Based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert(LLG)equation,the precession relaxation of magnetization is studied when the external field H is parallel to the uniaxial anisotropic field H_(k).The evolution of three-component magnetization is solved analytically under the condition of H=nH_(k)(n=3,1 and 0).It is found that with an increase of H or a decrease of the initial polar angle of magnetization, the relaxation time decreases and the angular frequency of magnetization increases. For comparison, the analytical solution for H_(k)=0 is also given. When the magnetization becomes stable, the angular frequency is proportional to the total effective field acting on the magnetization. The analytical solutions are not only conducive to the understanding of the precession relaxation of magnetization, but also can be used as a standard model to test the numerical calculation of LLG equation. 展开更多

The resulting micro-Doppler effect is determined by parameters such as the target's motion state and size. A three-dimensional reconstruction method for the precession warhead via the micro-Doppler analysis and inverse Radon transform(IRT) is proposed in this paper. The precession parameters are extracted by the micro-Doppler analysis from three radars, and the IRT is used to estimate the size of targe. The scatterers of the target can be reconstructed based on the above parameters. Simulation experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in this paper. 展开更多

A big enough transverse magnetic field applied to soft magnetic ferrite toroid can magnetize the ferrite to a saturation level in transverse direction and almost completely suppresses magnetic domain structures in the ferrite, the response to the longitudinal alternating electromagnetic field changes from the original domain wall displacements and spin rotations to the precession of magnetization around the transverse field, and the hysteresis loss disappears in the ferrites. Both theoretical and experimental results indicate that the permeability and magnetic loss in the ferrite can be controlled by adjusting the transverse magnetic field.A higher Q value with relatively low permeability can be achieved by increasing the transverse field, which ensures that the ferrite can be operated at high frequencies, with magnetic loss being very low. 展开更多

Although Newtonian gravity and general relativity predicted the precession of Mercury perihelion historically, many improved methods continue to predict the precession of Mercury during recent decades of years. Uncertainties in various predictions and observations suggest that the attribution of Mercury’s precession is still not well understood. This paper argues that the cause of Mercury’s precession is not gravity, but the inertia of material motion left over from the formation of the solar system. According to this inertia theory, the planetary precession is associated with the ratio of total mass-energy density of the system to the mass-energy of the Sun and its change over time. If other factors are not changed with time, the perihelion precession of planets per orbit is proportional to his distance relative to the Sun. The conclusions of this paper can provide more effective factor considerations for the complete description of various astronomical events and phenomena using general relativity equations. 展开更多

The gravitational constant G according to the theory of NEWTON is the most imprecise constant of all physical constants. Moreover, there are a number of phenomena which suggest that this is caused by its invariant nature and the gravitation constant might be in fact a variable. In this article, a possible dependence of the gravitational constant on the distance between the two mass points is determined from the observed values of the perihelion displacement of the planets. However, to fit the observed measurements the 1/r2 dependence is modified to a 1/r2+1/R dependence with “R” as the Rydberg constant. With the proposed new power function, the perihelion precessions of the planets are recalculated and then compared with previous observations as well as the postulated anomaly of Saturn. 展开更多

Spatial precession is a special micro-motion of the spinning-directional target, and the micro-Doppler signature of the cone-shaped target with precession is studied. The micro-motion model of precession is built first, and then the micro-Doppler model is developed based on the proposed concept of micro-motion ma- trix, by which the theoretical formula of micro-Doppler signature of precession is derived. In order to further approach to the actual case, the occlusion effect is firstly considered in micro-Doppler, and the simulated result with occlusion effect is well in accordance with the measured result in microwave anechoic chamber, which suggests that the micro-motion model and micro-Doppler model of precession are both valid. 展开更多

Relativists have exposed various precessions and developed ingenious experiments to verify those phenomena with extreme precisions. The Gravity Probe B mission was designed to study the precessions of the gyroscopes rotating round the Earth in a nearly circular near-Earth polar orbit to demonstrate the geodetic effect and the Lense-Thirring effect as predicted by the general relativity theory. In this paper, we show in a very simple and novel analysis that the precession of the perihelion of Mercury, the Thomas precession, and the precession data (on the de Sitter and Lense-Thirring precessions) collected from the Gravity Probe B mission could easily be explained from classical physics, too. 展开更多

