"The Merit Award is presented to a member of the Society of Toxicology in recognition of distinguished contributions to toxicology throughout an entire career in areas such as research, teaching, regulatory activities, consulting and service to the Society" (SOT, 2016a). Dr. Cohen is professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska. He serves in the Depart- ment of Pathology and Microbiology, as well as the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer.
