Effects of high-quality neurosurgical nursing care on improving clinical nursing quality

BACKGROUND With continuous advancements in medical technology,neurosurgical nursing is constantly developing and improving to provide higher-quality nursing services.AIM To explore the effects of different types of high-quality nursing care on clinical nursing quality and patient satisfaction in neurosurgical nursing.METHODS Eighty patients who received neurosurgical treatment in the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from June to December 2020 were selected as study participants and categorised into study and control groups.The study group comprised 40 patients who received 4 different types of high-quality nursing care,whereas the control group comprised 40 patients who received conventional nursing care.After a specific period,nursing satisfaction levels and adverse event and complication rates were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Satisfaction with high-quality care was higher than that with conventional care,and high-quality health services and regional services showed the highest satisfaction levels,with an average score of 12 on the Glasgow scale.The satisfaction levels of the study and control groups were 75%and 57%,respectively,with a statistically significant difference(t=7.314,P<0.05).During the nursing period,the adverse event and complication rates were the highest in patients with level III pathology grade and those who underwent neurosurgery(40.02%and 85.93%,respectively),and the difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION In neurosurgical nursing,employing appropriate high-quality nursing methods can effectively reduce adverse event and complication rates in patients,thereby improving the quality of nursing care and increasing clinical nursing value.

Impact of the Rapid Recovery Concept on Complications and Patient Quality of Life in the Perioperative Nursing of Robot-Assisted Radical Oesophageal Cancer

Aim: This study evaluates the impact of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) nursing on postoperative complications and quality of life in patients undergoing robot-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE). Methods: A total of 150 patients who underwent RAMIE from January 2020 to January 2022 at our hospital were randomly assigned to either the observation group or the control group, with 75 patients in each. The control group received standard perioperative management and nursing care, while the observation group was treated with ERAS nursing strategies. Interventions continued until discharge, and outcomes such as postoperative complications, quality of life, and nutritional status were compared between the groups. Results: The observation group exhibited a significantly lower incidence of postoperative adverse reactions compared to the control group (P ionally, all dimension scores of the Short-Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36), including the total score, were higher in the observation group (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the Nutritional Risk Screening (NRS) scores for impaired nutritional status and disease severity, along with the total NRS score, were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group (P Conclusion: Implementing ERAS nursing in the perioperative care of patients undergoing RAMIE is associated with reduced postoperative complications and enhanced postoperative quality of life and nutritional status. .

The Impact of Patient Education on the Nursing Care of Perioperative Patients in the Interventional Catheterization Room

Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of implementing a precise education model on the nursing care of perioperative patients in the interventional catheterization room.Methods:We selected 70 patients who were going to undergo surgical intervention in our hospital from August 2020 to December 2022 as the subjects for this study through random sampling.The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 35 cases in each group.The control group underwent basic nursing intervention,and the observation group was given precise patient education.The nursing effects of both groups were observed.Results:After the intervention,all compliance indicators of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Besides,the incidence of complications in the observation group(2.86%)was lower than that of the control group(17.14%)with P<0.05.Furthermore,the patient satisfaction of the observation group(97.14%)was higher than that of the control group(82.86%),with P<0.05.Conclusion:A precise propaganda and education model facilitates the nursing of perioperative patients in the interventional catheterization room.Therefore,this practice should be popularized.

Analysis of the Effect of Intensive Nursing Care on Improving Sleep Quality During the Perioperative Period of Severed Finger Reimplantation

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of perioperative intensive nursing on patients who underwent severed finger reimplantation and its influence on sleep quality.Methods:62 patients who underwent severed finger reimplantation between January 2023 and December 2023 were included.They were divided into two groups:the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=31).The control group received basic nursing interventions,while the observation group received intensive nursing care.The comparison parameters included visual analog pain score(VAS),incidence of vascular crises,length of hospitalization,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hamilton Depression Score(HAM-D),Hamilton Anxiety Score(HAM-A),and patient satisfaction.Results:Postoperative VAS score,incidence of vascular crisis,hospitalization time,PSQI score,and HAM-A and HAM-D scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the patient satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Perioperative intensive nursing care for patients undergoing severed finger reimplantation demonstrates significant benefits.It reduces postoperative pain,lowers the incidence of vascular crises,shortens hospitalization durations,enhances sleep quality,alleviates negative emotions,and improves nursing satisfaction.These findings underscore the importance and applicability of such care practices.

Perioperative nursing care for hip arthroplasty patients with concomitant hypertension: A minireview

Hip replacement(HA)is mainly indicated for the elderly,who generally suffer from various underlying diseases such as hypertension.This article provides a review of the key points of perioperative nursing care for patients with hyper-tension undergoing HA.It analyzes the key points of care during the periop-erative period(preoperative,intraoperative,and postoperative)and proposes directions for the development of perioperative nursing care for HA.The pro-gnosis for patients can be improved through the modification of traditional medical approaches and the application of new technologies and concepts.

