Sensor signals were received ...Remote monitoring of tools for prediction of tool wear in cutting processes was considered, and a method of implementation of a remote-monitoring system previously developed was proposed. Sensor signals were received and tool wear was predicted in the local system using an ART2 algorithm, while the monitoring result was transferred to the remote system via intemet. The monitoring system was installed at an on-site machine tool for monitoring three kinds of tools cutting titanium alloys, and the tool wear was evaluated on the basis of vigilances, similarities between vibration signals received and the normal patterns previously trained. A number of experiments were carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, and the results show that the wears of finishing-cut tools are successfully detected when the moving average vigilance becomes lower than the critical vigilance, thus the appropriate tool replacement time is notified before the breakage.展开更多

In the scheme,an embedded microprocessor( LPC3250 from NXP) is chosen as the CPU of the embedded server with a linux operation system( OS) environment. The embedded server provides multiple interfaces for supporting various application scenarios. The whole network is based on local area network and adopts the Browser / Server( B / S) model. The monitoring and control node is as a browser endpoint and the remote node with an embedded server is as a server endpoint. Users can easily acquire various sensors information through writing Internet protocol address of remote node on the computer browser. Compared with client / server( C / S) mode,B / S model needs less maintain and can be applicable to large user group. In addition,a simple network management protocol( SNMP) is used for management of devices in Internet protocol( IP) networks. The results of the demonstration experiment show that the proposed system gives good support to manage the network from different user terminals and allows the users to better interact with the ambient environment.展开更多
BACKGROUND Implantable cardioverter defibrillators(ICDs)and cardiac resynchronisation therapy with defibrillators(CRT-D)reduce mortality in certain cardiac patient populations.However,inappropriate shocks pose a probl...BACKGROUND Implantable cardioverter defibrillators(ICDs)and cardiac resynchronisation therapy with defibrillators(CRT-D)reduce mortality in certain cardiac patient populations.However,inappropriate shocks pose a problem,having both adverse physical and psychological effects on the patient.The advances in device technology now allow remote monitoring(RM)of devices to replace clinic follow up appointments.This allows real time data to be analysed and actioned and this may improve patient care.AIM To determine if RM in patients with an ICD is associated with fewer inappropriate shocks and reduced time to medical assessment.METHODS This was a single centre,retrospective observational study,involving 156 patients implanted with an ICD or CRT-D,followed up for 2 years post implant.Both appropriate and inappropriate shocks were recorded along with cause for inappropriate shocks and time to medical assessment.RESULTS RM was associated with fewer inappropriate shocks(13.6%clinic vs 3.9%RM;P=0.030)and a reduced time to medical assessment(15.1±6.8 vs 1.0±0.0 d;P<0.001).CONCLUSION RM in patients with an ICD is associated with improved patient outcomes.展开更多

Background Remote monitoring(RM)is increasingly employed for all types of cardiac implantable devices(CIED).However,there are only limited data on the acceptance of RM by the elderly.The aim of our study was to ascert...Background Remote monitoring(RM)is increasingly employed for all types of cardiac implantable devices(CIED).However,there are only limited data on the acceptance of RM by the elderly.The aim of our study was to ascertain how octogenarians assess RM technologies compared to younger,presumably technically more literate patients,and what concerns or technical problems the system presents to both groups of patients.Methods The trial was designed as a descriptive,register-based single-center study.The study population consisted of all consecutive patients≥80 years of age(group A,n=94)and all consecutive patients aged≤40 years(group B,n=71),who had undergone implantation of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator(ICD)between the years of 2009 and 2018 and were using a Home Monitoring?(HM,Biotronik,Berlin,Germany)system.All patients fulfilling entry criteria were approached with a request to participate in the survey.Results A total of 85(90.4%)and 65(91.5%)valid surveys were obtained for groups A and B,respectively.Ninety-two percent of patients in both groups(P=0.903)were satisfied with the limited number of planned ambulatory follow-ups(i.e.,once a year).All patients in both groups(100%)reported that they were satisfied with the HM system,and 97%and 94%of patients in Groups A and B,respectively,ranked it highly beneficial(P=0.68).A significant proportion of patients in both groups were completely unaware of any health-related benefits associated with the use of the HM system(42%in Group A vs.49%in Group B,P=0.4).Among the most frequently reported personal benefits of HM were a sense of safety and security and savings on travel expenses and time.5%and 9%of patients in Groups A and B,respectively,reported that usage of HM caused them some degree of psychological stress(P=0.27).Nearly all patients in both groups reported receiving information on HM from their doctor after ICD implantation.None of Group A reported receiving information from a nurse either before or after ICD implantation,while 14%of Group B patients reported receiving information from a nurse after,but not before ICD implantation.Seven and 51%(P<0.0001)of patients in Group A and B,respectively,sought additional information about HM post-discharge.Conclusions The HM system received good marks and was much appreciated,even in patients over 80 years of age.The level of acceptance and potential psychological stress resulting from RM technology appears to be about the same in older patients as in younger patients.The majority of octogenarians either did not fully understand the clinical benefits of the system or mistakenly thought that the HM system was a substitute for emergency 24-h surveillance.These results highlight the need for better patient education relative to RM technology,with one option being to delegate more of this educational process to specially trained nurses.展开更多

