A simple quasi-geostrophic barotropic vorticity equation model is used as the dynamic frame of the model in this paper.Considering that there are many random errors in model's initial values of meteorolo- gical data, and that it is not perfectly complete about model's physical processes (for example, take no ac- count of the interaction between atmosphere and underlying surface, radiation, etc.),we add the random for- ced term to the model and use the Monte-Carlo method with random initial values.A statistical-dynamic integrated model is thus built up,and a numerical forecasting experiment of 500hPa monthly mean height field of January 1983 has been carried out.The experiment result proves that the forecasting result of the model, considering random forcing and random initial values at the same time,is better than that by the pure dynamic model, the random initial value model and the random forced model. 展开更多

In this paper,we consider the initial-boundary value problem for the large scale three-dimensional(3D)viscous primitive equations under random force.Assuming that the random force and the heat source satisfy the some assumptions,we firstly establish rigorous a priori bounds with coefficients which depend only on boundary data, initial data and the geometry of the problem, and then with the aid of these a priori bounds, the continuous dependence of the solution on changes in the heat source is obtained. 展开更多

Cutterhead loads are the key mechanical parameters for the strength design of the full face hard rock tunnel boring machine(TBM).Due to the brittle rock-breaking mechanism, the excavation loads acting on cutters fluctuate strongly and show some randomness. The conventional method that using combinations of some special static loads to perform the strength design of TBM cutterhead may lead to strength failure during working practice. In this paper,a three-dimensional finite element model for coupled Cutterhead–Rock is developed to determine the cutterhead loads. Then the distribution characteristics and the influence factors of cutterhead loads are analyzed based on the numerical results. It is found that,as time changes, the normal and tangential forces acting on cutters and the total torque acting on the cutterhead approximately distribute log normally, while the total thrusts acting on the cutterhead approximately show a normal distribution.Furthermore, the statistical average values of cutterhead loads are proportional to the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cutting rocks. The values also change with the penetration and the diameter of cutterhead following a power function.Based on these findings,we propose a three-parameter model for the mean of cutterhead loads and a method of generating the random cutter forces. Then the strength properties of a typical cutterhead are analyzed in detail using loads generated by the new method. The optimized cutterhead has been successfully applied in engineering. The method in this paper may provide a useful reference for the strength design of TBM cutterhead. 展开更多

The spectral properties of nonlinear drag forces of random waves on vertical circular cylinders are analyzed in this paper by means of nonlinear spectral analysis. The analysis provides basic parameters for estimation of the characteristic drag forces. Numerical computation is also performed for the investigation of the effects of nonlinearity of the drag forces. The results indicate that the wave drag forces calculated by linear wave theory are larger than those calculated by the third order Stokes wave theory for given waves. The difference between them increases with wave height. The wave drag forces calculated by use of linear approximation are about 5% smaller than their actual values when measured in the peak values of spectral densities. This will result in a safety problem for the design of offshore structures. Therefore, the nonlinear effect of wave drag forces should be taken into consideration in design and application of important offshore structures. 展开更多
