The detection system model is established and optimized by using COMSOL finite element simulation software. Furthermore, the theoretical analysis of the wire-breaking effect is carried out. The influence of factors on broken wire signal characteristics such as edge effect, circumferential relative position of the detector and broken wires, excitation frequency and relative permeability of steel wires is analyzed, which provides a theoretical guidance for the field detection. The influence of the steel cylinder structure on the simulation results is analyzed, which provides a reference for the improvement of calculation efficiency. The corresponding detection system is designed and implemented. Concretely,a high-voltage and high-power sinusoidal signal coil drive scheme based on sinusoidal pulse width modulation technology and an intelligent power module is innovatively proposed and the corresponding protection circuit is designed. The broken wire signal could be effectively extracted through a lock-in amplifier. The experimental results show that this system can effectively identify the broken wires with low cost.展开更多

The proposed lock-in amplifier, which uses the dual-channel orthometric signals as the references to build the xy coordinate system, can detect the relative phase between the input and x-axis based on trigonometric function. The sensitivity of the phase measurement reaches 0.014degree, and a detection precision of 0.1 degree is achieved. At the same time, the performance of the lock-in amplifier is verified in the high precision optical oxygen concentration detection. Experimental results reveal that the portable analog lock-in amplifier is accurate for phase detection applications. In the oxygen sensing experiments, 0.058% oxygen concentration resulted in 0.1 degree phase shift detected by the lock-in amplifier precisely. In addition, the lock-in amplifier is small and economical compared with the commercial lock-in equipments, so it can be easily integrated in many portable devices for industrial applications.展开更多

The developed RF transceiver operates in the 6 to 6.3 GHz band and the channel bandwidth is up to 100 MHz. It operates in the time division duplex (TDD) mode and supports the multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) technique for the international mobile telecommunications (IMT)-advanced systems. The classical superheterodyne scheme is employed to achieve optimal performance. Design issues of the essential components such as low noise amplifier, power amplifier and local oscillators are described in detail. Measurement results show that the maximum linear output power of the RF transceiver is above 23 dBm, and the gain and noise figure of the low noise amplifier is around 24 dB and below 1 dB, respectively. Furthermore, the error vector magnitude (EVM) measurement shows that the performance of the developed RF transceiver is well beyond the requirements of the long term evolution (LTE)-advanced system. With up to 8 x 8 MIMO configuration, the RF transceiver supports more than a 1 Gbit/s data rate in field tests.展开更多
