The Faculty of Lifelong Learning at South East Technological University’s Carlow campus is one of the largest providers of part-time,adult learning in the Irish HE sector.Therefore,the perspectives of our part-time learners offer us valuable insights into adult learner experiences in the Irish HE sector.The outbreak of Covid 19 saw us pivot our provision to an emergency remote teaching(ERT)model in the first wave of the epidemic.The faculty undertook an extensive study of its learners in 2021 to examine the impacts of ERT on learners,and this article takes a qualitative approach to the findings of this study,looking specifically at learners’comments about success,and the barriers to success,which ERT posed.Our study provided an opportunity to learn about our learners’conceptions of student identity,and how they interpret success as part-time learners. 展开更多

This paper analyzes and summarizes the results achieved and the main problems,and puts forth the corresponding recommendations. The online education market is expanding both globally and locally;Arab countries are paying special attention to the growth of this sector. Reports showed that the e-learning market arrived at $27.1 billion in the year 2009 and is expected to surpass $49.6 billion by the year 2014. This paper presents and surveys the perception of students and instructors regarding mobile learning and mobile examination system in some Arab countries. Many universities in the Arab world are under progress in the implementation of this new technology and many have already implemented it. Strong tools are required to improve e-learning system of education. This research supports the transition of education from conventional methods to m-learning and m-exam systems. The purpose of this research is to study the perception of both instructors and students regarding mobile learning and mobile examination systems. The introduction of such systems to the educational process requires people involved to have basic technical skills and to be aware of the benefits of such systems. Results showed different perspectives from three countries;also showed that online examination systems could be very helpful, but many factors should be considered and they should be implemented carefully to guarantee the successful adoption, fairness and reliability. 展开更多

Part-Time Nurse Faculty Intent to Remain Employed in Academia: A Cross-Sectional Study

A total of 282 part-time nurse facu... The purpose of this study was to test and refine a model of part-time nurse faculty intent to remain employed in the academic organization. Cross-sectional survey methods were used. A total of 282 part-time nurse faculty working in colleges or universities in Ontario, Canada were invited to participate. Survey instruments and items measured demographic, workplace, nurse responses to the workplace, and external variables. Correlation, multiple regression, and mediation analyses were conducted using data from 119 participants (47.6% response rate). Of the 19 variables hypothesized to affect intent to remain employed in the academic organization, seven influenced intent to remain. The resulting model indicated that the older the part-time nurse faculty member, the lower the level of intent to remain and the more years worked in the organization, the higher the level of intent to remain. The more opportunities perceived to exist outside of the employing organization, the higher the level of intent to remain. Additionally, the more satisfied part-time nurse faculty were with their job overall, the higher their level of intent to remain. In the workplace, the more support from the leader, the more formal or informal recognition received, and the more fair work procedures were perceived to be, the higher levels of part-time nurse faculty intent to remain employed in the academic organization, mediated by job satisfaction. Although age, organizational tenure, and external career opportunities are non-modifiable variables, deans and directors can encourage part-time nurse faculty to remain employed in their academic job by focusing on enhancing overall job satisfaction. Effective strategies may include formal or informal acknowledgement of good performance, consistent verbal and behavioural support, and implementation of procedural practices, such as performance evaluations and pay raises in a fair manner. 展开更多

According to changed views on driver training and driverintroduced in the Netherlands. The exam consists of two parts: (l)instructor preparation, a competence-based instructor exam wasmultimedia theory tests; (2) a performance lesson for drivinginstruction and coaching. An implicit idea behind the innovated exam is that it can have a positive backwash effect on the quality ofdriver instructor preparation programs. This study aims to evaluate the reliability, validity and fairness of the theoretical tests, whichappear in different versions for successive groups of PDIs (prospective driving instructors). Data of 4,741 PDIs, enrolled during theperiod between January 2010 and October 2012, were used for analysis. The results of psychometric analyses show that the theory testsyielded reliable and fair decisions about instructor certification. The predictive validity of the theory tests for the final performanceassessment was low. Implications for the design and on-the-fly maintenance of exam item banks are discussed. Follow-up studies willfocus on the question, whether the improved instructor exam produces safer drivers in the end. 展开更多

