It mainly introduced and analyzed low carbon development which was addressed as crucial initiative for implementation of LCS in China. A comparative analysis was carried out on concepts and experiences of LCS between China and developed countries. The trends and characteristics of CO2 emissions in China have also been analyzed. Because of large amount of CO2 emissions generated in the production process and relatively small amount of CO2 emissions in the consumption process, China is facing a severe challenge of imbalance in economic growth and CO2 emissions. If the consumption and production pattern of developed countries are duplicated, China is very likely to experience a development pattern of boosting economic growth and improving living standards significantly but meanwhile risking and suffering by large amount of resources consumption and CO2 emissions. Thus, a comprehensive, systematic and scientific scheme for implementing a low carbon society is urgently needed in China. Through literature research, mainstream perspectives of scholars with respect to development of LCS are concluded. In the meantime, CO2 emissions reduction target, carbon taxation and different debated issues are also presented. The achievements, China has rflade, consist of concrete actions taken by local governments, some new policies and regulations for carbon reduction at national level, in particular energy-saving and renewable energy policies proposed in the l lth Five-Year Plan （2005-2010）. Carbon trading markets and carbon capture and starage technology have also made progress in China. When a woman dies, in most African societies, her legacy is usually inherited by the husband, children, and her family. But if a man dies, the widow, usually experiences false accusations of killing her husband to deny her share of her husband＇s properties. This paper examines how the dynamics of cultural practices in Nigeria promotes abuse of inheritance rights of women and discusses the possibilities of using Islamic inheritance rules as a divine solution to the abuse of inheritance rights of women. The research questions as follows： what is the nature of women＇s rights to father＇s estate？ What is the nature of widow＇s right to the husband＇s estate？ What is your perception about the Islamic law of inheritance？ The data for this study were collected using questionnaire and simple percentage was used for the analysis. In this respect, a questionnaire was administered to 220 women who were purposely selected from the three major tribes in Lagos state, Nigeria. The result showed that various cultures in Nigeria favour male child, grant male higher rights to land and other properties and promote abuse of inheritance rights against women.展开更多

Retinopathy of prematurity(ROP)is the leading cause of preventable infant blindness in the world and predominantly affects babies who are born low birth weight and premature.India has the largest number of surviving p...Retinopathy of prematurity(ROP)is the leading cause of preventable infant blindness in the world and predominantly affects babies who are born low birth weight and premature.India has the largest number of surviving preterm births born annually.ROP blindness can be largely prevented if there is a robust screening program which detects treatment requiring disease in time.ROP treatment must be provided within 48 h of reaching this threshold of treatment making it a relative emergency.During the severe acute respiratory syndromecoronavirus disease 2019 pandemic in 2020 ROP screening was disrupted throughout the world due to lockdowns and restriction of movement of these infants,their families,specialists and healthcare workers.The Indian ROP Society issued guidelines for ROP screening and treatment in March 2020,which was aimed at preserving the chain-of-care despite the potential limitations and hazards during the(ongoing)pandemic.This preferred practice guideline is summarized in this manuscript.展开更多
