Accurate automatic segmentation of gliomas in various sub-regions,including peritumoral edema,necrotic core,and enhancing and non-enhancing tumor core from 3D multimodal MRI images,is challenging because of its highly...Accurate automatic segmentation of gliomas in various sub-regions,including peritumoral edema,necrotic core,and enhancing and non-enhancing tumor core from 3D multimodal MRI images,is challenging because of its highly heterogeneous appearance and shape.Deep convolution neural networks(CNNs)have recently improved glioma segmentation performance.However,extensive down-sampling such as pooling or stridden convolution in CNNs significantly decreases the initial image resolution,resulting in the loss of accurate spatial and object parts information,especially information on the small sub-region tumors,affecting segmentation performance.Hence,this paper proposes a novel multi-level parallel network comprising three different level parallel subnetworks to fully use low-level,mid-level,and high-level information and improve the performance of brain tumor segmentation.We also introduce the Combo loss function to address input class imbalance and false positives and negatives imbalance in deep learning.The proposed method is trained and validated on the BraTS 2020 training and validation dataset.On the validation dataset,ourmethod achieved a mean Dice score of 0.907,0.830,and 0.787 for the whole tumor,tumor core,and enhancing tumor core,respectively.Compared with state-of-the-art methods,the multi-level parallel network has achieved competitive results on the validation dataset.展开更多

In the environmentofVSN, massive private data generated by vehicles are transmitted in open channels and used by other vehicle users,so it is crucial to maintain high transmission efficiency and high confidentiality of data. To deal with this problem, inthis paper, we propose a heterogeneous fault-tolerant aggregate signcryption scheme with an equality test (HFTASET).The scheme combines fault-tolerant and aggregate signcryption,whichnot onlymakes up for the deficiency oflow security of aggregate signature, but alsomakes up for the deficiency that aggregate signcryption cannot tolerateinvalid signature. The scheme supports one verification pass when all signcryptions are valid, and it supportsunbounded aggregation when the total number of signcryptions grows dynamically. In addition, this schemesupports heterogeneous equality test, and realizes the access control of private data in different cryptographicenvironments, so as to achieve flexibility in the application of our scheme and realize the function of quick searchof plaintext or ciphertext. Then, the security of HFTAS-ET is demonstrated by strict theoretical analysis. A method of fault-tolerant control of networked control system is presented, which takes into account system response as well as network traffic. The integrity design for a kind of NCS with sensor failures and actuator failures is analyzed based on robust fault-tolerant control theory and information scheduling. Considering the packet d...The problem of guaranteed cost active fault-tolerant controller (AFTC) design for networked control systems (NCSs) with both packet dropout and transmission delay is studied in this paper. Considering the packet dropout and transmission delay, a piecewise constant controller is adopted. With a guaranteed cost function, optimal controllers whose number is equal to the number of actuators are designed, and the design process is formulated as a convex optimal problem that can be solved by existing software. The control strategy is proposed as follows: when actuator failures appear, the fault detection and isolation unit sends out the information to the controller choosing strategy, and then the optimal stabilizing controller with the smallest guaranteed cost value is chosen. Two illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. By comparing with the existing methods, it can be seen that our method has a better performance.展开更多

The fault parameters were designed to detect the fault, adaptive updating method was introduced to estimate and track fault, and fuzzy neural networks were used to adjust the fault parameters and construct automated fault diagnosis. And the fault compeusation control force, which was given by fault estimation, was used to realize adaptive fault-tolerant control. This framework leaded to a simple structure, an accurate detection, and a high robusmess. The simulation results in induction motor show that it is still able to work well with high dynamic performance and control precision under the condition of motor parameters' variation fault and load torque disturbance.展开更多

Compared with other related schemes, Isotope’s average locating path length is only half that of Chord, and its locating performance and locality-awareness are similar to that of Pastry and Tapestry. The main idea is using hierarchical fuzzy soft clusters enabling non-exclusive overlapping clusters, thus allowing partial multiple membership of a node to more than one cluster, whereby for each cluster the clusterhead (CH) takes in charge intra-cluster issues of aggregating the information from nodes members, and then collaborate and coordinate with its related overlapping area heads (OAHs), which are elected heuristically to ensure inter-clusters communication. This communication is implemented using an extended version of time-division multiple access (TDMA) allowing the allocation of several slots for a given node, and alternating the role of the clusterhead and its associated overlapping area heads. Each cluster head relays information to overlapping area heads which in turn each relays it to other associated cluster heads in related clusters, thus the information propagates gradually until it reaches the sink in a multi-hop fashion.展开更多

