Improved Scatter Search Algorithm for Multi-skilled Personnel Scheduling of Ship Block Painting

This paper focuses on the optimization method for multi-skilled painting personnel scheduling.The budget working time analysis is carried out considering the influence of operating area,difficulty of spraying area,multi-skilled workers,and worker’s efficiency,then a mathematical model is established to minimize the completion time. The constraints of task priority,paint preparation,pump management,and neighbor avoidance in the ship block painting production are considered. Based on this model,an improved scatter search(ISS)algorithm is designed,and the hybrid approximate dynamic programming(ADP)algorithm is used to improve search efficiency. In addition,the two solution combination methods of path-relinking and task sequence combination are used to enhance the search breadth and depth. The numerical experimental results show that ISS has a significant advantage in solving efficiency compared with the solver in small scale instances;Compared with the scatter search algorithm and genetic algorithm,ISS can stably improve the solution quality. Verified by the production example,ISS effectively shortens the total completion time of the production,which is suitable for scheduling problems in the actual painting production of the shipyard. 展开更多

The theory of“imitation”in painting occupies a leading position in western art,which originated from the theory of“imitation”in ancient Greece,and has become one of the art theories affecting the world through the continuous development of later generations.Through the exploration of the source of“imitation”in China and the West,there are some comments on the meaning of“imitation”in Chinese classical painting theory,such as“transfer model writing”and“image form”,which is obvious differences from the west.Traditional Chinese painting is a combination of careful observation of natural things and subjective emotions to express their own aesthetic feelings,and ultimately form a vivid artistic conception.Modern imitation is borrowed from Western imitation.In fact,imitation in traditional painting has its own meaning,which contains Chinese aesthetic thought.“Imitation”aesthetics is unique in traditional Chinese painting and is the most important form of painting art. 展开更多

APST-Flow: A Reversible Network-Based Artistic Painting Style Transfer Method

In recent years,deep generative models have been successfully applied to perform artistic painting style transfer(APST).The difficulties might lie in the loss of reconstructing spatial details and the inefficiency of model convergence caused by the irreversible en-decoder methodology of the existing models.Aiming to this,this paper proposes a Flow-based architecture with both the en-decoder sharing a reversible network configuration.The proposed APST-Flow can efficiently reduce model uncertainty via a compact analysis-synthesis methodology,thereby the generalization performance and the convergence stability are improved.For the generator,a Flow-based network using Wavelet additive coupling(WAC)layers is implemented to extract multi-scale content features.Also,a style checker is used to enhance the global style consistency by minimizing the error between the reconstructed and the input images.To enhance the generated salient details,a loss of adaptive stroke edge is applied in both the global and local model training.The experimental results show that the proposed method improves PSNR by 5%,SSIM by 6.2%,and decreases Style Error by 29.4%over the existing models on the ChipPhi set.The competitive results verify that APST-Flow achieves high-quality generation with less content deviation and enhanced generalization,thereby can be further applied to more APST scenes. 展开更多

This paper focuses on Chinese sources suggested for a narrative medicine(NM)program,called AfterWards.Dr Lauren Small established AfterWards in 2014 and has been coordinating it since out of the Pediatrics Department at Johns Hopkins Medicine.In early 2019,she started giving a series of lectures and workshops about AfterWards to Chinese medical educators and clinicians in Beijing and Shanghai.She created an AfterWards Facilitator’s Guide based on Western-language sources for workshop participants.She also started to organize with Jiang Yuhong(Peking Union Medical College)a workshop for Chinese colleagues to be held at Johns Hopkins Medicine in October 2019.They invited the author to participate.The idea was hatched then to develop Chinese source materials following the AfterWards structure for an updated Facilitator’s Guide that Dr Small had initially written.A typical one-hour AfterWards session consists of a specific five-part structure:a literary text or artwork,an associated theme,discussion topics,a writing exercise,and shared reflection.While the content of the program always changes from session to session,the basic structure remains the same.This paper summarizes the types of Chinese sources and their related narrative-medicine themes that were originally selected for inclusion in the updated AfterWards Facilitator’s Guide intended for Chinese colleagues.These sources about coping with sick family members,aging,and illness ranged from the textual(classical Chinese poems on aging and diagnostic forms for training students)and visual(premodern Chinese paintings and murals of medical encounters)to the fictive(novels)and performative(contemporary Asian-American film in English and Chinese-language film and documentaries). 展开更多

