Analyzing Research and Development(R&D)trends is important because it can influence future decisions regarding R&D direction. In typical trend analysis, topic or technology taxonomies are employed to compute the popularities of the topics or codes over time.Although it is simple and effective, the taxonomies are difficult to manage because new technologies are introduced rapidly. Therefore, recent studies exploit deep learning to extract pre-defined targets such as problems and solutions.Based on the recent advances in question answering(QA)using deep learning,we adopt a multi-turn QA model to extract problems and solutions from Korean R&D reports. With the previous research,we use the reports directly and analyze the difficulties in handling them using QA style on Information Extraction(IE)for sentence-level benchmark dataset. After investigating the characteristics of Korean R&D,we propose a model to deal with multiple and repeated appearances of targets in the reports.Accordingly,we propose a model that includes an algorithm with two novel modules and a prompt.A newly proposed methodology focuses on reformulating a question without a static template or pre-defined knowledge. We show the effectiveness of the proposed model using a Korean R&D report dataset that we constructed and presented an in-depth analysis of the benefits of the multi-turn QA model. 展开更多

Background Climate change presents an imminent threat to almost all biological systems across the globe. In recent years there have been a series of studies showing how changes in climate can impact infectious disease transmission. Many of these publications focus on simulations based on in silico data, shadowing empirical research based on feld and laboratory data.A synthesis work of empirical climate change and infectious disease research is still lacking. Methods We conducted a systemic review of research from 2015 to 2020 period on climate change and infectious diseases to identify major trends and current gaps of research.Literature was sourced from Web of Science and PubMed literary repositories using a key word search, and was reviewed using a delineated inclusion criteria by a team of reviewers. Results Our review revealed that both taxonomic and geographic biases are present in climate and infectious disease research, specifcally with regard to types of disease transmission and localities studied.Empirical investigations on vector-borne diseases associated with mosquitoes comprised the majority of research on the climate change and infectious disease literature.Furthermore, demographic trends in the institutions and individuals published revealed research bias towards research conducted across temperate,high-income countries. We also identifed key trends in funding sources for most resent literature and a discrepancy in the gender identities of publishing authors which may refect current systemic inequities in the scientifc feld. Conclusions Future research lines on climate change and infectious diseases should considered diseases of direct transmission(non-vector-borne)and more research efort in the tropics.Inclusion of local research in low-and middle-income countries was generally neglected.Research on climate change and infectious disease has failed to be socially inclusive, geographically balanced, and broad in terms of the disease systems studied, limiting our capacities to better understand the actual efects of climate change on health. 展开更多

Background:To illustrate the research framework, overall knowledge structure, and development trends of Chinese medicine(CM)treatment for osteosarcoma(OS)by using a bibliometric analysis and newly developed visualization tools. Methods:Research datasets were acquired from the Web of Science(WOS)database from January 1,1980 to September 30,2019.VOS viewer and Citespace software was used to analyze the data and generate visualization knowledge maps.Annual trends of publications, distribution of institutes, distribution of journals, citation and H-index status,co-authorship status, research hotspots and co-citation status were analyzed. Results:A total of 223 publications in the WOS database met the requirement. The number of published articles showed a rise but the citation frequency and the H-index of China were relatively low.The cooperation between the countries, institutes and authors were relatively weak. Most publications were basic researches. Most of the previous researches focused on basic mechanisms of CM in treating OS,and therapy and improvement of dosage form may become a frontier in this research field. Conclusions:Compared with other fields, the field of CM treatment for osteosarcome is still in infancy. The distribution of researches is imbalanced and cooperation between countries, institutions and authors remains to be strengthened.Furthermore, basic research occupies an absolute dominant position, and the exploration of the molecular mechanism of CM in preventing and treating OS may become a key point in the future. 展开更多