The spatial and temporal deformation patterns and deformation control indicators of highfill foundations directly affect the design,construction and operational safety of high-fill projects.In situ monitoring can comp...The spatial and temporal deformation patterns and deformation control indicators of highfill foundations directly affect the design,construction and operational safety of high-fill projects.In situ monitoring can comprehensively reflect the deformation of high-fill during and after construction.In this paper,we have first designed and installed an integrated wireless remote monitoring system for high-fill to achieve real-time dynamic monitoring of settlement,pore water pressure and soil pressure of the fill foundation.Based on the monitoring results of nearly one year of the construction period and two years after construction,it was found that the deformation amount and deformation rate of the high-fill foundation showed a non-linear growth relationship with the filling rate and filling height.The settlement deformation of the high-fill foundation during the loading period was mainly dominated by the original foundation soil,accounting for 54.4%of the total settlement on average;the settlement deformation during the post-construction period was mainly dominated by the filling body,accounting for 77.04%of the total settlement on average,and the settlement deformation during the post-construction period mainly occurred in the first year after construction.The analysis of the deformation mechanism suggests that the deformation of the filling body is dominated by exhaust consolidation during the loading period and drainage consolidation during the post-construction period;the deformation of the original foundation soil is dominated by drainage consolidation during the loading period and drainage consolidation develops slowly during the post-construction period.It is recommended that the original foundation should be reinforced before the large area filling construction,and that the filling rate should be strictly controlled during construction.The research results can provide a scientific basis for deformation calculation and stability assessment of high-fill foundations.展开更多

Most traditional maize seeding parameter monitoring devices use wired data transmission.The problems include wiring troubles,short transmission distances.And human-computer interaction display terminals are unique and...Most traditional maize seeding parameter monitoring devices use wired data transmission.The problems include wiring troubles,short transmission distances.And human-computer interaction display terminals are unique and usually customized rather than universal.A remote monitoring system for maize seeding parameters based on Android and wireless communication was developed in this study.The system used a single-chip microcomputer as the main controller and an infrared photoelectric sensor to capture seed information.The Android terminal application was used to set and display the seeder’s seed parameter information and monitor it.The Air202 communication module enabled remote data transmission,while the Global Positioning System(GPS)monitored the speed of the planter.By establishing a message queue telemetry transmission(MQTT)cloud served as a data freight station,data reception,storage and forwarding can be performed.Seeding parameters can generate Excel spreadsheets in real-time for easy data processing and storage.In order to verify the reliability of the system,the seeding parameter monitoring comparison test and the multi-terminal remote monitoring test were designed.The results of the seeding parameter monitoring comparison test showed that the monitoring system of this study had higher monitoring accuracy.The maximum average relative error of seeding parameter monitoring was 0.4%,which had high monitoring accuracy.The multi-terminal remote monitoring test showed that the monitoring system of this research can adapt many types of Android terminals,realize the wireless connection,and realize remote synchronous monitoring at different distances.This study provides a reference for intelligent remote monitoring and intelligent agriculture on unmanned farms.展开更多
The environmental quality of livestock houses is key to livestock breeding and directly affects the growth and health of animals.To target the characteristics of long application cycles and large coverage areas for en...The environmental quality of livestock houses is key to livestock breeding and directly affects the growth and health of animals.To target the characteristics of long application cycles and large coverage areas for environmental monitoring in large-scale livestock breeding,the current study designed a remote monitoring system to provide livestock environmental information based on LoRa wireless ad hoc network technology.The system consisted of collection terminals,control terminals,LoRa gateways,and Alibaba Elastic Compute Service.It realized real-time collection,wireless transmission,storage of multi-sensor node data,and remote control.The system was not limited by the selected time or region,because data interaction was achieved by accessing cloud servers using GPRS technology.Users could browse and obtain data from computers and a WeChat mini program from any location with network coverage.Additionally,the system used the improved receiver-based auto rate(RBAR)rate-adaptive algorithm in the LoRa wireless communication component.After application on a dairy farm,the results showed that the whole system collected 6140 sets of environmental data from four dairy houses.The packet loss rate was less than 1%within a communication distance of 604 m,and the communication success rate was greater than 99%.The control instructions were real-time and accurate,and the response time was less than 10 s,which met the remote control needs of large farms.The system provided powerful data and technical support for precision animal production.展开更多

