The investigated characteristics, which were all deduced from geophysical wire-line logs, include lithology, porosity, permeability, fluid saturation, and net to gross thickness. To characterise the reservoir on the field, a suite of wire-line logs including gamma ray, resistivity, spontaneous potential, and density logs for three wells (WELL_1X, WELL_2X, and WELL_3X) from the Tano Cape Three Point basin were studied. The analyses that were done included lithology delineation, reservoir identification, and petrophysical parameter determination for the identified reservoirs. The tops and bases of the three wells analysed were marked at a depth of 1203.06 - 2015.64 m, 3863.03 - 4253.85 m and 2497.38 - 2560.32 m respectively. There were no hydrocarbons in the reservoirs from the studies. The petrophysical parameters computed for each reservoir provided porosities of 13%, 3% and 11% respectively. The water saturation also determined for these three wells (WELL_1X, WELL_2X and WELL_3X) were 94%, 95% and 89% respectively. These results together with the behaviour of the density and neutron logs suggested that these wells are wildcat wells.展开更多

We find that the system possesses two sets of EPs, which divide the systemparameter space into PT-symmetry unbroken, partially broken and fully broken regimes, each with distinct quantumdynamics characteristics. Particularly, in the partially broken regime, while the PT-symmetry is generally broken in the whole four-dimensional Hilbert space, it is preserved in a two-dimensional subspace such that the quantum dynamics in the subspace are similar to those in the PT-symmetry unbroken regime. In addition, we reveal that the competition between the inter-qubit coupling and the intra-qubit driving gives rise to a complex pattern in the EP variation with system parameters.展开更多

The results indicate that the small/large BH phase transition that is similar to the van der Waals(vdW) liquid/gas phase transition always exists for any spacetime dimensions. Interestingly, we then find that this BH system exhibits a more complex phase structure in 6-dimensional case that is missed in other dimensions.Specifically, it shows for D = 6 that we observed the small/intermediate/large BH phase transitions in a specific parameter region with the triple point naturally appeared. Moreover, when the magnetic charge turned off, we still observed the small/intermediate/large BH phase transitions and triple point only in 6-dimensional spacetime, which is consistent with the previous results. However, for the dyonic Ad S BHs with quasitopological electromagnetism in Einstein–Born–Infeld(EBI) gravity, the novel phase structure composed of two separate coexistence curves observed by Li et al. [Phys. Rev. D105 104048(2022)] disappeared in EGB gravity. This implies that this novel phase structure is closely related to gravity theories, and seems to have nothing to do with the effect of quasitopological electromagnetism. In addition, it is also true that the critical exponents calculated near the critical points possess identical values as mean field theory. Finally, we conclude that these findings shall provide some deep insights into the intriguing thermodynamic properties of the dyonic Ad S BHs with quasitopological electromagnetism in EGB gravity.展开更多

We investigate the Mott transition in a Hubbard model by using the dynamical mean-field theory and introduce the local quantum state fidelity to depict the Mott metal–insulator transition. The local quantum state fidelity provides a convenient approach to determining the critical point of the Mott transition. Additionally, it presents a consistent description of the two distinct forms of the Mott transition points.展开更多