Strengthening the team construction of part-time teachers is required by the transformation and development of the universities,the realization of their goals of being developed into an application-oriented universities and their talent cultivation and long-term development.The existing problem regarding the part-time teachers in current application-oriented universities are the low proportion of part-time teachers,a shortage of high level parttime teachers,the absence of relevant laws and regulations,a lack of systematic policies or financial support for part-time teachers as well as the unsound management mechanism with insufficient scientific and reasonable employment scheme for part-time teachers.To strengthen the team construction of the part-time teachers in application-oriented universities,firstly we should improve the existing laws,regulations and policies and broaden the financial support channels.Secondly,we should develop the recruitment channels for part-time teachers and pay attention to introducing high-tech and highly-skilled talents.Thirdly,we should improve the management over part-time teachers and promote their value.Fourthly,it should adopt a people-oriented management concept and establish an effective evaluation and incentive mechanism for part-time teachers. 展开更多

The study investigates the perception and perceived practices of Higher Diploma program(HDP)in the Jimma University and|imma College of teachers'education using a cross-sectional survey design comprised of questionnaire and interviews.The data were collected from 91 instructors,and 3 higher diploma leaders(HDLs)who were selected through lottery sampling and 2 higher diploma coordinators(HDCs)who were selected using availability sampling methods.The finding revealed the importance:of the HDP(M=4.3,SD=0.91)though the perception of the HEI instructors.differ before coming,and after coming to the HDP.Though the study indicated as the trained instructors are applying the knowledge and skill,which they have acquired from the HDP training,the HEIs are not following the actual practices of the training.The study found out that the HE instructors'perception had a significant correlation with the practices of HDP(r=694,p=0.00<0.01)having a moderate effect size(8-0.48).The findings call for the proper implementation of the HDP for the betterment of the program and to achieve the intentions of the HDP. 展开更多

全科住院医师规范化培训师资开展教学门诊的意愿及影响因素研究

背景全科住院医师规范化培训(以下简称住培)师资开展规范的教学门诊是培养合格全科医生的关键环节,2021年7月中国医师协会组织专家修订了《全科专业住院医师规范化培训全科教学门诊规范(试行)》,全国各全科住培基地均参照此规范开展教... 背景全科住院医师规范化培训(以下简称住培)师资开展规范的教学门诊是培养合格全科医生的关键环节,2021年7月中国医师协会组织专家修订了《全科专业住院医师规范化培训全科教学门诊规范(试行)》,全国各全科住培基地均参照此规范开展教学门诊。然而现阶段各住培基地教学门诊的实施仍处于探索阶段,且重视程度不足,教学门诊质量不高、开展形式不规范现象普遍存在。目的了解全科住培师资开展教学门诊的意愿和影响因素,并分析开展教学门诊的难点与困惑,提出思考与建议。方法于2021年10月—2023年11月,以参加广东省省级全科住培普通师资培训班、骨干师资培训班的全科住培师资为调查对象(n=1003)。采用自行设计的问卷对纳入师资进行调查,内容涉及师资的基本情况、工作情况及全科教学门诊带教情况。通过“问卷星”平台制作电子问卷,并实现问卷的线上发放和回收。结果全科师资的平均年龄为(40.7±14.1)岁,724名(72.18%)师资所在机构开设了全科教学门诊,792名(78.96%)有带教意愿,710名(70.79%)无带教经验,904名(90.13%)自评带教能力为60~89分,583名(58.13%)未接受过全科教学门诊师资培训,462名(46.06%)期望以多种类型培训相结合的形式开展师资培训,分别有417名(41.58%)和309名(30.81%)认为全科教学门诊的教学难点是指导全科住院医师在全科门诊独立接诊患者和分层教学,377名(37.59%)认为最难实现的教学目的是指导全科住院医师掌握全科临床思维、提高其临床决策能力,216名(21.54%)认为全科住院医师最需要的培训内容是问诊技巧,456名(45.46%)认为所在机构未开展/不愿意开展教学门诊的原因为缺乏时间。多因素Logistic回归分析结果显示,所在机构开设全科教学门诊情况、带教经验、自评带教能力、接受全科教学门诊师资培训情况是全科师资教学门诊带教意愿的影响因素(P<0.05)。结论大部分全科住培师资愿意开展全科教学门诊,但存在带教经验、带教培训、带教能力不足等困难。建议优化和规范全科教学门诊、加强全科教学门诊师资的全科理念培训、强化带教激励措施、完善住培师资监督和反馈机制,以提升全科教学门诊质量。 展开更多

