关联对科技型中小企业成长的影响机制,以及环境动态性在其中的调节效应。通过对282份来自中国科技型中小企业的有效调查问卷数据进行回归分析,结果显示:商业关联显著正向影响科技型中小企业成长,但不具有倒“U”型关系,认为主要原因是商业关联为科技型中小企业所带来的资源效益仍然高于建立与维系商业关联的投入成本和互惠陷阱;而政治关联对科技型中小企业成长产生倒“U”型影响,适度的政治关联有助于促进科技型中小企业成长,而当政治关联的强度超过一定临界值后,科技型中小企业的资源可能会更多地被投入到发展其他能力等方面,从而对企业成长产生消极作用;商业关联与政治关联的交互作用负向影响科技型中小企业成长;环境动态性负向调节商业关联对科技型中小企业成长的正向影响,即环境动态性越高,商业关联对科技型中小企业成长的促进作用越弱。为此,科技型中小企业必须谨慎使用政治关联,平衡商业关联与政治关联的强度,有效整合两种外部社会关联所带来的资源。

PC-based开放式数控系统体系结构的研究

开放式数控系统的硬件系统应该建立在一种通用的、标准的硬件基础之上,而软件系统则应建立在分层次、模块化的软件基础之上。主要论述了一种基于Windows操作系统的"PC+运动控制卡"开放式数控系统的体系结构,包括开放式数控系统的多任务划分与并行处理机制,以及该系统的硬件组成和软件设计思想等。

开放的无线传感器网络平台OpenWSN

目前以Mica和TinyOS为代表的无线传感器网络研究平台具有几个突出的缺点:计算能力偏弱,不能充分利用现有产业界的遗留代码资源,硬件相关性太强不利于向其他平台移植.因此,针对上述弱点,提出了一种基于ARM7的开放传感器网络平台方案OpenWSN并实现之.该平台在硬件设计上采用总线架构增强可扩展性,在软件设计上采取层次化、对象化设计实现组件化和服务化的目标,并可方便地与现有代码资源实现集成,保护已有投资.OpenWSN硬件节点最高为60MHz的运行频率、32位处理器架构和DMA机制使得其性能更高,可更快地完成处理任务并有更多时间用于休眠以降低功耗.
