Objective:To study the improvement of Chaishao Jieyu decoction combined with Pingxiao capsule on the mental state、immune function and endometrium of patients with luminal breast cancer undergoing endocrine therapy af...Objective:To study the improvement of Chaishao Jieyu decoction combined with Pingxiao capsule on the mental state、immune function and endometrium of patients with luminal breast cancer undergoing endocrine therapy after operation.Methods:60 cases of luminal breast cancer patients after operation,according to the method of random grouping would be divided into the control group and the observation group,each group 30 cases.The control group were treated with tamoxifen.On the basis,the observation group accepted oral administration of Chaishao Jieyu Decoction and Pingxiao capsule.The levels of 5-HT、DA、T lymphocyte subsets、IGF-1 and endometrial thickness were compared.Results:At the end of treatment,the observation group's 5-HT、DA、CD3+、CD4+levels were obviously higher than the control group(P<0.05),the observation group's CD8+levels、IGF-1 levels and endometrial thickness were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chaishao Jieyu Decoction combined with Pingxiao capsule can significantly improve the mental state、immune function of patients with luminal breast cancer undergoing endocrine therapy after surgery,and inhibit their endometrial thickening,the effect is exact.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To systematically review the effectiveness and safety of Pingxiao capsule(平消胶囊)adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer.METHODS:A total of 8 databases including the Cochrane Library,PubMed...OBJECTIVE:To systematically review the effectiveness and safety of Pingxiao capsule(平消胶囊)adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer.METHODS:A total of 8 databases including the Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBASE,Engineering Index,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Wanfang database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,and China Science and Technology Journal Database were searched for the Randomized Controlled Trials(RCTs)of Pingxiao capsule combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer published before June 2022.Two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and evaluated the risk of bias.R language was used for estimating risks of bias of included studies,data analysis,and plotting.RESULTS:A total of 15 RCTs involving 1272 patients were included in this study.Meta-analysis results indicated that compared with chemotherapy alone,Pingxiao capsule combined with chemotherapy could significantly improve breast cancer patients'objective response rate of breast cancer patients[rate ratio(RR)=1.35,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.12,1.63),P=0.0017],the disease control rate[RR=1.16,95%CI(1.08,1.25),P<0.0001],the quality of life[RR=1.42,95%CI(1.16,1.74),P=0.007],and the level of the immune cells[CD3+:standardized mean difference(SMD)=1.42,95%CI(0.76,2.09),P<0.001;CD4+:SMD=1.18,95%CI(0.70,1.66),P<0.001].In addition,Pingxiao capsule combined with chemotherapy can also significantly reduce CD8+level(P<0.0001)and reduce the symptoms of decreased white blood cell count[SMD=0.62,95%CI(0.39,0.85),P<0.0001],and the occurrence of adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal adverse reactions and limb pain(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Pingxiao capsule can significantly improve the efficacy of chemotherapy,the quality of life and immune function of patients,and reduce the clinical side effects caused by chemotherapy.However,highquality randomized clinical trials with large samples are required for further verification of these results.展开更多

METHODS: The inhibition of PXC on cell viability and proliferation was determined by cell counting kit-8, EdU assay and colony formation assay, respectively. The effect of PXC on cell apoptosis was detected by using flow cytometry. The suppression of PXC on cell migration and invasion was investigated by chamber assay. To investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms, the expression of proteins related to epithelial to mesenchymal transition(EMT) was analyzed by Western blotting in breast cancer cells and by immunohistochemistry in tumor tissues. The anticancer effect of PXC in vivo was evaluated by using MDA-MB-231 xenograft model and 4T1 metastatic breast cancer model. RESULTS: Our results indicated that triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) cell lines MDA-MB-231 and MDAMB-468 were sensitive to PXC. PXC potently inhibited the proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion of MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-468 cells in vitro. Then, in vivo MDA-MB-231 xenograft model depicted that PXC significantly reduced tumor size and weight compared with Control. 4T1 lung metastasis model showed that PXC significantly inhibited breast cancer cell spreading to lungs in mice. Mechanistically, PXC inhibited EMT process by reducing cadherin turnover in TNBC. Furthermore, PXC in combination with 8 Gy X-ray treatment obviously promoted the induction of apoptosis, and suppressed cell proliferation. CONCLUSION: PXC could inhibit the proliferation and invasion of TNBC both in vitro and in vivo, and exerted its anti-metastatic effect by regulating cadherin turnover, Furthermore, it sensitized the TNBC cells to radiotherapy.