In the system, various environmental sensors in a greenhouse are used to collect the environmental data of the greenhouse in real time, and the data are exchanged through the wireless communication module and the embedded master WinCE system plat-form in the greenhouse. The host controllers in the main controller of the greenhouse communicate with each other through the TCP/IP protocol, and communicate with the real-time monitoring and management system. The remote control of the greenhouse is performed via the monitoring page. The tests of a PC and mobile phone show that the system is reliable and easy to use, and the expected goals have been achieved in all aspects.

文摘Background Remote monitoring(RM)is increasingly employed for all types of cardiac implantable devices(CIED).However,there are only limited data on the acceptance of RM by the elderly.The aim of our study was to ascertain how octogenarians assess RM technologies compared to younger,presumably technically more literate patients,and what concerns or technical problems the system presents to both groups of patients.Methods The trial was designed as a descriptive,register-based single-center study.The study population consisted of all consecutive patients≥80 years of age(group A,n=94)and all consecutive patients aged≤40 years(group B,n=71),who had undergone implantation of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator(ICD)between the years of 2009 and 2018 and were using a Home Monitoring?(HM,Biotronik,Berlin,Germany)system.All patients fulfilling entry criteria were approached with a request to participate in the survey.Results A total of 85(90.4%)and 65(91.5%)valid surveys were obtained for groups A and B,respectively.Ninety-two percent of patients in both groups(P=0.903)were satisfied with the limited number of planned ambulatory follow-ups(i.e.,once a year).All patients in both groups(100%)reported that they were satisfied with the HM system,and 97%and 94%of patients in Groups A and B,respectively,ranked it highly beneficial(P=0.68).A significant proportion of patients in both groups were completely unaware of any health-related benefits associated with the use of the HM system(42%in Group A vs.49%in Group B,P=0.4).Among the most frequently reported personal benefits of HM were a sense of safety and security and savings on travel expenses and time.5%and 9%of patients in Groups A and B,respectively,reported that usage of HM caused them some degree of psychological stress(P=0.27).Nearly all patients in both groups reported receiving information on HM from their doctor after ICD implantation.None of Group A reported receiving information from a nurse either before or after ICD implantation,while 14%of Group B patients reported receiving information from a nurse after,but not before ICD implantation.Seven and 51%(P<0.0001)of patients in Group A and B,respectively,sought additional information about HM post-discharge.Conclusions The HM system received good marks and was much appreciated,even in patients over 80 years of age.The level of acceptance and potential psychological stress resulting from RM technology appears to be about the same in older patients as in younger patients.The majority of octogenarians either did not fully understand the clinical benefits of the system or mistakenly thought that the HM system was a substitute for emergency 24-h surveillance.These results highlight the need for better patient education relative to RM technology,with one option being to delegate more of this educational process to specially trained nurses.

Using DM642 as the data processing core, the remote monitoring system is composed of video acquisition module, video processing module and communication module, which gives an implementation of class/mini driver module in DSP/BIOS integrated developing environment and also a common task module in application layer is achieved. The system realizes the entire functions of the analog video signal acquisition, H.264 video coding and Internet transmission. It provides the general connection for the future development and has good flexibility and extendibility. The system uses a modular design and overall development of programming methods to improve the efficiency of system development.

文摘In order to improve the management and control requirements of small electric kilns in ceramic production field.According to the excessive dispersion of electric kilns in porcelain production field,a remote monitoring system based on RS485 bus and Modbus protocol is designed.The system consists of data acquisition,field control,cloud monitoring and communication protocol.MCGS is used as the master station to communicate with the temperature controller,collect and transmit the internal data to Siemens PLC.Through the communication between Siemens PLC and IOT gateway,the kiln working data is uploaded to the cloud platform to realize the remote monitoring for ceramic electric kiln.The experimental results showed this system can accurately collect the working temperature and parameters of the kiln in real time,and can remotely cortrol the kiln.