目的 分析2018—2022年湖南省第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训的情况,探讨适合我国第一目击者导师培训的特点及模式。方法 通过规范第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训的课程设计、信息化平台建设及质量管理控制,总结导师培训的特征及考核... 目的 分析2018—2022年湖南省第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训的情况,探讨适合我国第一目击者导师培训的特点及模式。方法 通过规范第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训的课程设计、信息化平台建设及质量管理控制,总结导师培训的特征及考核评价效果。结果 2018—2022年湖南省共培训第一目击者急救知识技能导师4 504名,主要由医护人员组成,占98.8%;83.42%为中级及以上职称。设计第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训课程和考核方式,导师经培训后考核,理论成绩为(96.11±3.61)分,心肺复苏操作评分为(90.49±2.90)分,AED使用评分为(90.37±3.09)分,创伤四项操作评分为(88.90±3.37)分。导师在理论课程、心肺复苏操作、AED使用、创伤四项操作四方面的掌握程度同质性较好。结论 第一目击者急救知识技能导师培训的模式具有科学性与合理性,值得进一步推广。 展开更多

临床指导医师学科教学知识内生发展策略探析

目的探讨临床指导医师学科教学知识内生发展的策略。方法选择50名临床指导医师进行问卷调查,用以梳理他们的学科教学知识现状。根据显性知识和隐性知识相互转化的SECI模型的基本原理,结合相关理论和实践探索成果,研究临床指导医师学科... 目的探讨临床指导医师学科教学知识内生发展的策略。方法选择50名临床指导医师进行问卷调查,用以梳理他们的学科教学知识现状。根据显性知识和隐性知识相互转化的SECI模型的基本原理,结合相关理论和实践探索成果,研究临床指导医师学科教学知识发展的路径。结果调查对象学科教学知识处于浅层次,表现为不善于对学科知识进行教学意义上的转化,不善于立足住院医师立场来呈现学科知识,不善于恰当科学地用足用好教学策略知识,不善于通过实践和反思来催化自身学科教学知识(pedagogical content knowledge,简称PCK)水平升华。SECI模型阐述了组合化、内隐化、外显化、社会化等4种知识转化的过程,揭示了显性知识和隐性知识之间相互作用和变化的规律,契合学科教学知识缄默性、个体性、情境性的特征,可以为临床指导医师提升学科教学知识水平提供有效方法。结论临床指导医师发展自身学科教学知识有4条可行性路径,即组合化、内隐化、外显化、社会化。 展开更多

在研学旅行大发展背景下,研学旅行指导师对研学旅行的顺利开展和预期成效的获得起着至关重要的作用。研学旅行指导师作为新职业被纳入《职业大典》,这对新职业的标准化发展及人才培养、管理等相关工作提出了新要求。文章基于SEM方程结... 在研学旅行大发展背景下,研学旅行指导师对研学旅行的顺利开展和预期成效的获得起着至关重要的作用。研学旅行指导师作为新职业被纳入《职业大典》,这对新职业的标准化发展及人才培养、管理等相关工作提出了新要求。文章基于SEM方程结构模型,采用文献法、访谈法、问卷调查和数理统计等科学研究方法,提出研学旅行指导师胜任力模型,并根据该模型分析、构建研学旅行指导师的职业能力体系。同时,针对研学旅行指导师的认定、培养、考核与评价,提出从顶层设计角度,构建“职业能力导向”的职业资格认证体系;从人才培养角度,建立“政府—企业行业—学校”一体化的教育系统;从资源配置角度,形成“人岗适配”的人才评价模式等建议。 展开更多