Evaluation of Clinical Application of ERAS Concept in Perioperative Nursing of HoLEP Patients

[Objectives]To observe the application effect of the concept of accelerated recovery after surgery(ERAS)on patients undergoing trans-urethral holmium laser enucleation of prostate(HoLEP)during perioperative period.[Methods]HoLEP patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia admitted to the Department of Urology,Affiliated Hospital of Jinggangshan University from June to December in 2022 were divided into the observation and control group.40 patients in the control group were given perioperative routine nursing,while 40 patients in the observation group were given perioperative systematic nursing under the concept of ERAS.The nursing effect of different measures were evaluated.[Results]The perioperative related indexes of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative feeding,exhaust,spontaneous urination,getting out of bed and hematuria stop time of patients in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The IPSS score and RUV of patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,while their Qmax was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusions]The application of perioperative systematic nursing under ERAS concept in HoLEP patients can promote patients rapid recovery and reduce their complications.

Application Value of Evidence-Based Nursing in the Perioperative Care of Ankle Fracture Patients

Objective:To analyze the value of applying evidence-based nursing in the perioperative care of patients with ankle fractures and propose corresponding measures to improve the quality of patient care.Methods:The study started in May 2022 and was terminated in March 2023.During this period,50 patients with ankle fractures treated by our hospital were selected as research subjects.They were divided into a control group and a research group.The control group had 25 patients who received routine care,and the research group had 25 who received evidence-based care.The nursing effects of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:The pain scores,quality of life,incidence of adverse reactions,and nursing satisfaction of patients in the research group were all significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Evidence-based nursing can effectively improve the quality of care,reduce the risk of adverse reactions,and promote patient recovery,so it is suitable for clinical implementation.

Analysis of the Effect of Comfort Care in The Perioperative Care of Patients with Hysteromyomectomy and its Influence on Self-Care Ability

Objective:To analyze the effect of perioperative comfort care for patients with hysteromyomectomy(HYS).Methods:Seventy cases of HYS patients admitted to our hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were randomly selected and divided into Group A(control group,35 cases,conventional care)and Group B(observation group 35 cases,comfort care).The effects of the two groups before and after nursing care were compared.Results:The self-rating anxiety(SAS)scores,exercise of self-care agency(ESCA)scores,and nursing satisfaction scores at the time of discharge of Group B were better than in Group A after nursing care(P<0.05).Conclusion:Perioperative comfort care for HYS patients improved the patient’s adverse emotions,self-care ability,and nursing satisfaction.

Analysis of Perioperative Respiratory Care Methods and their Application Value in Children with Congenital Heart Disease

Objective:To analyze the perioperative respiratory care methods and application value in children with congenital heart disease.Methods:60 children with congenital heart disease(treated from January 2021 to October 2023)were screened and divided into two groups randomly.Each group consisted of 30 cases.The perioperative routine was used in the control group.The observation group underwent the perioperative routine along with better respiratory care.Oxygenation indicators,surgical complications,and family satisfaction levels of the groups were compared.Results:There was no significant difference in the oxygenation index between the two groups of children at admission(P>0.05).At discharge,the oxygenation indicators in the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the incidence of surgical complications was lower than that of the control group.The total satisfaction of family members in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:During the perioperative period for children with congenital heart disease,the implementation of respiratory care,which mainly involves symptomatic care,catheter care,sputum suction care,etc.,can actively improve the oxygenation indicators,reduce surgical complications,and promote faster and better recovery,of children with congenital heart disease.

Progress in research on the application of nursing models for breast cancer patients during the perioperative period

Nursing models at home and abroad for breast cancer patients during the perioperative period were screened, including eight types of models： the nursing model guided by self-care theory, the plan-do-check-act cycle combined with the four-in-one model, the peer support nursing model, the nursing model guided by transcultural theory, the multidisciplinary cooperative nursing model, the knowledge-attitude-practice nursing model, the safe nursing management model, and the case nursing model. These models were analyzed and described with the aim of providing a reference for the clinical breast surgery nursing staff in China and for promoting the development of nursing in China for breast cancer the perioperative period.