Via the Internet a remote monitoring and diagnosis system can be established. In this paper, the model of an Internet based remote monitoring and diagnosis system is presented; the function of every part of the RMD system is discussed. Then, we introduce a practical example of a remote monitoring and diagnosis system that we established in a factory; its traits and functions are described.

文摘Soil salinization seriously restricts the development of agricultural production,the sustainable use of land resources,and the stability of the ecological environment.In order to objectively reveal the research status of soil salinization,CiteSpace software was used to conduct data mining and quantitative analysis on research papers on soil salinization from 2008 to 2023 in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of science databases.The data sources were transformed into visual graphs by reproducing clustering statistics from aspects such as publication volume,authors,keywords,and publishing institutions.In addition,this paper also combined the actual needs and cutting-edge hotspots in relevant research in China,and proposed and analyzed the limitations and future development trends of soil salinity monitoring research in China.This has important practical significance for comprehensively grasping the current research status of salinization,further clarifying and sorting out the research ideas of salinization monitoring,enriching the remote sensing monitoring methods of saline soil,and solving the actual problems of soil salinization in China.

文摘The spatial and temporal deformation patterns and deformation control indicators of highfill foundations directly affect the design,construction and operational safety of high-fill projects.In situ monitoring can comprehensively reflect the deformation of high-fill during and after construction.In this paper,we have first designed and installed an integrated wireless remote monitoring system for high-fill to achieve real-time dynamic monitoring of settlement,pore water pressure and soil pressure of the fill foundation.Based on the monitoring results of nearly one year of the construction period and two years after construction,it was found that the deformation amount and deformation rate of the high-fill foundation showed a non-linear growth relationship with the filling rate and filling height.The settlement deformation of the high-fill foundation during the loading period was mainly dominated by the original foundation soil,accounting for 54.4%of the total settlement on average;the settlement deformation during the post-construction period was mainly dominated by the filling body,accounting for 77.04%of the total settlement on average,and the settlement deformation during the post-construction period mainly occurred in the first year after construction.The analysis of the deformation mechanism suggests that the deformation of the filling body is dominated by exhaust consolidation during the loading period and drainage consolidation during the post-construction period;the deformation of the original foundation soil is dominated by drainage consolidation during the loading period and drainage consolidation develops slowly during the post-construction period.It is recommended that the original foundation should be reinforced before the large area filling construction,and that the filling rate should be strictly controlled during construction.The research results can provide a scientific basis for deformation calculation and stability assessment of high-fill foundations.
文摘Technical and accessibility issues in hospitals often prevent patients from receiving optimal mental and physical health care,which is essential for independent living,especially as societies age and chronic diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease become more common.Recent advances in the Internet of Things(IoT)-enabled wearable devices offer potential solutions for remote health monitoring and everyday activity recognition,gaining significant attention in personalized healthcare.This paper comprehensively reviews wearable healthcare technology integrated with the IoT for continuous vital sign monitoring.Relevant papers were extracted and analyzed using a systematic numerical review method,covering various aspects such as sports monitoring,disease detection,patient monitoring,and medical diagnosis.The review highlights the transformative impact of IoTenabled wearable devices in healthcare,facilitating real-time monitoring of vital signs,including blood pressure,temperature,oxygen levels,and heart rate.Results from the reviewed papers demonstrate high accuracy and efficiency in predicting health conditions,improving sports performance,enhancing patient care,and diagnosing diseases.The integration of IoT in wearable healthcare devices enables remote patient monitoring,personalized care,and efficient data transmission,ultimately transcending traditional boundaries of healthcare and leading to better patient outcomes.