Firstly, a novel Lyapunov criterion of practical predefined-time stability is established. Following the proposed criterion, a tangent function based nonsingular predefined-time sliding manifold and the control strategy are developed. Secondly, the radial basis function NN with a low-complexity adaptation mechanism is incorporated into the controller to tackle the actuator faults and uncertainties. Thirdly, rigorous theoretical proof reveals that the attitude tracking errors can converge to a small region around the origin within a predefined time, while all signals in the closed-loop system remain bounded. Finally, numerical simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness and improved performance of the proposed control scheme.展开更多
Training deep neural networks(DNNs)requires a significant amount of time and resources to obtain acceptable results,which severely limits its deployment in resource-limited platforms.This paper proposes DarkFPGA,a nov...Training deep neural networks(DNNs)requires a significant amount of time and resources to obtain acceptable results,which severely limits its deployment in resource-limited platforms.This paper proposes DarkFPGA,a novel customizable framework to efficiently accelerate the entire DNN training on a single FPGA platform.First,we explore batch-level parallelism to enable efficient FPGA-based DNN training.Second,we devise a novel hardware architecture optimised by a batch-oriented data pattern and tiling techniques to effectively exploit parallelism.Moreover,an analytical model is developed to determine the optimal design parameters for the DarkFPGA accelerator with respect to a specific network specification and FPGA resource constraints.Our results show that the accelerator is able to perform about 10 times faster than CPU training and about a third of the energy consumption than GPU training using 8-bit integers for training VGG-like networks on the CIFAR dataset for the Maxeler MAX5 platform.展开更多

It consists of a real-time part, a self-learning part and a desired-state programmer, and i...A parallel neural network-based controller (PNNC) is presented for the motion control of underwater vehicles in this paper. It consists of a real-time part, a self-learning part and a desired-state programmer, and it is different from normal adaptive neural network controller in structure. Owing to the introduction of the self-learning part, on-line learning can be performed without sample data in several sample periods, resulting in high learning speed of the controller and good control performance. The desired-state programmer is utilized to obtain better learning samples of the neural network to keep the stability of the controller. The developed controller is applied to the 4-degree of freedom control of the AUV “IUV- IV” and is successful on the simulation platform. The control performance is also compared with that of neural network controller with different structures such as normal adaptive neural network and different learning methods. Current effects and surge velocity control are also included to demonstrate the controller' s performance. It is shown that the PNNC has a great possibility to solve the problems in the control system design of underwater vehicles.展开更多

The forward BP neural network can adjust the parameters of PID controller in real time. The preview time is optimized by considering path curvature, change in curvature and road boundaries. A fuzzy controller considering barriers and different road conditions is built to select the starting po- sition. In addition, a kind of path planning technology satisfying the requirement of obstacle avoidance is introduced. In order to solve the problem of discontinuous curvature, cubic B spline curve is used for curve fitting. With this algorithm, the robustness is guaranteed by the adaptive control law and the parametric uncertainties are eliminated. FNNA is used to handle model uncertainties and external disturbances. In the proposed control scheme, we consider modifying the weight of fuzzy rules and present these rules to a MIMO system of parallel manipulators with more than three degrees-of-freedom (DoF). The algorithm has the advantage of not requiring the inverse of the Jacobian matrix especially for the low DoF parallel manipulators. The validity of the control scheme is shown through numerical simulations of a 6-RPS parallel manipulator with three DoF.展开更多

文摘To efficiently complete a complex computation task,the complex task should be decomposed into subcomputation tasks that run parallel in edge computing.Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a typical application of parallel computation.To achieve highly reliable parallel computation for wireless sensor network,the network's lifetime needs to be extended.Therefore,a proper task allocation strategy is needed to reduce the energy consumption and balance the load of the network.This paper proposes a task model and a cluster-based WSN model in edge computing.In our model,different tasks require different types of resources and different sensors provide different types of resources,so our model is heterogeneous,which makes the model more practical.Then we propose a task allocation algorithm that combines the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and the Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)algorithm.The algorithm concentrates on energy conservation and load balancing so that the lifetime of the network can be extended.The experimental result shows the algorithm's effectiveness and advantages in energy conservation and load balancing.