Application of the Modality of Multiple Disciplinary Team for a Perioperative Patient with Suspected Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia and Cervical Spine Fracture in Nursing

With the explosive spread of novel coronavirus pneumonia, a major public major public health emergency has been declared around the world. Our country has come to a crucial stage of “external defense input, internal defense rebound” and strict quarantine measures are taken in all ports of entry throughout the country. Operations on patients with cervical spine during the quarantine, which not only increases the risk of surgical treatment, but also increases the difficulty of perioperative nursing. The objective is to explore the result of application of the modality of multiple disciplinary team for a perioperative patient with suspected novel coronavirus pneumonia and cervical spine fracture in nursing. The patient’s condition and nursing measures are studied and discussed from various specialist angle through the multidisciplinary team established by the isolation ward, orthopedics department, emergency department, anesthesiology department, operating room, rehabilitation department, psychology department and so on, and the overall and personalized surgical and nursing planning is formed through interdisciplinary advice. The nursing experience is summarized in this paper.

Perioperative Nursing for Adult Congenital Heart Disease with Severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Objectives: To explore the main points of perioperative nursing for adult congenital heart disease with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. Methods: A retrospective study of 13 patients with congenital heart disease and severe pulmonary arterial hypertension who admitted to the perioperative period of care from January 2018 to December 2019. To prevent perioperative complications of the patients, the focus is on respiratory and circulatory system care, followed by blood coagulation monitoring, digestive system protection and psychological care. Results: All 13 patients passed the perioperative period and were discharged from ICU. Conclusion: Adult congenital heart disease with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension has high perioperative risk, respiratory and circulatory system care is the key.

Perioperative Nursing of a Case of Right Temporal Lobe Brain Abscess Ruptured into the Ventricle

Objective: To explore the perioperative nursing method of brain abscess breaking into the ventricle. Methods: By reviewing the clinical data of 1 case of right temporal lobe brain abscess into the ventricle, the effective nursing methods were summarized. Results: The patient’s condition was advanced quickly, and the diagnosis was treated in time to avoid brain hernia, but the treatment was difficult because of the critical condition. Conclusion: Brain abscess is a very serious intracranial infectious disease. It is of great significance to observe the changes in patients’ condition and take effective nursing measures.

Perioperative Nursing Care for Patients with Lung Cancer Undergoing Total Pneumonectomy

Objectives: To explore the perioperative nursing care for lung cancer patients undergoing total pneumonectomy, and to promote their rehabilitation. Methods: We will provide preoperative assessment and education in the aspects of respiratory function, diet, and psychology to patients undergoing total pneumonectomy, and provide continuous postoperative management about posture, fluid, and respiratory to help patients diagnosed with lung squamous cell carcinoma and underwent total pneumonectomy to reduce their postoperative complications and improve their overall quality of life. Results: 78.9% of lung cancer patients who underwent total pneumonectomy achieved a better outcome and prognosis by receiving the above nursing program. Conclusion: With large lung cancer tumors, the surgical trauma is highly invasive and the resection is extensive. Management of the patient’s respiratory tract is the focus of perioperative nursing and the key to preventing the development of related postoperative complications.

Perioperative nursing of a newborn with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome

Objective:To explore the perioperative nursing of a newborn with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome.Methods:We observed the blood glucose of the child and prevent infection of omphalocele before transpor tation and before the operation;after the operation,we performed airway nursing,blood glucose monitoring,urination observation,and tumor marker monitoring;finally,at the time of discharge from the hospital,we provided health education.Results:After a series of perioperative nursing measures,the child was discharged smoothly from hospital 34 d after operation.Conclusions:Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome is a rare congenital malformation.Timely and accurate observation and evaluation of the child during perioperative period and targeted nursing measures can effectively reduce or avoid the occurrence of postoperative complications.

Perioperative Nursing Management of an Animal Model of Axial Flow Blood Pump Implantation

This study aimed to explore the characteristics of perioperative nursing of experimental goats using self-made axial-flow blood pump implantation and provided theoretical nursing knowledge and practice-based evidence for the clinical application of domestically manufactured artificial cardiac pumps. Methods: Seven experimental goats were used in this study, three for pre-testing and four for the formal experiments. According to the surgical requirements for axial-flow blood pump implantation into the cardiac apex, we creatively designed and made a series of highly practical animal surgical instruments including a composite disassemblable bed for experimental animal transferring and monitoring, a multifunctional animal surgery bed, and portable medical supporting equipment. We also applied for two national invention patents and one utility model patent. Active measures were taken to ensure careful preparation before surgery, close collaboration during surgery, and effective management of complications after surgery. Results: Two of the four experimental goats died during surgery because of a massive hemorrhage caused by distal anastomotic failure and air embolism-induced cardiac arrest caused by air leakage from the outlet into the heart due to poor connection of the auxiliary pressure tap (used to measure left ventricular pressure). The mean survival time of the remaining three experimental goats was 22.7 hours. Conclusion: This study was the first to systematically and comprehensively investigate the perioperative nursing management of axial-flow blood pump implantation using animal models. These findings could greatly promote further clinical applied nursing research of self-made artificial cardiac pump implantation in experimental goats.