The principle and method of the narrow-band tomo-graphic radar imaging (NBTRI) of the precession cone target are studied. Firstly, the motion model and electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the precession cone target are introduced. Secondly, based on the traditional NBTRI algorithm, a novel narrow-band tomography clean radar imaging (NBTCRI) algorithm is proposed to enhance the image quality of NBTRI results. In addition, the resolution performance of the NBTRI algorithm is analyzed. Finally, based on the ideal scattering point model, this paper discusses the relationship between the precession angle and the estimated target size from NBTRI results. By using the target's chamber data, NBTRI and NBTCRI results of the precession cone target are further analyzed, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Imaging the spatial precession cone-shaped targets with narrowband radar is a new technical approach in mid-course recognition problem. However, most existing time-frequency methods still have some inevitable deficiencies for extracting microDoppler information in practical applications, which leads to blurring of the image. A new narrowband radar imaging algorithm for the precession cone-shaped targets is proposed. The instantaneous frequency of each scattering point is gained by using the improved Hilbert-Huang transform, then the positions of scattering points in the parameter domain are reconstructed. Numerical simulation and experiment results confirm the effectiveness and high precision of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

We present here a simple and novel proposal for the modulation and rhythm of ice-ages and interglacials during the late Pleistocene. While the standard Milankovitch-precession theory fails to explain the long intervals between interglacials, these can be accounted for by a novel forcing and feedback system involving CO2, dust and albedo. During the glacial period, the high albedo of the northern ice sheets drives down global temperatures and CO2 concentrations, despite subsequent precessional forcing maxima. Over the following millennia more CO2 is sequestered in the oceans and atmospheric concentrations eventually reach a critical minima of about 200 ppm, which combined with arid conditions, causes a die-back of temperate and boreal forests and grasslands, especially at high altitude. The ensuing soil erosion generates dust storms, resulting in increased dust deposition and lower albedo on the northern ice sheets. As northern hemisphere insolation increases during the next Milankovitch cycle, the dust-laden ice-sheets absorb considerably more insolation and undergo rapid melting, which forces the climate into an interglacial period. The proposed mechanism is simple, robust, and comprehensive in its scope, and its key elements are well supported by empirical evidence. 展开更多

Vortices motion in the anisotropic turbulent flow of cyclones makes a vital impact on flow stability and collection performance.Nevertheless, there remains a lack of clarity in the overall feature of vortices motion. In this work,a numerical analysis was conducted to clarify the complex motion of the vortex core in a cyclone separator. The validity of the numerical model was demonstrated by comparing the computational results with experimental data in the literature. As revealed by the results, the vortex core not only has a precession motion about the geometrical center axis but also does a nutation motion in the axial direction. The frequencies of the precession motions show two main peaks. And the magnitudes of the precession and nutation motions have non-uniform distributions in the cyclone. Moreover, the precession-nutation motions of the vortex cores exhibit a similar fluctuant pattern to the dust ring on the separator wall. The inlet gas velocity and the inlet solid loading show vital effects on the magnitudes and frequencies of precession and nutation motion. 展开更多

Spin-polarized transport through a precessing magnetic spin coupled to ferromagnetic electrodes is studied using a non-equilibrium Green's function approach. The characteristic of conductance is obtained at zero temperature. We find that competition between spin-exchange interaction on the spin site and spin-orbit interaction in the barriers dominates the resonant behavior of conductance. In a parallel configuration, conductance peaks have identical amplitude. With the angle θ increasing, the width of resonant peaks is broadened or narrowed for different spin coherent states. In an anti-parallel case, spin-flip tunneling in the barriers will essentially enhance amplitude of the conductance peak. 展开更多

The approach was “abandoned” mainly because it predicted only half of Mercury’s precession. Here we will revisit this method and see how a small logical extension can lead to a relativistic Newtonian theory that predicts the perihelion precession of Mercury correctly. 展开更多

In this paper, the phenomena of Earth’s motion about its own axis, the ecliptic plane of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, the definitions of equinoxes, the precession of equinoxes, Earth’s wobble and other astronomical terminology are briefly described. Some of the existing theories explaining the precession of equinox and their inadequacies are brought out. New Hypothesis is that precession of equinoxes is a direct result of Orbital spin of Earth in a retrograde direction—a celestial phenomenon similar to that of Moon’s Orbital spin around the Earth. The study of Moon’s orbit round the Earth reveals the exact movement of Earth’s orbit, which causes precession of equinoxes without any ambiguity. The analogy presented herein demonstrates the plausible hypothesis. 展开更多