文摘Suspicious mass traffic constantly evolves,making network behaviour tracing and structure more complex.Neural networks yield promising results by considering a sufficient number of processing elements with strong interconnections between them.They offer efficient computational Hopfield neural networks models and optimization constraints used by undergoing a good amount of parallelism to yield optimal results.Artificial neural network(ANN)offers optimal solutions in classifying and clustering the various reels of data,and the results obtained purely depend on identifying a problem.In this research work,the design of optimized applications is presented in an organized manner.In addition,this research work examines theoretical approaches to achieving optimized results using ANN.It mainly focuses on designing rules.The optimizing design approach of neural networks analyzes the internal process of the neural networks.Practices in developing the network are based on the interconnections among the hidden nodes and their learning parameters.The methodology is proven best for nonlinear resource allocation problems with a suitable design and complex issues.The ANN proposed here considers more or less 46k nodes hidden inside 49 million connections employed on full-fledged parallel processors.The proposed ANN offered optimal results in real-world application problems,and the results were obtained using MATLAB.

文摘Due to its great potentisl value in theory and application, fault-tolerant control atrategies of nonlinear systems, especially combining with intelligent control methods, have been a focus in the academe. A fault-tolerant control method based on fuzzy neural networks was presented for nonlinear systems in this paper. The fault parameters were designed to detect the fault, adaptive updating method was introduced to estimate and track fault, and fuzzy neural networks were used to adjust the fault parameters and construct automated fault diagnosis. And the fault compeusation control force, which was given by fault estimation, was used to realize adaptive fault-tolerant control. This framework leaded to a simple structure, an accurate detection, and a high robusmess. The simulation results in induction motor show that it is still able to work well with high dynamic performance and control precision under the condition of motor parameters' variation fault and load torque disturbance.
文摘A distribution network plays an extremely important role in the safe and efficient operation of a power grid.As the core part of a power grid’s operation,a distribution network will have a significant impact on the safety and reliability of residential electricity consumption.it is necessary to actively plan and modify the distribution network’s structure in the power grid,improve the quality of the distribution network,and optimize the planning of the distribution network,so that the network can be fully utilized to meet the needs of electricity consumption.In this paper,a distribution network grid planning algorithm based on the reliability of electricity consumption was completed using ant colony algorithm.For the distribution network structure planning of dual power sources,the parallel ant colony algorithm was used to prove that the premise of parallelism is the interactive process of ant colonies,and the dual power distribution network structure model is established based on the principle of the lowest cost.The artificial ants in the algorithm were compared with real ants in nature,and the basic steps and working principle of the ant colony optimization algorithm was studied with the help of the travelling salesman problem(TSP).Then,the limitations of the ant colony algorithm were analyzed,and an improvement strategy was proposed by using python for digital simulation.The results demonstrated the reliability of model-building and algorithm improvement.
文摘Average (mean) voter is one of the commonest voting methods suitable for decision making in highly-available and long-missions applications where the availability and the speed of the system are critical.In this paper,a new generation of average voter based on parallel algorithms and parallel random access machine(PRAM) structure are proposed.The analysis shows that this algorithm is optimal due to its improved time complexity,speed-up,and efficiency and is especially appropriate for applications where the size of input space is large.

文摘This paper presents Isotope, an efficient, locality aware, fault-tolerant, and decentralized scheme for data location in distributed networks. This scheme is designed based on the mathematical model of decentralized location services and thus has provable correctness and performance. In Isotope, each node needs to only maintain linkage information with about O(log n) other nodes and any node can be reached within O(log n) routing hops. Compared with other related schemes, Isotope’s average locating path length is only half that of Chord, and its locating performance and locality-awareness are similar to that of Pastry and Tapestry. In addition, Isotope is more suitable for constantly changing networks because it needs to exchange only O(log n) O(log n) messages to update the routing information for nodes arrival, departure and failure.
文摘This paper describes a novel energy-aware multi-hop cluster-based fault-tolerant load balancing hierarchical routing protocol for a self-organizing wireless sensor network (WSN), which takes into account the broadcast nature of radio. The main idea is using hierarchical fuzzy soft clusters enabling non-exclusive overlapping clusters, thus allowing partial multiple membership of a node to more than one cluster, whereby for each cluster the clusterhead (CH) takes in charge intra-cluster issues of aggregating the information from nodes members, and then collaborate and coordinate with its related overlapping area heads (OAHs), which are elected heuristically to ensure inter-clusters communication. This communication is implemented using an extended version of time-division multiple access (TDMA) allowing the allocation of several slots for a given node, and alternating the role of the clusterhead and its associated overlapping area heads. Each cluster head relays information to overlapping area heads which in turn each relays it to other associated cluster heads in related clusters, thus the information propagates gradually until it reaches the sink in a multi-hop fashion.

