It should be reformed as levying only for over-limit emission, and not levying for emissionsbelow limit or levying indicatively.● Environmental regulations on SO2 control should make differences depending on environmental function ofzones, time period of generating units installed and manner of emissions. 展开更多

According to statistics, the average dust collection efficiency of flue gas emission in the large and medium- sized power plants in Zhejiang Province at present has attained higher than 97% which surpasses the 95% standard as stipulated by the Ministry of Electric Power. The dust collection efficiency of the Beilungang Power Plant has already attained 99.92%. In recent years, Zhejiang Electric Power Corporation has stipulated that all the newly constructed generating units shall be equipped with high efficiency electrostatic precipitator (ESP) while the existing power plants shall speed up their renovation work for their dust collectors. Precise genome modification with engineered nucleases is a powerful tool for studying basic biology and applied biotechnology. Transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs),consisting of an engineered specific(TALE) DNA binding domain and a Fok I cleavage domain,are newly developed versatile reagents for genome engineering in different organisms.Because of the simplicity of the DNA recognition code and their modular assembly,TALENs can act as customizable molecular DNA scissors inducing double-strand breaks(DSBs) at given genomic location.Thus,they provide a valuable approach to targeted genome modifications such as mutations, insertions,replacements or chromosome rearrangements.In this article,we review the development of TALENs,and summarize the principles and tools for TALEN-mediated gene targeting in plant cells,as well as current and potential strategies for use in plant research and crop improvement. 展开更多

There is an urgent need for new chemical application techniques and sprayers in Chinese orchard spraying.A new tractor-mounted automatic target detecting electrostatics,and air-assisted orchard sprayer was designed and developed to meet the demand of chemical pest control in orchards.This sprayer light weighted,highly efficient,reduces pesticide use and is friendly to the environment.The techniques of automatic target detecting,electrostatics,and air-assisted spraying were combined in this system.The electrostatically charged droplets are projected toward the target by the assistance of an air stream that increases the droplets penetration within canopy.Experimental results show that the new automatic target detecting orchard sprayer with an infrared sensor can save more than 50%to 75%of pesticides,improve the utilization rate(over 55%),control efficiency,and significantly reduce environmental pollution caused by the pesticide application.At the same time the key technological problems related to air-assisted low volume and electrostatic spraying were solved. 展开更多