Peasant painting is a kind of painting created by farmers as creative subject,bearing rich significance.According to the historical development of peasant painting in reality,the types of meaning it carried could be divided into three types in chronological order:political ideological significance,folk life significance,and creative fashion significance.These three types of meaning gave rise to three types of aesthetic utopia,namely political aesthetic utopia,folk aesthetic utopia and fashion aesthetic utopia.The three types of aesthetic utopia reflected three forms of negation and revolution of daily life.What the political aesthetic utopia resisted was the alienation force of material desire.What folk aesthetic utopia resisted was the desire for material and the binding of political ideology.The fashion aesthetic utopia opposed the relatively narrow localism.Through these three forms of resistance,the public also constructed three identities:the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of political ideology,the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of real life from perspective of local feelings,and the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of real life from perspective of the relationship between themselves and the world. 展开更多

The primary objective of this study is to apply the Evaluation Grid Method(EGM)and the continuous fuzzy Kano quality model to explore the cognitive preferences of Taiwan China residents regarding the beauty of Taiwan’s China landscape paintings.The aim is to contribute to the development of social and cultural art and promote the widespread appeal of art products.Through a literature review,consultations with aesthetic experts,and the application of Miryoku Engineering’s EGM,this paper consolidates the factors that contribute to the attractiveness of painting art products among Taiwan China residents,taking into account various aesthetic qualities.Simultaneously,the paper introduces the use of the triangular fuzzy golden ratio scale semantics,specifically the equal-ratio aesthetic scale semantics,as a replacement for the traditional subjective consciousness model.Departing from the traditional discrete Kano model that employs the mode as the standard for evaluating quality,this study applies triangular fuzzy numbers to the continuous Kano quality model to analyze the diverse preferences and evaluation standards of the public.The hope is that this research methodology will not only deepen Taiwan China residents’understanding and aesthetic literacy of painting art but also serve as a reference for the popularization of art products. 展开更多

It is an important task to communicate Chinese culture with other countries in the more conflicting global world.Lijiang Painting School plays a very important part in Chinese art,and it greatly influences the painters of various periods in China.In this context,some representative paintings of Lijiang Painting School in different periods were collected in this paper as the research objects.The rewriting theory was applied in the study because Chinese readers and English readers have different cultural backgrounds and diverse thinking.Based on the rewriting theory,these representative paintings were translated and the explained in English.In the study,it is found that as an intersemiotic translation,the translation of the representative paintings of Lijiang Painting School should be focused on those target readers who can’t comprehend directly from the paintings.In addition,the artistic integrity should be considered first before details in paintings.Therefore,the overall perception of target readers gaining from the translations should be paid more attention to rather than metaphrase.The translation under the guidance of rewriting theory will be helpful for the target readers to understand the connotation of source culture with some cultural images of target readers. 展开更多

基于寡核苷酸探针套painting的染色体鉴定技术简单、经济和高效,可以促进小麦品种及亲缘物种染色体识别和变异体鉴定,提高染色体工程效率。我们前期开发了寡核苷酸探针套,包含p As1-1、p As1-3、AFA-4、(GAA)10和p Sc119.2-1共5个探针... 基于寡核苷酸探针套painting的染色体鉴定技术简单、经济和高效,可以促进小麦品种及亲缘物种染色体识别和变异体鉴定,提高染色体工程效率。我们前期开发了寡核苷酸探针套,包含p As1-1、p As1-3、AFA-4、(GAA)10和p Sc119.2-1共5个探针。本研究通过一次荧光原位杂交(FISH),对源于17个非整倍体的18份材料分析发现,其中14个染色体组成正确,可以清晰识别相应的缺体、四体和端体。还构建了基于寡核苷酸探针套涂染的、能准确识别3个基因组和7个部分同源群染色体的高清核型,发现4个非整倍体发生变异,其中从N5BT5D中鉴定出一个可能的小片段相互易位系T6AS·6AL-6DL和T6DS·6DL-6AL。进一步对7个地方品种、10个栽培品种(系)和1个人工合成小麦分析,发现15条染色体存在多态性,涉及6条B组(除4B)、5条A组(除1A和3A)和4条D组(1D、2D、4D和7D)染色体,可以清晰识别我国小麦生产上广泛应用的3种易位类型(T1RS·1BL、T6VS·6AL及相互易位T1RS·7DL和T7DS·1BL),省去了基因组原位杂交(GISH)程序。另外,对5个亲缘物种分析发现,该探针套可以识别栽培一粒小麦、硬粒小麦Langdon、荆州黑麦、长穗偃麦草(2n=2x=14)全部和中间偃麦草30条染色体,并构建了这5个物种的核型。本研究结果证实该寡核苷酸探针套可以有效用于小麦及亲缘物种染色体鉴定,高清晰的中国春非整倍体核型为小麦染色体工程提供了参考标准。 展开更多