A modified parallel algorithm for fault-tolerant diagnostic tests construction is proposed. The algorithm is allowed to optimize processing time on tests construction. A matrix model of data and knowledge representation, as well as various kinds of regularities in data and knowledge are presented. Applied intelligent system for diagnostic of mental health of population which is developed with the use of intelligent system for parallel fault-tolerant DTs construction is suggested.

文摘This paper develops a novel Neural Network(NN)-based adaptive nonsingular practical predefined-time controller for the hypersonic morphing aircraft subject to actuator faults. Firstly, a novel Lyapunov criterion of practical predefined-time stability is established. Following the proposed criterion, a tangent function based nonsingular predefined-time sliding manifold and the control strategy are developed. Secondly, the radial basis function NN with a low-complexity adaptation mechanism is incorporated into the controller to tackle the actuator faults and uncertainties. Thirdly, rigorous theoretical proof reveals that the attitude tracking errors can converge to a small region around the origin within a predefined time, while all signals in the closed-loop system remain bounded. Finally, numerical simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness and improved performance of the proposed control scheme.
文摘Training deep neural networks(DNNs)requires a significant amount of time and resources to obtain acceptable results,which severely limits its deployment in resource-limited platforms.This paper proposes DarkFPGA,a novel customizable framework to efficiently accelerate the entire DNN training on a single FPGA platform.First,we explore batch-level parallelism to enable efficient FPGA-based DNN training.Second,we devise a novel hardware architecture optimised by a batch-oriented data pattern and tiling techniques to effectively exploit parallelism.Moreover,an analytical model is developed to determine the optimal design parameters for the DarkFPGA accelerator with respect to a specific network specification and FPGA resource constraints.Our results show that the accelerator is able to perform about 10 times faster than CPU training and about a third of the energy consumption than GPU training using 8-bit integers for training VGG-like networks on the CIFAR dataset for the Maxeler MAX5 platform.
文摘A parallel neural network-based controller (PNNC) is presented for the motion control of underwater vehicles in this paper. It consists of a real-time part, a self-learning part and a desired-state programmer, and it is different from normal adaptive neural network controller in structure. Owing to the introduction of the self-learning part, on-line learning can be performed without sample data in several sample periods, resulting in high learning speed of the controller and good control performance. The desired-state programmer is utilized to obtain better learning samples of the neural network to keep the stability of the controller. The developed controller is applied to the 4-degree of freedom control of the AUV “IUV- IV” and is successful on the simulation platform. The control performance is also compared with that of neural network controller with different structures such as normal adaptive neural network and different learning methods. Current effects and surge velocity control are also included to demonstrate the controller' s performance. It is shown that the PNNC has a great possibility to solve the problems in the control system design of underwater vehicles.

文摘In order to diminish the impacts of extemal disturbance such as parking speed fluctuation and model un- certainty existing in steering kinematics, this paper presents a parallel path tracking method for vehicle based on pre- view back propagation (BP) neural network PID controller. The forward BP neural network can adjust the parameters of PID controller in real time. The preview time is optimized by considering path curvature, change in curvature and road boundaries. A fuzzy controller considering barriers and different road conditions is built to select the starting po- sition. In addition, a kind of path planning technology satisfying the requirement of obstacle avoidance is introduced. In order to solve the problem of discontinuous curvature, cubic B spline curve is used for curve fitting. The simulation results and real vehicle tests validate the effectiveness of the proposed path planning and tracking methods.

文摘This paper considers adaptive control of parallel manipulators combined with fuzzy-neural network algorithms (FNNA). With this algorithm, the robustness is guaranteed by the adaptive control law and the parametric uncertainties are eliminated. FNNA is used to handle model uncertainties and external disturbances. In the proposed control scheme, we consider modifying the weight of fuzzy rules and present these rules to a MIMO system of parallel manipulators with more than three degrees-of-freedom (DoF). The algorithm has the advantage of not requiring the inverse of the Jacobian matrix especially for the low DoF parallel manipulators. The validity of the control scheme is shown through numerical simulations of a 6-RPS parallel manipulator with three DoF.
