Research advancement of traditional Chinese medicine in affecting on signaling pathways of osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis(OA)is a common chronic degenerative disease of the bone and joint,which occurs frequently in the middle-aged and old people.The main clinical symptoms are joint pain,stiffness,swelling,and dyskinesia.In recent years,there have been many researches on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of bone and joint,and the therapeutic effect is significant.This paper analyzes and summarizes the domestic and foreign literature in recent years,based on the cellular signaling pathway of OA,discusses the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine monomer,compound,acupuncture and so on for OA,in order to provide the corresponding reference for the research and treatment of OA.

In this paper,the anti-tumor effects of Aconiti Radix were reviewed and summarized,and the clinical feasibility of Aconiti Radix as a potential anti-tumor drug was analyzed,in order to provide a useful reference for the future research and development of new anti-cancer drugs of Aconiti Radix.

Research progress of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer

Gastric cancer(GC)is a malignant tumor originating from the gastric epithelium,and its incidence and mortality rates rank third among all malignant tumors worldwide.It is also one of the most common cancers in China and is treated predominantly by Western medicine in clinical practice.However,with the advancements in medical technology and informatics,the values of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in preventing and treating GC and improving prognosis have increasingly been recognized.According to TCM,clinical manifestations of GC can be divided into Yege(dysphagia),regurgitation,stomach pain,and Zhengxia(abdominal mass).Due to the unbalanced distribution of health care resources in China,most GC patients already have progressive or advanced-stage disease at the first diagnosis.As a result,most GC patients have poor physical function,and surgery or chemotherapy alone will aggravate the impairment to the immune function and seriously affect the quality of life.In contrast,TCM therapies have shown promising efficacy in the management of these patients.Here we review the role of the integrated TCM and Western medicine in treating advanced GC.

Research Status Quo and Future of Low Temperature Wheat Genotypes

Low temperature wheat genotypes are a group of wheat with a slightly low canopy （plant） temperature, and the research on their biological characters and utilization in wheat breeding has been done at home and abroad for more than 20 years, and has made great progress. The research contents and advances include the following respects： Wheat genotypes with slightly low canopy temperature have been verified to exist in nature; these wheat genotypes, which present cold temperature, are superior to conventional wheat materials in some important biological characters and particularly prominently in metabolic function and cellular structure; when they suffer stresses such as drought, high temperature and overcast and rainy weather, they still retain their superiority in some of their important biological characters and therefore have a wide range of ecological adaptability; slightly low canopy temperatures of these genotypes are closely correlated with low temperatures of their second heat sources and their vigorous plants; since their low canopy temperatures can be inherited, they can exert favorable influence on the temperatures of their offspring while crossing with other wheat materials, and in particular, the discovery of cold-source wheat as a contributor to low temperature, has further formed good conditions for breeding high and stable quality low temperature wheat varieties with a high and stable yield. Thus, low temperature wheat genotypes are of great research importance and have great prospects.

Recent progress in Chinese polar upper-atmospheric physics research: review of research advances supported by the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic expeditions

It has been more than 30 years since the first Chinese Antarctic Expedition took place. Polar upper atmospheric observations started at this time. First began at Great Wall Station and then at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, and later in the Arctic at Yellow River Station, Kjell Henriksen Observatory on Svalbard, and at the China-Iceland Joint Aurora Observatory in Iceland. In this paper, we reviewed the advances in polar upper atmosphere physics （UAP） based on the Chinese national Arctic and Antarctic research over the last five years. These included newly deployed observatories and research instruments in the Arctic and Antarctic; and new research findings, from grotmd-based observations, about polar ionosphere dynamics, aurora and particle precipitation, polar plasma convection, geomagnetic pulsations and space plasma waves, space weather in the polar regions, simulations of the polar ionosphere-magnetosphere. In conclusion, suggestions were made for future polar upper atmosphere physics research in China.

Research Advances of Impacts of Climate Changes on Crop Climatic Adaptability

Agriculture received most direct influences from climate changes. Because of climate changes, agricultural climate resources changed and thus influenced climate adaptability of agricultural products. The growth and output of crops were finally affected. The calculation method and application of agricultural products in recent years were summarized. Several questions about the response of agricultural crops to climate elements were proposed for attention.

Research advance in wood composites in China

Wood composites can generally be classified in three parts: laminated composites, mixed composites and penetrated composites. Every part has its own characteristic and can be further divided. This paper introduces the history and the state of development of wood composites in China. The research about glue-laminated timber is rare and the industry hardly comes to being. A great of achievements have been obtained in mixed composites and it is well industrialized. Many studies on scrimber have been done and the Chinese researchers are looking for a feasible way to develop the scrimber industry in China. Chinese researchers also spent so much energy in studying wood plastic composites (WPC), but it has not been industrialized due to the high cost.

Research Advances in Allelopathy of Plants in Arid Desert Regions of Northwest China

To investigate allelopathy of plants in desert ecosystems, related research achievements obtained in recent years, reported allelopathic plants, allelochemicals and releasing ways of alleochemicalds were summarized, and then the key problems of research into allelopathic plants in desert ecosystems were indicated. It was considered that the research of allelopathy of plants in desert regions has just started in China, and plants with atlelopathic potential were found in the Compositae, Leguminosae, Rosaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Gramineae; plants in desert regions re- lease allelochemicals mainly via natural volatilization, which is closely related to their growing environment; allelochemicals such as alkaloids, fla- vonoids, terpenoids have been identified. This study can provide theoretical basis and practical value for reasonable adoption of protection meas- ures of desert plants and comprehensive control of desertification.

Advances in Research of Cutting Breeding Technology of Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge

Cutting breeding is an important method of asexual reproduction of Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge.At present,it has been found that the factors influencing the cuttings of X.sorbifolium mainly include cutting material type,substrate type,cutting season,cutting material length and thickness,mother tree age,cutting material pretreatment method,hormone species concentration and soaking time.Besides,different regions,control conditions,and germplasm types have different cutting rooting rates.This paper introduced some of the problems in the cuttings of X.sorbifolium,and came up with some recommendations to provide a reference for the future research and technical promotion of X.sorbifolium cuttings.

Advances in Researches about Agricultural Modernization in China since the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China

The researches about agricultural modernization have been carried out a long time. Since the 16 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China( CPC),there have been fundamental changes in China's agricultural policies. The works of three rural issues with the development of modern agriculture rapidly became the main topic. The practice promoted researches of agricultural modernization in the connotation,characteristics,path selection,and indicator system construction. With the introduction of simultaneous development of " four modernizations" and coordinated development of " five modernizations",the theoretical researches of China's agricultural modernization have been provided with new connotations. In the existing achievements of " four modernizations" and " five modernizations" containing agricultural modernization,the characteristics,paths,indicator system and evaluation methods of agricultural modernization are constantly enriched.