Analysis of the Effects of Perioperative Nursing Intervention for Patients with Cerebrovascular Intervention

Objective:To explore the clinical application effects of perioperative nursing intervention in the treatment of patients with cerebrovascular intervention.Methods:176 patients with cerebrovascular intervention in our hospital from October 2018 to March 2020 were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups,with 88 cases in the control group and 88 cases in the observation group.Comparative analysis of blood pressure and incidence of complications was performed.Results:During the operation,the systolic blood pressure of the observation group increased by(11.85±1.66)mmHg,and the diastolic blood pressure was(4.63±0.45)mmHg.The control group patients'systolic blood pressure increased by(22.12±1.98)mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure was(8.36±3.69)mmHg,the two results were significantly different.The blood pressure of the patients in the control group fluctuated more;and the incidence of complications in the observation group is lower than that of the control group.The observation group's incidence of hematoma,low back discomfort,dysuria,and insomnia and dreaminess was 2.27%,2.27%,1.14%,0%,respectively,with total incidence of 5.68%;in the control group,the incidence of hematoma,low back discomfort,dysuria,insomnia and dreaminess were 6.81%,5.68%,3.41%,4.55%respectively,total incidence being 20.45%.The difference between observation group and control group is obvious.Conclusion:Through perioperative nursing intervention,the recovery speed of patients can be improved,and the incidence of postoperative complications can be reduced.The mental state of the patient before the operation was adjusted,the emotions were calmed,the patient's compliance was improved,and the patient's resistive emotions were reduced.At the same time,if patients can get good nursing care after surgery,the probability of postoperative complications is reduced,so that patients have better results in surgery,and its clinical application is worthy of promotion.

Perioperative Nursing Care Experience of a Case of Postoperative Recurrent Grade Ⅱ-Ⅰ Left Frontal Astrocytoma

Objective:To investigate the effect and value of perioperative nursing intervention on postoperative recurrent grade II-I left frontal astrocytoma.Method:Nursing care procedures:left frontal lobe of the patient was occupied by a large space.Clinical teaching of nursing was strengthened.Preoperative,intraoperative and postoperative care and ward patrol were enhanced.Close attention was paid on consciousness,pupil,vital signs,body temperature,lungs condition,cranial and nerve function of the patient.Extra care was taken in keeping the incision clean and dry.Blood diffusion condition in wound was observed.Active cooperation with doctor was taken to prevent occurrence of pulmonary infection,urinary tract infection,pressure ulcer and other complication.Results:After operation,the patient had stable condition,clear mind and consciousness.There was no occurrence of epilepsy but intracranial hemorrhage.Pneumatosis was relieved.There was no infection and other complication.Conclusion:Application of comprehensive nursing intervention could effectively improve quality of life of patient and reduce incidence of postoperative complication in patients with brain tumor.

Application Value of High-Quality Nursing Intervention in Patients with Cirrhotic Ascites

Objective:To study the application value of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites.Methods:From February 2018 to February 2020,80 patients with cirrhotic ascites,treated in Yancheng No.1 People’s Hospital,were selected as the subjects for this study.The patients were divided into two groups based on the type of nursing intervention:a routine group and an observation group,with 40 cases in each group.The routine group received routine nursing,and the observation group received high-quality nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The nursing effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:The total effective cases in the observation group were 39 cases,with a total effective rate of 97.5%;the total effective cases in the routine group were 33 cases,with a total effective rate of 82.5%.The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the routine group(P<0.05).In the routine group,there were eight cases of adverse reactions,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 20.0%,whereas there were only two cases of adverse reactions in the observation group,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 5.0%.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites can improve the nursing effect and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions;thus,it should be popularized in clinical settings.

Effect of High-Quality Nursing on Patients with Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome

Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of high-quality nursing on patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome.Methods:Ninety patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome treated in Huyi District People’s Hospital from October 2021 to January 2022 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 45 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing and the experimental group received high-quality nursing.The effect of routine nursing and high-quality nursing were compared and analyzed based on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),the degree of satisfaction with nursing care,and the patients’quality of life.Results:Before nursing,there was no significant difference in the patients’psychological state between the two groups(P>0.05);after nursing,there was significant difference in the patients’psychological state between the two groups(P<0.05);the degree of satisfaction with nursing care of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);comparing the quality of life of the two groups,the quality-of-life score of the control group was significantly lower than that of the experimental group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome,high-quality nursing can significantly and effectively improve their psychological state,level of satisfaction with nursing care,and quality of life.