method,which is concerned with the relationships of light and shadow as well as brightness and darkness.Chinese painting includes brush painting and ink painting;there is a special painting method that is known as“boneless painting.”This technique involves painting directly with color without outlining,and it is between brush painting and freehand brushwork.Both,boneless painting and watercolor painting are rich in color expression,and their techniques have many similarities in expressing the relationship between man and nature as well as the inner feelings of the painter.Watercolor painting was introduced to China from the West at the end of the 19th century,and it soon became a popular type of painting.The technique of brush painting in boneless painting has a history of several thousand years,from the Warring States period to the Song Dynasty.It pursues the shape of modeling and focuses on realism.Boneless painting,on the other hand,is mainly concerned with flowers and birds,between brush painting and painting with a sense of style,without outlining,directly painting flowers and leaves with colors or ink.They are both painted with brushes on paper,and they use water as a medium to mix pigments.The wet and dry intensity of watercolor painting as well as the interplay of ink and colors in Chinese painting have both developed their own unique charms.The two different types of painting represent the cultural epitomes of two different nationalities.In contemporary times,the techniques of watercolor painting and Chinese painting can be learned from each <span class="">This paper focuses on the optimization method for multi-skilled painting personnel scheduling.The budget working time analysis is carried out considering the influence of operating area,difficulty of spraying area,multi-skilled workers,and worker’s efficiency,then a mathematical model is established to minimize the completion time. The constraints of task priority,paint preparation,pump management,and neighbor avoidance in the ship block painting production are considered. Based on this model,an improved scatter search(ISS)algorithm is designed,and the hybrid approximate dynamic programming(ADP)algorithm is used to improve search efficiency. In addition,the two solution combination methods of path-relinking and task sequence combination are used to enhance the search breadth and depth. The numerical experimental results show that ISS has a significant advantage in solving efficiency compared with the solver in small scale instances;Compared with the scatter search algorithm and genetic algorithm,ISS can stably improve the solution quality. Verified by the production example,ISS effectively shortens the total completion time of the production,which is suitable for scheduling problems in the actual painting production of the recent years,deep generative models have been successfully applied to perform artistic painting style transfer(APST).The difficulties might lie in the loss of reconstructing spatial details and the inefficiency of model convergence caused by the irreversible en-decoder methodology of the existing models.Aiming to this,this paper proposes a Flow-based architecture with both the en-decoder sharing a reversible network configuration.The proposed APST-Flow can efficiently reduce model uncertainty via a compact analysis-synthesis methodology,thereby the generalization performance and the convergence stability are improved.For the generator,a Flow-based network using Wavelet additive coupling(WAC)layers is implemented to extract multi-scale content features.Also,a style checker is used to enhance the global style consistency by minimizing the error between the reconstructed and the input images.To enhance the generated salient details,a loss of adaptive stroke edge is applied in both the global and local model training.The experimental results show that the proposed method improves PSNR by 5%,SSIM by 6.2%,and decreases Style Error by 29.4%over the existing models on the ChipPhi set.The competitive results verify that APST-Flow achieves high-quality generation with less content deviation and enhanced generalization,thereby can be further applied to more APST Western-language sources for workshop participants.She also started to organize with Jiang Yuhong(Peking Union Medical College)a workshop for Chinese colleagues to be held at Johns Hopkins Medicine in October 2019.They invited the author to participate.The idea was hatched then to develop Chinese source materials