In this study, we conducted field experiments using different planting modes, which were basic productivity(CK), farmer practice(FP), high yield and high efficiency(HH), and super high yield(SH), to estimate the yield gap. Different factorial experiments(fertilizer, planting density, hybrids, and irrigation) were also conducted to evaluate the priority of individual management factors for reducing the yield gap between the different planting modes. We found significant differences between the maize yields of different planting modes. The treatments of CK, FP, HH, and SH achieved 54.26, 58.76, 65.77, and 71.99% of the yield potential, respectively. The yield gaps between three pairs: CK and FP, FP and HH, and HH and SH, were 0.76, 1.23 and 0.85 t ha^(–1), respectively. By further analyzing the priority of management factors for reducing the yield gap between FP and HH, as well as HH and SH, we found that the priorities of the management factors(contribution rates) were plant density(13.29%)>fertilizer(11.95%)>hybrids(8.19%)>irrigation(4%) for FP to HH, and hybrids(8.94%)>plant density(4.84%)>fertilizer(1.91%) for HH to SH. Therefore, increasing the planting density of FP was the key factor for decreasing the yield gap between FP and HH, while choosing hybrids with density and lodging tolerance was the key factor for decreasing the yield gap between HH and SH.展开更多

Kuhn is one of the leading philosophers and historians of science that investigated in-depth cases of simultaneous discoveries in science. Although his analysis of the discovery of energy conservation and oxygen did not focus sharply on the priority disputes involved, it is within such contexts that controversy about which scientist was the first to make a discovery takes place. Evidently, Kuhn's recourse to historical case studies is a clear departure from the standpoint of traditional mainstream philosophies of science (namely, logical positivism and falsificationism), which cavalierly dismissed such concerns as irrelevant to philosophical reconstructions of science Challenges to orthodox logistic approaches were prompted by the realisation that the two dominant traditions mentioned above, in their excessive preoccupation with "the logical skeleton of science", have lost contact with real science. As a contribution to what Michael Polanyi referred to as post-critical philosophy, the present study reanalyses the tension-generating potentials of bipolar values shared by members of scientific communities. It traces the origins of the rebellion against logic-dominated philosophies of science, and identifies different post-positivist approaches that have eme^rged over the years which legitimise broadening the frontiers of the philosophy of science. Consequent upon that, some conflicting values or norms shared by members of scientific communities and how they affect the quest for scientific knowledge are underscored. Using as a case study the acrimonious priority dispute between Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz concerning the discovery of calculus, the paper demonstrates that excessive concern for recognition which sometimes leads to protracted priority disputes tends to bring out the worst kind of behaviours towards colleagues even from the greatest scientists. We submit, by way of conclusion, that despite the heroic (almost god-like) reputation of such scientists, they are human and, therefore, subject to the vicissitudes of emotional turbulence just like everyone else.展开更多

The aim of the study is to identify bacteria listed as WHO priority organisms associated with meat from Kwata abattoir in Awka, Anambra state. The study was carried out over a three (3) months period from September to December 2022. Thirteen samples were collected from the floor, table, water, meat, knife and soil in the abattoir. The samples were cultured using streak and spread plate methods on MacConkey and Cetrimide agar. The isolates were identified with the following biochemical tests: catalase, oxidase, citrate and indole tests. Ampiclox levofloxacin, gentamicin, ofloxacin impenem ceftraixone, cefixime, cefuroxime and nitrofurantoin were used for sensitivity test following Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method and biofilm formation was determined using the tube method. The 75 isolates obtained were identified as follows;29.3% E. coli, 26.7% Klebsiella spp., 16% Proteus spp., and 28% Pseudomonas spp. The result of antibiotics sensitivity test interpreted using the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) breakpoints showed that (98%) of the isolates were resistant to the antibiotics used. Test for biofilm formation with 52 isolates showed 31 strong, 12 moderate and 9 weak biofilm formers. The result of this study confirms the presence of bacteria contaminants within the WHO priority list in the abattoir, as such there is need for improved handling of animals. Slaughtering, cleaning and distribution of meat should be done using aseptic procedures. .展开更多

Given the constantly changing and dynamic characteristics of air and space networks, along with the sheer number and complexity of access nodes involved, the process of rapid networking presents substantial challenges. In order to achieve rapid and dynamic networking of air-space-ground integrated networks, this paper focuses on the study of methods for large-scale nodes to randomly access satellites. This paper utilizes a cross-layer design methodology to enhance the access success probability by jointly optimizing the physical layer and medium access control(MAC) layer aspects. Load statistics priority random access(LSPRA) technology is proposed.Experiments show that when the number of nodes is greater than 1 000, this method can also ensure stable access performance, providing ideas for the design of air-space-ground integrated network access systems.展开更多

文摘This paper presents a Dynamic Cross-layer Data Queue Management approach (DC-DQM) based on priority to address the priority deviation problem in Delay-Tolerant Mobile Sensor Networks (DT-MSNs). Receiver-driven data delivery scheme is used for fast response to data transfers, and a priority based interaction model is adopted to identify the data priority. Three interactive parameters are introduced to prioritize and dynamically manage data queue. The experimental results show that it can ameliorate data delivery ratio and achieve good performance in terms of average delay.
文摘Under the background of"people-oriented"thought and"green transportation",the idea of"priority for non-motor vehicles"came into being, which can improve the riding environment of non-motor vehicle riders to a certain extent.According to the current situation of priority for non-motor vehicles in the old urban area of Nanchang, through field investigation, questionnaire investigation and interview, this study summarized the existing problems, and put forward optimization suggestions for these problems,in order to provide reference for areas with similar conditions.

文摘The abattoir is one of the important sectors in the food industry, therefore the need for close monitoring of everything concerning it to minimize microbial contamination. Slaughtering, cleaning and distribution of meat should be done using aseptic procedures. .
文摘To detect and respond to emerging diseases more effectively,an integrated surveillance strategy needs to be applied to both human and animal health.Current programs in Asian countries operate separately for the two sectors and are principally concerned with detection of events that represent a short-term disease threat. It is not realistic to either invest only in efforts to detect emerging diseases,or to rely solely on event-based surveillance.A comprehensive strategy is needed, concurrently investigating and managing endemic zoonoses, studying evolving diseases which change their character and importance due to influences such as demographic and climatic change, and enhancing understanding of factors which are likely to influence the emergence of new pathogens. This requires utilisation of additional investigation tools that have become available in recent years but are not yet being used to full effect. As yet there is no fully formed blueprint that can be applied in Asian countries.Hence a three-step pathway is proposed to move towards the goal of comprehensive One Health disease surveillance and response.
文摘Energy saving, emission reduction and economic development are major issues China has to meet in building a harmonious society. On one hand,China should pursue a sustainable, fast and sound economic development,on the other hand, she should try to decrease the overuse of energy resources and the environ- mental problems caused by the rapid economic growth. In this regard,on June 24,the Standing Committee of National People's Congress deliberated the draft of Energy Saving Law,according to which China is to take"resources saving"as a basic national policy. This is a key issue to the long-term benefits of China. With relevant questions,China's Foreign Trade interviewed Dr, Yonglong L(?),Secretary-general,Chinese Committee for SCOPE(Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment/ICSU).and Research Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Let's listen to Dr.L(?)'s comments with wisdom.

文摘In today's world where everything is interconnected, air-space-ground integrated networks have become a current research hotspot due to their characteristics of high, long and wide area coverage. Load statistics priority random access(LSPRA) technology is proposed.Experiments show that when the number of nodes is greater than 1 000, this method can also ensure stable access performance, providing ideas for the design of air-space-ground integrated network access systems.
