The electric field, the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and the stresses in the vacuum feedthrough are studied. A method using the rings of oxygen-free copper as the cushion and macro- beam plasma arc welding is applied in the assembly to protect the ceramic from being damaged during welding. The vacuum leak test on the prototype of vacuum feedthrough is introduced.展开更多

This antenna consists of four toroidally spaced radiating straps. The electrical characteristics of the new antenna are estimated by using a three-dimensional electromagnetic commercial code. The S-parameters, RF current distribution and electromagnetic field distribution on and near the 4-strap antenna are analyzed, and the RF potentials influenced by antenna phasing and radial position are investigated.展开更多

The proposed MTM structure is designed at a height of 0.8 mm from the ground plane with almost 2 GHz bandwid...Design of new metamaterial (MTM) traveling-wave antenna with “d-formed” left-handed structure is proposed. The proposed MTM structure is designed at a height of 0.8 mm from the ground plane with almost 2 GHz bandwidth. The most interesting feature of the design is the ability of enhancing the gain and total efficiency of the antenna without negative effects of the other important parameters like bandwidth. By using the “d-shaped” MTM structure and printed planar technique, the bandwidth of the MTM traveling-wave antenna is significantly increased at a resonant frequency of 6 GHz and also a foot print area reduction of the antenna structure is provided. Antenna size is 7.2 × 5 × 0.8 mm3. The proposed antenna is suitable for RF portable devices operating at 6 GHz.展开更多
The filter and antenna are two key components of the radio frequency(RF)front-end.When the antenna is directly connected with the filter,additional mismatch losses will be caused.Therefore,the antenna and filter are i...The filter and antenna are two key components of the radio frequency(RF)front-end.When the antenna is directly connected with the filter,additional mismatch losses will be caused.Therefore,the antenna and filter are integrated into a single device to provide both filtering and radiating functions.In this way,many advantages,like low cost,light weight,small size and lower insertion loss can be obtained.In this paper,the co-design approaches of RF filter-antenna are reviewed.Based on the open literatures,the integrated approaches of filtering antenna can be classified into five main categories:1)Co-design by optimizing the interfacing impedance,2)co-design according to the synthesis approach of filter,3)co-design by embedding novel resonators within the feeding structures,4)co-design by employing auxiliary physical structures,and 5)other methods.The RF filter-antenna system can improve the integration degree of RF frontend,reduce its size and cost,and optimize its performance.展开更多

Simultaneously, as one of the parts of ion beam technology, the developments of ion beam sources have some important effects to content the demands of ion beam technology such as large ion beam flux, excellent optical qualities.