文摘By means of ground survey and "3S" technology,taking Maduo County in three river sources areas as example,the remote sensing model between biomass and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) in sampling points was established after calculating the NDVI distribution of TM image in Maduo County,and the grade distribution map of grassland productivity in Maduo County was obtained according to the grade division of grassland productivity in Qinghai Province,so as to monitor grassland productivity step by step.The results showed that grassland coverage area in Maduo County in 2009 was about 2.22 million hm2,and NDVI was mainly from 0 to 0.5,accounting for 88.64% of total grassland area in Maduo County;there was a significant correlation between biomass and NDVI in sampling point,with the correlation coefficient of above 0.7,and their model could be quantitatively expressed as follows,namely Biomass = 552.632 × NDVI1.137;grassland productivity in Maduo County was 750-3 000 kg/hm2 which occupied 72.1% of total grassland area;the highest grassland productivity in Maduo County was 4 500-6 500 kg/hm2,but it accounted for below 1% of total grassland area.
文摘Remote ECG monitoring systems are becoming commonplace medical devices for remote heart monitoring. In recent years, remote ECG monitoring systems have been applied in the monitoring of various kinds of heart diseases, and the quality of the transmission and re- ception of the ECG signals during remote process kept advancing. However, there remains accompanying challenges. This report focuses on the three components of the remote ECG monitoring system: patient (the end user), the doctor workstation, and the remote server, reviewing and evaluating the imminent challenges on the wearable systems, packet loss in remote transmission, portable ECG monitoring system, pa- tient ECG data collection system, and ECG signals transmission including real-time processing ST segment, R wave, RR interval and QRS wave, etc. This paper tries to clarify the future developmental strategies of the ECG remote monitoring, which can be helpful in guiding the research and development of remote ECG monitoring.
文摘China has a vast territory with abundant crops,and how to collect crop information in China timely,objectively and accurately,is of great significance to the scientific guidance of agricultural development.In this paper,by selecting moderateresolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS)data as the main information source,on the basis of spectral and biological characteristics mechanism of the crop,and using the freely available advantage of hyperspectral temporal MODIS data,conduct large scale agricultural remote sensing monitoring research,develop applicable model and algorithm,which can achieve large scale remote sensing extraction and yield estimation of major crop type information,and improve the accuracy of crop quantitative remote sensing.Moreover,the present situation of global crop remote sensing monitoring based on MODIS data is analyzed.Meanwhile,the climate and environment grid agriculture information system using large-scale agricultural condition remote sensing monitoring has been attempted preliminary.

文摘Most traditional maize seeding parameter monitoring devices use wired data transmission.The problems include wiring troubles,short transmission distances.And human-computer interaction display terminals are unique and usually customized rather than universal.A remote monitoring system for maize seeding parameters based on Android and wireless communication was developed in this study.The system used a single-chip microcomputer as the main controller and an infrared photoelectric sensor to capture seed information.The Android terminal application was used to set and display the seeder’s seed parameter information and monitor it.The Air202 communication module enabled remote data transmission,while the Global Positioning System(GPS)monitored the speed of the planter.By establishing a message queue telemetry transmission(MQTT)cloud served as a data freight station,data reception,storage and forwarding can be performed.Seeding parameters can generate Excel spreadsheets in real-time for easy data processing and storage.In order to verify the reliability of the system,the seeding parameter monitoring comparison test and the multi-terminal remote monitoring test were designed.The results of the seeding parameter monitoring comparison test showed that the monitoring system of this study had higher monitoring accuracy.The maximum average relative error of seeding parameter monitoring was 0.4%,which had high monitoring accuracy.The multi-terminal remote monitoring test showed that the monitoring system of this research can adapt many types of Android terminals,realize the wireless connection,and realize remote synchronous monitoring at different distances.This study provides a reference for intelligent remote monitoring and intelligent agriculture on unmanned farms.

文摘The environmental quality of livestock houses is key to livestock breeding and directly affects the growth and health of animals.To target the characteristics of long application cycles and large coverage areas for environmental monitoring in large-scale livestock breeding,the current study designed a remote monitoring system to provide livestock environmental information based on LoRa wireless ad hoc network technology.The system consisted of collection terminals,control terminals,LoRa gateways,and Alibaba Elastic Compute Service.It realized real-time collection,wireless transmission,storage of multi-sensor node data,and remote control.The system was not limited by the selected time or region,because data interaction was achieved by accessing cloud servers using GPRS technology.Users could browse and obtain data from computers and a WeChat mini program from any location with network coverage.Additionally,the system used the improved receiver-based auto rate(RBAR)rate-adaptive algorithm in the LoRa wireless communication component.After application on a dairy farm,the results showed that the whole system collected 6140 sets of environmental data from four dairy houses.The packet loss rate was less than 1%within a communication distance of 604 m,and the communication success rate was greater than 99%.The control instructions were real-time and accurate,and the response time was less than 10 s,which met the remote control needs of large farms.The system provided powerful data and technical support for precision animal production.
