Exploration of the Integration of Ethnic Music Elements into Modern Piano Art Creation

Piano originated in Western countries,so a large number of Western cultural elements are used in piano art creation,mainly to present Western humanistic thoughts and spiritual cultural cores to the audience.In recent years,with the modernization of piano art and culture in China,many Chinese listeners have begun to demand more ethnic and folk piano pieces with Chinese characteristics.In order to meet the audience’s pursuit of modern Chinese piano art,more and more creators are integrating ethnic music elements into modern piano art creation.This article explores the integration significance of ethnic music elements in modern piano art creation and the current situation of Chinese modern piano art creation,and finds that ethnic music elements have positive help in enhancing the novelty,ethnic characteristics,and timeliness of piano art creation.Based on this,this article proposes several strategies for integrating traditional ethnic music elements into modern piano art creation,including adapting traditional ethnic music elements,creating pentatonic tunes,and modifying work titles.The aim is to provide references and inspiration for the development of Chinese piano art creation and culture.

Numerical Study on Hydraulic Characteristics and Discharge Capacity of Modified Piano Key Weir with Various Inlet/Outlet Width Ratio

A modified piano key weir with a rounded nose and a parapet wall (MPKW) can improve the discharge capacity significantly compared to a standard piano key weir. However, the optimum of the inlet/outlet width ratio (Wi/Wo) on the discharge efficiency of MPKW is still not investigated numerically. The present work utilized the numerical modeling to investigate and analyze the effects of the inlet/outlet key width ratios on the hydraulic characteristics and discharge capacity of the MPKW. To validate the numerical model with the experimental data, the results indicate that the average relative error is 2.96%, which confirms that the numerical model is fairly well to predictthe specifications of flow over on the MPKW. Numerical simulation results indicated that the discharge capacity of the MPKW can be improved up to 8.5% by optimizing the Wi/Wo ratio ranging from 1.53 to 1.67 even if the other parameters of the MPKW keep unchanged. A big Wi/Wo ratio generally leads to an increase in discharge capacity at low heads and a little effect on the discharge efficiency at high heads. The discharge efficiency of the inlet and outlet crests increases up to 9.6% for high heads, while discharge efficiency of the lateral crest decreases up to 23.5% compared with the reference model. The findings of the study revealed that the intrinsic influencing mechanism of the Wi/Wo ratio on the discharge performance of MPKWs.

Diversified teaching plays an important role in the sustainable development of China’s basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.A diversified curriculum system should be designed to promote the development of each student,and efforts should be made to cultivate high-quality talents who can adapt to the various needs of the society as well as to promote the reform and development of basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.The aim of this study was to explore the teaching of basic piano course for higher education teachers based on the diversified teaching method.The teaching methods use for basic piano course were analyzed in this study,and two research methods were used to carry out the present study so as to effectively improve the operation of the diversified teaching method.Through a survey of the current situation of piano instruction in two higher education faculties,we can see that the teaching of basic piano course in higher education is still dominated by the traditional teaching method although the majority of students preferred the diversified teaching method.