Therefore, greater therapeutic efficacy for cerebral palsy could be obtained by selecting the five Shu acupoints, which are located at the qi-intersecting point of the twelve meridians below the elbow and knee. OBJECTIVE: To treat children with spastic cerebral palsy using acupuncture and massage at the Shu and He points through a combination of rehabilitative training, and to compare the effects with routine acupuncture and massage. DESIGN: A randomized controlled clinical trial. SETTING: Rehabilitation Center for Cerebral Palsy, Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. PARTICIPANTS: Sixty children with spastic cerebral palsy were selected from the Rehabilitation Center for Cerebral Palsy, Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2003 to February 2006. There were 38 boys and 22 girls, aged 10 months to 4 years old, muscle strength ranging from grade I to grade IV. The children were randomly divided into a treatment group (n =30) and a control group (n =30). Informed consent for the therapeutic program was obtained from the relatives of all enrolled children. The study was approved by the Hospital's Ethical Committee. METHODS: All children were given exercise and occupational therapy based on standard treatments. (1) In the control group, the children were additionally treated with routine acupuncture and massage during the one-month basic rehabilitative training. The acupuncture needles were manipulated alternately at the acupoints of Jianyu, Shousanli, Binao, Hegu, Huantiao, Xuanzhong, and Biguan. They were treated once per day, 6 days a week, followed by one day of rest. The children's limbs were first massaged by pressing, stretching, rolling, and kneading. Then, the same acupuncture points were pressed with the thumb for 30 minutes each time, once a day, 6 days a week, followed by one day of rest. The treatment continued for 1 month. (2) In the treatment group, the children were administered acupuncture and massage at the Shu and He points during the one-month basic rehabilitative treatment. For acupuncture of the upper limbs, the following acupoints were used: Sanjian and Quchi of the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand-Yangming, and Houxi and Xiaohai of the Small Intestine Meridian of Hand-Taiyang. The acupoints were acupunctured alternately every other day. For acupuncture of the lower limbs, the following acupoints were used; Zulinqi and Yanglingquan of the Gall bladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang, Taibai and Yinlingquan of the Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, or Xiangu and Zusanli of the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming. The acupoints were acupunctured alternately every other day. Three needles were for the medial malleolus and three needles for the lateral malleolus. They were treated once a day, 6 days a week, followed by one day of rest. The children's limbs were first massaged by means of pressing, stretching, rolling, and kneading. The same acupuncture points were then pressed with the thumb for 0.5-1 minute at each point, 30 minutes each time, once a day, 6 days a week, followed by one day of rest. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Therapeutic efficacy was evaluated using gross motor function measurements, as well as activity of daily living scale before and after treatment. RESULTS: All 60 enrolled children with spastic cerebral palsy were included in the final analysis of results. (1) Comparison of gross motor function scores: The gross motor function score after treatment was significantly higher in both the treatment group and control group than before treatment (t = -3.86 and -8.882, respectively, P 〈 0.05). The scores in the treatment group were significantly higher than the control group scores (t = -7.166, P 〈 0.01). (2) Changes in activity of daily living scores: The scores for activity of daily living in the treatment group was significantly higher after treatment than before treatment (t = -3.933, P 〈 0.01), and was also significantly higher than the control group (t = -0.671, P 〈 0.05). CONCLUSION: Acupuncture and massage at the Shu and He acupoints can significantly ameliorate motor function deficits and movement disabilities in children with spastic cerebral palsy. The therapeutic efficacy at these acupoints is better than routine acupuncture and massage.展开更多

It is found that acupuncture at Weiwanxiashu point can significantly lower the BG content and inhibit release of PG; no significant changes in BG and PG are found when acupuncture is given at Zusanli (ST 36) point alone, however BG and PG contents decrease more obviously when acupuncture employed at both Zusanli and Weiwanxiashu, suggesting that Zusanli has a marked synergetic action with Weiwanxiashu.展开更多

