The next generation space internet (NGSI) is based on all-IP-based mobile network that merges land-based network, sea-based network, sky-based network, spacebased network, deep space-based network together using existing assess network technologies. There are high signal propagation delays, high error rate, bandwidth variation and time-variety in NGSh In order to adapt to various space communication environment constraints and bandwidth variation, we propose a reduced dimension scalable video coding scheme based on CCSDS IDCS algorithm and quality of service (QoS) control method by cross layer design (CLD). The experimental result shows that this new method has better performance than that of existing algorithms, and can be adaptive to the bandwidth variation dynamically. 展开更多

The next-generation optical network is a service oriented network,which could be delivered by utilizing the generalized multiprotocol label switching(GMPLS) based control plane to realize lots of intelligent features such as rapid provisioning,automated protection and restoration(P&R),efficient resource allocation,and support for different quality of service(QoS) requirements.In this paper,we propose a novel stateful PCE-cloud(SPC)based architecture of GMPLS optical networks for cloud services.The cloud computing technologies(e.g.virtualization and parallel computing) are applied to the construction of SPC for improving the reliability and maximizing resource utilization.The functions of SPC and GMPLS based control plane are expanded according to the features of cloud services for different QoS requirements.The architecture and detailed description of the components of SPC are provided.Different potential cooperation relationships between public stateful PCE cloud(PSPC) and region stateful PCE cloud(RSPC) are investigated.Moreover,we present the policy-enabled and constraint-based routing scheme base on the cooperation of PSPC and RSPC.Simulation results for verifying the performance of routing and control plane reliability are analyzed. 展开更多

In this paper,an improved scheme based on DiffServ network is proposed to provide a decentralized coopera-tive QoS management for real-time services'admission control and resources'monitoring.The proposed scheme consists of aQoS Control Server(QoSCS),a Service Management Server(SMS),a Network Management Server(NMS)and routersin the concerned management domain.When an application asks for a service with specific QoS requirements,a series ofcooperation are initiated among these components by means of a suit of signaling protocol.Once a service is admitted,itcan provide required QoS services more effectively than original DiffServ network.Monitoring per-flow states are movedfrom edge routers to the QoSCS server.The prototype implementation and experimental results show that this scheme canprovide enhanced manageability and scalability for providing per-flow management in such a distributed way. 展开更多

Mobile device is an important interactive platform. Due to the limitation of computation, memory, display area and energy, how to realize the efficient and real-time interaction of 3D models based on mobile devices is an important research topic. Considering features of mobile devices, this paper adopts remote rendering mode and point models, and then, proposes a transmission and rendering approach that could interact in real time. First, improved simplification algorithm based on MLS and display resolution of mobile devices is proposed. Then, a hierarchy selection of point models and a QoS transmission control strategy are given based on interest area of operator, interest degree of object in the virtual environment and rendering error. They can save the energy consumption. Finally, the rendering and interaction of point models are completed on mobile devices. The experiments show that our method is efficient. 展开更多
