In order to enable quality-aware web services selection in the process of service composition,this paper first describes the non-functional requirements of service consumers and the quality of elementary service or co...In order to enable quality-aware web services selection in the process of service composition,this paper first describes the non-functional requirements of service consumers and the quality of elementary service or composite service as a quality vector,and then models the QoS(quality of service)-aware composition as a multiple criteria optimization problem in extending directed graph.A novel simulated annealing algorithm for QoS-aware web services composition is presented.A normalizing for composite service QoS values is made,and a secondary iterative optimization is used in the algorithm.Experimental results show that the simulated annealing algorithm can satisfy the multiple criteria and global QoS requirements of service consumers.The algorithm produces near optimum solution with much less computation cost.展开更多
随着云计算技术的普及,云服务数量指数级增长,用户不再满足于功能性需求,服务质量(Quality of Service,QoS)成为比较服务优劣的关键性能指标.如何在动态、复杂的云环境中实时、准确地预测服务质量并为用户推荐高质量服务成为热点问题....随着云计算技术的普及,云服务数量指数级增长,用户不再满足于功能性需求,服务质量(Quality of Service,QoS)成为比较服务优劣的关键性能指标.如何在动态、复杂的云环境中实时、准确地预测服务质量并为用户推荐高质量服务成为热点问题.考虑到云服务器的负载、网络状态、用户接入云环境的偏好等随着时间变化,本文提出了基于多源特征和多任务学习的时序QoS预测方法(T-MST),它可以实时、准确地同时预测多种QoS属性.首先,TMST对用户、服务进行特征表示,通过Time2Vec刻画时序特征,再结合多种QoS属性的历史记录生成多源特征表示.其次,基于滑动窗口采用LSTM感知窗口内的时序关系,借助注意力机制细化窗口内不同时刻的关键性,从而构造待预测时刻的隐藏状态.最后,T-MST采用多任务预测层实现多种QoS属性的同时预测,它们共享上游模型,仅在预测层采用不同的感知模块以提升模型的鲁棒性和计算效率.本文基于真实世界的数据集进行了全面的实验验证,结果表明T-MST在吞吐量和响应时间的时序预测任务上平均绝对误差(Mean Absolute Error,MAE)分别平均提升了37.53%和20.38%,优于现有的时序QoS预测方法;而且TMST的计算效率更高,能够有效应对实时QoS预测的需求.展开更多

In an era where digital technology is paramount, higher education institutions like the University of Zambia (UNZA) are employing advanced computer networks to enhance their operational capacity and offer cutting-edge...In an era where digital technology is paramount, higher education institutions like the University of Zambia (UNZA) are employing advanced computer networks to enhance their operational capacity and offer cutting-edge services to their academic fraternity. Spanning across the Great East Road campus, UNZA has established one of the most extensive computer networks in Zambia, serving a burgeoning community of over 20,000 active users through a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). However, as the digital landscape continues to evolve, it is besieged with burgeoning challenges that threaten the very fabric of network integrity—cyber security threats and the imperatives of maintaining high Quality of Service (QoS). In an effort to mitigate these threats and ensure network efficiency, the development of a mobile application to monitor temperatures in the server room was imperative. According to L. Wei, X. Zeng, and T. Shen, the use of wireless sensory networks to monitor the temperature of train switchgear contact points represents a cost-effective solution. The system is based on wireless communication technology and is detailed in their paper, “A wireless solution for train switchgear contact temperature monitoring and alarming system based on wireless communication technology”, published in the International Journal of Communications, Network and System Sciences, vol. 8, no. 4, pp. 79-87, 2015 [1]. Therefore, in this study, a mobile application technology was explored for monitoring of temperatures in the server room in order to aid Cisco device performance. Additionally, this paper also explores the hardening of Cisco device security and QoS which are the cornerstones of this study.展开更多

In the Internet, a group of replicated servers is commonly used in order to improve the scalability of network service. Anycast service is a new network service that can improve network load distribution and simplify ...In the Internet, a group of replicated servers is commonly used in order to improve the scalability of network service. Anycast service is a new network service that can improve network load distribution and simplify certain applications. In this paper, the authors described a simple anycast service model in the Internet without significant affecting the routing and protocol processing infrastructure that was already in place, and proposed an anycast QoS routing algorithm for this model. The algorithm used randomized method to balance network load and improve its performance. Several new techniques are proposed in the algorithm, first, theminimum hops for each node are used in the algorithm, which are used as metric for computing the probability of possible out links. The metric is pre computed for each node in the network, which can simplify the network complexity and provide the routing process with useful information. Second, randomness is used at the link level and depends dynamically on the routing configuration. This provides great flexibility for the routing process, prevents the routing process from overusing certain fixed routing paths, and adequately balances the delay of the routing path. the authors assess the quality of QoS algorithm in terms of the acceptance ratio on anycast QoS requests, and the simulation results on a variety of network topologies and on various parameters show that the algorithm has good performances and can balance network load effectively.展开更多

Industry Web service standards lack QoS expression. The support for QoS based service choice-making is very limited. We proposed an extended Web service QoS model based on configurable fuzzy synthetic evaluation system. Web service QoS is evaluated dynamically according to the service context. A QoS requirement description model is also given for service QoS requirement definition. The MSPs, also called military organization clouds, are virtualized and encapsulated by the services they can offer and each of them contains different kinds of resources that MSU needs. The MSPs are also geographically dispersed. They are required to allocate their resources to the MSU complying with the corresponding quality of service(QoS), so that each MSU gathers the services it needs to guarantee its task to be implemented. The outline of military organization cloud cooperation is discussed and the method of service optimal selection is proposed based on QoS evaluation. The QoS evaluation method based on exponential approximation is put forward to include the users' will. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多
