Methods: A total of 60 Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, Danshen group, and control group, with 15 in each group. After the lumbar radiculitis model was established, the model group, the Danshen group and the control group were treated with saline, Danshen injection and Adenocobalamin injection (once a day for 2 weeks), respectively. The normal group was without any intervention. On the 1st, 7th, 14th and 30th day after the operation, the gait and tactile scores of rats were measured, and electrophysiology was measured on the 30th day. The plasma levels of β-endorphin and adrenocorticotropic hormone were measured by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay on the 7th,14th and 30th day. Results: Compared with the model group, the gait and tactile scores, the β-endorphin content in plasma and nerve conduction velocity of the Danshen group and the control group were increased (P<0.05), and the adrenocorticotropic hormone content was decreased (P<0.05). The Danshen group was slightly better than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Danshen injection is safe and effective in the treatment of lumbar radiculitis in rats. It may play a therapeutic role by regulating the expression ofβ-endorphin and adrenocorticotropic hormone.展开更多
