Using ontology database, this architecture can realize intelligent knowledge retrieval and automatic accomplishment of DM tasks by means of ontology services. Its key features include:①Describing DM ontology and meta-data using ontology based on Web ontology language (OWL).② Ontology reasoning function. Based on the existing concepts and relations, the hidden knowledge in ontology can be obtained using the reasoning engine. Modeling and reasoning on domain contexts play a key role for adding intelligence to communication services, and the approach of capability-based requirement engineering ensures the scientificity and accuracy of requirement elicitation. This paper presents a capability-based context ontology modeling approach for command and control, communication, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance(C^4ISR) communication. Primarily, a capability-based C^4ISR communication meta-concept model and a C^4ISR communication context meta-ontology are constructed. The context ontology is established under the constraints of the C^4ISR communication context meta-ontology, and furthermore, algorithms are proposed to support context reasoning based on description logic. A case study is presented to demonstrate applicability of the proposed method. 展开更多

Finding the right spatially aware web service in a heterogeneous distributed environment using criteria such as service type,version,time,space,and scale has become a challenge in the integration of geospatial information services.A new method for retrieving Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC)Web Service(OWS)that deals with this challenge using page crawling,link detection,service capability matching,and ontology reasoning,is described in this paper.Its major components are distributed OWS,the OWS search engine,the OWS ontology generator,the ontology-based OWS catalog service,and the ontology-based multi-protocol OWS client.Experimental results show that the execution time of this proposed method equals only 0.26 of that of Nutch’s method.In addition,the precision is much higher.Moreover,this proposed method can carry out complex OWS reasoning-based queries.It is being used successfully for the Antarctica multi-protocol OWS portal of the Geo-Information Web Service Portal of the Polar. 展开更多

Policy conflicts may cause substantial economic losses.Although a large amount of effort has been spent on detecting intra-domain policy conflict,it can not detect conflicts of heterogeneous policies.In this paper,considering background knowledge,we propose a conflict detection mechanism to search and locate conflicts of heterogeneous policies.First,we propose a general access control model to describe authorization mechanisms of cloud service and a translation scheme designed to translate a cloud service policy to an Extensible Access Control Markup Language(XACML)policy.Then the scheme based on Multi-terminal Multi-data-type Interval Decision Diagram(MTMIDD)and Extended MTMIDD(X-MTMIDD)is designed to represent XACML policy and search the conflict among heterogeneous policies.To reduce the rate of false positives,the description logic is used to represent XACML policy and eliminate false conflicts.Experimental results show the efficiency of our scheme. 展开更多

It is the keystone to enable a system to possess the perception ca- pacity and adapt its functionality properly for different situa- tions. However, a context model focusing on the characteris- tics of work-based learning is not well studied by pioneering researchers. For addressing this issue, in this work we firstly analyze several existing context models to identify the essen- tials of context modelling, whereby a hierarchical ontology context model is proposed to characterize work-based learn- ing. Subsequently, we present the application of the proposed model in work-based learning scenario to provide adapted learning supports to professionals.
