Nature produces trace amounts of ozone in the air through lightning to purify the ecological environment. The product of ozone decomposition is oxygen, without secondary pollution. Ozone sterilizer is widely used in the epidemic prevention and control of intensive breeding farms and achieved remarkable results. If the concentration and action time of ozone can be accurately controlled, then ozone can quickly eliminate pathogens, without harming the normal cells in the human body. How to use medical ozone for epidemic prevention, treatment and health care is a subject worthy of serious study, which should arouse the attention of the experts in the field.展开更多

In this study, meteorological parameters, including surface temperature(T_(2)), solar radiation(SW), and wind speed(WS), were classified into two aspects,(1) Photochemical Reaction Condition(PRC = T_(2)× SW) and(2) Physical Dispersion Capacity(PDC = WS). In this way, a Meteorology Synthetic Index(MSI = PRC/PDC) was developed for the quantification of meteorology-induced ground-level O_(2)pollution. The positive linear relationship between the 90 th percentile of MDA8(maximum daily 8-h average) O_(2)concentration and MSI determined that the contribution of meteorological changes to ground-level O-3 varied on a latitudinal gradient, decreasing from ~40% in southern China to 10%–20% in northern China. Favorable photochemical reaction conditions were more important for ground-level O_(2)pollution. This study proposes a universally applicable index for fast diagnosis of meteorological roles in ground-level O_(2)variability, which enables the assessment of the observed effects of precursor emissions reductions that can be used for designing future control policies.展开更多

We report a facile solution method to form titanium oxide(TiO_(2))nano-flower structure on the titanium(Ti)substrates for realizing good physical sterilization and biocompatibility.We first prepare TiO_(2) nanotubes(N...We report a facile solution method to form titanium oxide(TiO_(2))nano-flower structure on the titanium(Ti)substrates for realizing good physical sterilization and biocompatibility.We first prepare TiO_(2) nanotubes(NT)with a diameter of about 80-100 nm and a length of about 5μm on Ti substrates by anodization,which is utilized as precursor.Then,we employ immersion treatment in different concentrations of phosphoric acid solution at 75℃ for 5 h to realize the transformation from TiO_(2) NT to TiO_(2) nano-flower structure.In addition,we studied the effects of phosphoric acid concentration(1 wt%,2.5 wt%,5 wt% and 10 wt%)on the TiO_(2) nano-flower structure,and the antibacterial properties and biocompatibility of the TiO_(2) nano-flower structure.The results show that TiO_(2) nano-flower structure become larger and thicker with the increase in the phosphoric acid concentration,and the thickness of the coating can reach 6.88μm.Meanwhile,the TiO_(2) nano-flower structure shows good physical sterilization effect,especially for the TiO_(2) nano-flower structure formed in 10 wt%H^(3)PO_(4) solution,the antibacterial rate can reach 95%.In addition,the TiO_(2) nano-flower structure have no toxicity to the osteoblasts and support cell growth.展开更多

To isolate a gene Sc conferring the hybrid sterility, the locus was mapped us-ing molecular markers and an F2 population de...Hybrid sterility is a major hindrance to utiliz-ing the heterosis in indica-japonica hybrids. To isolate a gene Sc conferring the hybrid sterility, the locus was mapped us-ing molecular markers and an F2 population derived from a cross between near isogenic lines. A primary linkage analysis showed that Sc was linked closely with 4 markers on chro-mosome 3, on which the genetic distance between a marker RG227 and Sc was 0.07 cM. Chromosome walking with a rice TAC genomic library was carried out using RG227 as a starting probe, and a contig of ca. 320 kb covering the Sc locus was constructed. Two TAC clones, M45E14 and M90J01 that might cover the Sc locus, were partially se-quenced. By searching the rice sequence databases with se-quences of the TACs and RG227 a japonica rice BAC se-quence, OSJNBb0078P24 was identified. By comparing the TAC and BAC sequences, six new PCR-based markers were developed. With these markers the Sc locus was further mapped to a region of 46 kb. The results suggest that the BAC OSJNBb0078P24 and TAC M45E14 contain the Sc gene. Six ORFs were predicted in the focused 46-kb region.展开更多