Morphologic change and functional disorder of myelin sheath and axon appear when diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) occurs. Whether electroacupuncture at Zusanfi(ST 36) and Shenshu(BL 32) points can enhance the expression of CGT protein and mRNA in the DPN tissue? OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture at Zusanfi and Shenshu points on motor, sensory conduction velocity and CGT mRNA and its protein expression of sciatic nerve in rats with DPN. DESIGN: A randomized and controlled animal experiment SETTING : Department of Neurology and Central Laboratory, Yueyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese & Western Medicine, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS : Totally 60 healthy male Wistar rats of clean grade, aged 4 month, with body mass of 200 to 220 g, were enrolled in this study. Streptozotocin (STZ, Sigma Company of USA, Batch No. S-0130). METHODS: This study was carried out in the Animal Experimental Center and Central Laboratory, Yueyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese & Western Medicine during February 2005 to March 2006. If fasting blood glucose was ≥ 15 mmol/L,sensory nerve and motor nerve conduction velocity of sciatic nerve was obviously slowed, tail-swaying temperature threshold was increased and myelinated nerve fiber of sciatic nerve changed, DPN models were successful. The successful model rats were randomly assigned into 3 groups: model group, control group(electroacupuncture at non-meridian-non-acupoint)and electroacupuncture group [electroacupuncture at Zusan/i and Shenshu points], with 15 rats each. The rats in the normal group and model group were untouched. In the electroacupuncture group (electroacupuncture at Zusanfi and Shenshu points), Shenshu point (double) and Zusanfi point (double) were chosen referencing to The Atlas of the Rat's Acupoints. G6805- Ⅱ electric acupuncture apparatus was used, and current intensity was controlled at 20 min/time, once every other day, 12 times within 24 days. In the control group, the tip of rat-tail was stimulated, and the concrete procedures were the same as in the electroacupuncture at Zusanfi and Shenshu points. (2) Motor nerve conduction velocity and sensory nerve conduction velocity of rats were detected with neuroelectrophysiology detector in the end of the treatment, and the expressions of CGT protein and mRNA of sciatic nerve were detected with immunohistochemical method and fluorescent quantitative PCR technique. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity. (2) The expression of CGT protein and its mRNA. RESULTS: All the 60 rats entered the stage of result analysis. (1) Comparison of motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of rats after electroacupuncture: Motor nerve conduction velocity of rats in the model group[(31.37±3.69) m/s], control group [(32.74±5.42) m/s] and electroacupuncture group [(41.30 ±1.15) m/s] was significantly lower than that in the normal group [(41.30±1.15) m/s, P 〈 0.01]; The sensory nerve conduction velocity of rats in the model group[(18.17±9.54) m/s], control group [(21.39±5.61) m/s]and electroacupuncture group [(35.81 ±4.59) m/s] was significantly lower than that in the normal group [(46.38± 6.32) m/s,P 〈 0.01]; The motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of electroacupuncture group was significantly higher than that in the model group [(38.04±2.01) m/s vs. (32.74±5.42) m/s,(35.81±4.59) m/s vs. (21.39±5.61) m/s,P 〈 0.01]. (2) Comparison of the expression of CGT protein of sciatic nerve of rats: The number of CGT positive cells of sciatic nerve in model group, control group or electroacupuncture group was significantly smaller than that in normal group [(9 770.33±1 461.73), (10 588.13±1119.52), (27 518.27± 9 078.29), (37 769.67±4 021.81)/μm^2,P 〈 0.01]; The number of CGT positive cells of the sciatic nerve in the electroacupuncture group was significantly larger than that in the model group and control group (P 〈 0.01). The number of CGT positive cells of sciatic nerve was close between control group and electroacupuncture group (P 〉 0.05). (3) Comparison of CGT mRNA expression of sciatic nerve of rats: Ct value of CGT mRNA of sciatic nerve of rats in the model group, control group and electroacupuncture group was significantly higher than that in the normal group (13.75±2.60,14.81±2.80,11.67±1.75,9.30±0.98, P 〈 0.01 ); Ct value of CGT mRNA of sciatic nerve of rats in the electroacupuncture group was significantly lower than that in the model group and control group (P 〈 0.01), and that was close between electroacupuncture group and control group (P 〉 0.05). CONCLUSION : Electroacupuncture at Zusanfi and Shenshu points can increase motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of rats with DPN. It might be associated with up-regulating the expression of CGT mRNA and its protein.展开更多

These results together with the behaviour of the density and neutron logs suggested that these wells are wildcat wells.
文摘The inflection point is an important feature of sigmoidal height-diameter(H-D)models.It is often cited as one of the properties favoring sigmoidal model forms. However, there are very few studies analyzing the inflection points of H-D models. The goals of this study were to theoretically and empirically examine the behaviors of inflection points of six common H-D models with a regional dataset. The six models were the Wykoff(WYK),Schumacher(SCH),Curtis(CUR),HossfeldⅣ(HOS),von Bertalanffy-Richards(VBR),and Gompertz(GPZ)models. The models were first fitted in their base forms with tree species as random effects and were then expanded to include functional traits and spatial distribution. The distributions of the estimated inflection points were similar between the two-parameter models WYK,SCH,and CUR,but were different between the threeparameter models HOS,VBR,and GPZ.GPZ produced some of the largest inflection points.HOS and VBR produced concave H-D curves without inflection points for 12.7%and 39.7%of the tree species.Evergreen species or decreasing shade tolerance resulted in larger inflection points. The trends in the estimated inflection points of HOS and VBR were entirely opposite across the landscape.Furthermore,HOS could produce concave H-D curves for portions of the landscape.Based on the studied behaviors, the choice between two-parameter models may not matter. We recommend comparing seve ral three-parameter model forms for consistency in estimated inflection points before deciding on one.Believing sigmoidal models to have inflection points does not necessarily mean that they will produce fitted curves with one.Our study highlights the need to integrate analysis of inflection points into modeling H-D relationships.

文摘Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations methods,we investigate the electronic structures and topological properties of ternary tellurides NbIrTe_(4),a candidate for type-II Weyl semimetal. We demonstrate the presence of several Fermi arcs connecting their corresponding Weyl points on both termination surfaces of the topological material. Our analysis reveals the existence of Dirac points,in addition to Weyl points, giving both theoretical and experimental evidences of the coexistence of Dirac and Weyl points in a single material. These findings not only confirm NbIrTe_(4) as a unique topological semimetal but also open avenues for exploring novel electronic devices based on its coexisting Dirac and Weyl fermions.

文摘We study the exceptional-point(EP) structure and the associated quantum dynamics in a system consisting of a non-Hermitian qubit and a Hermitian qubit. In addition, we reveal that the competition between the inter-qubit coupling and the intra-qubit driving gives rise to a complex pattern in the EP variation with system parameters.