following the AfterWards structure for an updated Facilitator’s Guide that Dr Small had initially written.A typical one-hour AfterWards session consists of a specific five-part structure:a literary text or artwork,an associated theme,discussion topics,a writing exercise,and shared reflection.While the content of the program always changes from session to session,the basic structure remains the same.This paper summarizes the types of Chinese sources and their related narrative-medicine themes that were originally selected for inclusion in the updated AfterWards Facilitator’s Guide intended for Chinese colleagues.These sources about coping with sick family utopia,folk aesthetic utopia and fashion aesthetic utopia.The three types of aesthetic utopia reflected three forms of negation and revolution of daily life.What the political aesthetic utopia resisted was the alienation force of material desire.What folk aesthetic utopia resisted was the desire for material and the binding of political ideology.The fashion aesthetic utopia opposed the more conflicting global world.Lijiang Painting School plays a very important part in Chinese art,and it greatly influences the painters of various periods in China.In this context,some representative paintings of Lijiang Painting School in different periods were collected in this paper as the research objects.The rewriting theory was applied in the study because Chinese readers and English readers have different cultural backgrounds and diverse thinking.Based on the rewriting theory,these representative paintings were translated and the explained in English.In the study,it is found that as an intersemiotic translation,the translation of the representative paintings of Lijiang Painting School should be focused on those target readers who can’t comprehend directly from the paintings.In addition,the artistic integrity should be considered first before details in paintings.Therefore,the overall perception of target readers gaining from the translations should be paid more attention to rather than metaphrase.The translation under the guidance of rewriting theory will be helpful for the target readers to understand the connotation of source culture with some cultural images of target class="abstract"> <span class="">基于寡核苷酸探针套painting的染色体鉴定技术简单、经济和高效,可以促进小麦品种及亲缘物种染色体识别和变异体鉴定,提高染色体工程效率。我们前期开发了寡核苷酸探针套,包含p As1-1、p As1-3、AFA-4、(GAA)10和p Sc119.2-1共5个探针。本研究通过一次荧光原位杂交(FISH),对源于17个非整倍体的18份材料分析发现,其中14个染色体组成正确,可以清晰识别相应的缺体、四体和端体。还构建了基于寡核苷酸探针套涂染的、能准确识别3个基因组和7个部分同源群染色体的高清核型,发现4个非整倍体发生变异,其中从N5BT5D中鉴定出一个可能的小片段相互易位系T6AS·6AL-6DL和T6DS·6DL-6AL。进一步对7个地方品种、10个栽培品种(系)和1个人工合成小麦分析,发现15条染色体存在多态性,涉及6条B组(除4B)、5条A组(除1A和3A)和4条D组(1D、2D、4D和7D)染色体,可以清晰识别我国小麦生产上广泛应用的3种易位类型(T1RS·1BL、T6VS·6AL及相互易位T1RS·7DL和T7DS·1BL),省去了基因组原位杂交(GISH)程序。另外,对5个亲缘物种分析发现,该探针套可以识别栽培一粒小麦、硬粒小麦Langdon、荆州黑麦、长穗偃麦草(2n=2x=14)全部和中间偃麦草30条染色体,并构建了这5个物种的核型。本研究结果证实该寡核苷酸探针套可以有效用于小麦及亲缘物种染色体鉴定,高清晰的中国春非整倍体核型为小麦染色体工程提供了参考标准。</span> with the relationships of light and shadow as well as brightness and darkness.Chinese painting includes brush painting and ink painting;there is a special painting method that is known as“boneless painting.”This technique involves painting directly with color without outlining,and it is between brush painting and freehand brushwork.Both,boneless painting and watercolor painting are rich in color expression,and their techniques have many similarities in expressing the relationship between man and nature as well as the inner feelings of the painter.Watercolor painting was introduced to China from the West at the end of the 19th century,and it soon became a popular type of painting.The technique of brush painting in boneless painting has a history of several thousand years,from the Warring States period to the Song Dynasty.It pursues the shape of modeling and focuses on realism.Boneless painting,on the other hand,is mainly concerned with flowers and birds,between brush painting and painting with a sense of style,without outlining,directly painting flowers and leaves with colors or ink.They are both painted with brushes on paper,and they use water as a medium to mix pigments.The wet and dry intensity of watercolor painting as well as the interplay of ink and colors in Chinese painting have both developed their own unique charms.The two different types of painting represent the cultural epitomes of two different nationalities.In contemporary times,the techniques of watercolor painting and Chinese painting can be learned from each other.This paper explores the