We determine nonlinear transformations between coordinate systems which are mutually in a constant symmetrical accelerated motion. The maximal acceleration limit follows from the kinematical origin and it is an analogue of the maximal velocity in special relativity. We derive the dependence of mass, length, time, Doppler effect, Cerenkov effect and transition radiation angle on acceleration as an analogue phenomenon in special theory of relativity. The last application of our method is the Thomas precession by uniform acceleration and equivalent gravity with the possible role in modern physics and cosmology. 展开更多

The relativistic precession of Mercury -43.1 seconds of arc per century, is the result of a secular addition of 5.02×10-7 rad. at the end of every orbit around the Sun. The question that arises in this paper, is to analyse the angular precession at each single point of the elliptic orbit and determine its magnitude and oscillation around the mean value, comparing key theoretical proposals. Underline also that, this astronomical determination has not been yet achieved, so it is considered that Messenger spacecraft, now orbiting the planet or the future mission BepiColombo, should provide an opportunity to perform it. That event will clarify some significant issues, now that we are close to reach the centenary of the formulation and first success of General Relativity. 展开更多

There are two ways of expressing the precession of orbital plane of a binary pulsar system, given by Barker & O'Connell, Apostolatos et al. and Kidder, respectively. We point out that these two ways actually come from the same Lagrangian under different degrees of freedom. Damour & Schaefer and Wex Kopeikin applied Barker & O'Connell's orbital precession velocity in pulsar timing measurement. This paper applies Apostolatos et al.'s and Kidder's orbital precession velocity. We show that Damour & Schaefer's treatment corresponds to negligible Spin-Orbit induced precession of periastron, while Wex & Kopeikin and this paper both found significant (but not equivalent) effects. The observational data of two typical binary pulsars, PSR J2051-0827 and PSR J1713+0747, apparently support a significant Spin-Orbit coupling effect. Specific binary pulsars with orbital plane nearly edge on could discriminate between Wex & Kopeikin and this paper: if the orbital period derivative of the double-pulsar system PSRs J0737-3039 A and B, with orbital inclination angle i=87.7-29^+17 deg, is much larger than that of the gravitational radiation induced one, then the expression in this paper is supported, otherwise Wex &= Kopeikin's is supported. 展开更多

According to Xiaodong Song et al.’s study about difference rotation in the Earth’s inner core, a physical model of lunar motion changing the angular momentum of the Earth’s circles is presented in this work. The Lunar motion makes there be a huge gap existing in the core angular momentum between far lunar hemisphere and near lunar hemisphere. The gap results in the difference rota-tion in the Earth’s inner core, meanwhile, it increases the angular velocity of far lunar hemisphere and decreases the angular velocity of near lunar hemisphere. The Earth’s liquid outer core gene-rates an astro-geodynamical effect including the difference rotation among the Earth’s circles. It is found that when the moon moves into the apogee or the perigee of the lunar orbit, and the moon phase is the upper and lower chords (i.e. semi-diameter place), the true anomaly of the moon will change from 270-degree back (or forward) to 90-degree;this results in the mantle shell of the Earth westward, and forms lunisolar precession, the vernal equinox westward and Chandler polar motion. 展开更多

The bore or the hydraulic jump is the main concentration. The experimental results are varied;this includes velocity results and geometrical ones related to the depths, phases, and lengths. For the geometrical ones a Coupled-Charged Device Camera (CCD) is used to extract pictures, those enable us to get quantitative and qualitative results. For the velocity results, Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) is used to extract the velocity signals under the bore surface, after analyzing them it turned out that they have Cnoidal form, thus a new BBM model is derived, which is exactly as the one derived by Peregrine (1966), the only difference is the forcing gravity term, this model is solved analytically after omitting this gravity term as it is considered small, and the solution is compared with the real signals with good match. Finally, a new relationship that connects between the conjugate depths after and before the bore is derived which has time-space dependency due to the Centrifugal effect, it was also used and compared with some experimental results. 展开更多