文摘By considering the negative cosmological constant Λ as a thermodynamic pressure, we study the thermodynamics and phase transitions of the D-dimensional dyonic Ad S black holes(BHs) with quasitopological electromagnetism in Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet(EGB) gravity. Finally, we conclude that these findings shall provide some deep insights into the intriguing thermodynamic properties of the dyonic Ad S BHs with quasitopological electromagnetism in EGB gravity.

文摘Mottness is at the heart of the essential physics in a strongly correlated system as many novel quantum phenomena occur in the metallic phase near the Mott metal–insulator transition. We investigate the Mott transition in a Hubbard model by using the dynamical mean-field theory and introduce the local quantum state fidelity to depict the Mott metal–insulator transition. The local quantum state fidelity provides a convenient approach to determining the critical point of the Mott transition. Additionally, it presents a consistent description of the two distinct forms of the Mott transition points.

文摘BACKGROUND: Based on clinical findings and syndromes, it has been previously shown that therapeutic methods for cerebral palsy can be greatly improved by selecting fewer, but more accurate acupoints. The therapeutic efficacy at these acupoints is better than routine acupuncture and massage.

文摘The Effects of electroacupuncture (EA) at Weiwanxiashu (EX-B3) and Zusanli (ST 36) points on blood glucose (BG) and plasma pancreatic glucagon (PG) contents were dynamically observed in diabetic rabbits induced by Alloxan. It is found that acupuncture at Weiwanxiashu point can significantly lower the BG content and inhibit release of PG; no significant changes in BG and PG are found when acupuncture is given at Zusanli (ST 36) point alone, however BG and PG contents decrease more obviously when acupuncture employed at both Zusanli and Weiwanxiashu, suggesting that Zusanli has a marked synergetic action with Weiwanxiashu.

文摘To meet the ever-increasing traffic demand and enhance the coverage of cellular networks, network densification is one of the crucial paradigms of 5G and beyond mobile networks, which can improve system capacity by deploying a large number of Access Points(APs)in the service area. However, since the energy consumption of APs generally accounts for a substantial part of the communication system, how to deal with the consequent energy issue is a challenging task for a mobile network with densely deployed APs.In this paper,we propose an intelligent AP switching on/off scheme to reduce the system energy consumption with the prerequisite of guaranteeing the quality of service, where the signaling overhead is also taken into consideration to ensure the stability of the network.First, based on historical traffic data,a long short-term memory method is introduced to predict the future traffic distribution,by which we can roughly determine when the AP switching operation should be triggered;second,we present an efficient three-step AP selection strategy to determine which of the APs would be switched on or off;third,an AP switching scheme with a threshold is proposed to adjust the switching frequency so as to improve the stability of the system.Experiment results indicate that our proposed traffic forecasting method performs well in practical scenarios, where the normalized root mean square error is within 10%.Furthermore,the achieved energy-saving is more than 28% on average with a reasonable outage probability and switching frequency for an area served by 40 APs in a commercial mobile network.
文摘Urticaria is a common and frequently encountered disease, which is mainly manifested by extreme pruritus and lumpish eruption of the skin. Acute urticaria with a short disease course can be cured, while the chronic one with repeated attacks is a lingering disorder. In the past few years, 40 cases of urticaria were treated by cupping at the back-shu points of the five zang-organs and Geshu (BL 17). Another 20 cases in the control group were treated with Fang Feng Tong Sheng Wan (防风通圣丸Miraculous Pills of Ledebouriella) and chlorpheniramine maleate. The therapeutic effect in the treatment group was significantly superior to that in the control group. The results are reported as follows.
文摘Forty-five cases of apoplexy were treated by electroacupuncture only at the points of Yin Meridians (i.e. the Hand- and Foot-Taiyin Meridians), and the other 30 cases as the controls were treated only at the points of Yang Meridians (i.e. the Hand- and Foot-Yangming Meridians). The total effective rate was 91.1% in the former and 86.7% in the latter, with no statistically significant difference between the two groups, indicating that acupuncture only at the points of Yin-Meridians is also an effective therapy for apoplexy.

文摘BACKGROUND: Ceramide galactosyltransferase (CGT) protein and mRNA expression defect can cause the abnormal morphology and slowing conduction velocity of peripheral nerve. (1) Fifteen rats were randomly chosen, serving as normal group.AU the other rats were intraperitoneally injected once with STZ to develop experimental diabetic rat models. It might be associated with up-regulating the expression of CGT mRNA and its protein.
