A.) is 30% , 20% , 10%, 0%, respectively) and Glycol chitosan (GC, D.A. is 0%) were investigated and compared. Results showed that chitosan were similar to salicylic acid (SA), and could induce resistance reaction, but the reaction was influenced by the degree of acetylation of chitosan. Fully deacetylated chitosans, 10B and GC, elicited chitinase activity, but partially acetylated chitosan, 7B, 8B and 9B, inhibited chitinase activity. Phenyalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) was also elicited. Elicitor activity increased with on increasing degree of acetylation, 7B induced highest PAL activity among all chitosans. All chitosans induced peroxidase (POD) in a similar level. After elicited by glycol chitosan, like SA treatment, the seedlings increased disease resistance to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum significantly.展开更多

In the present work, the effects of four common-used complexing agents on EN deposition rate and the stability of solution pH values were examined, either with an acetic pH buffer agent or absent of them. It is indicated that the pH buffeting effect of them is dominative when the EN solution is lack of the pH buffer. Under this situation, the EN deposition rate increases with the concentration of complexing agents increasing. The EN deposition rate decreases with fin'ther adding the complexing agent when the solution already has enough pH buffer capability. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy obtained during EN deposition illustrates that, in this case, the enhanced reaction resistance is the main reason for a lower deposition rate. However, the influence of polarization caused by mass transfer is not negligible at high complex ratio for sodium citrate and malic acid EN solutions.展开更多

In the present study, the genotypes of the 258 bp fragments of embB genes from 196 clinical isolates of M. tuberculosis were analysed with RDBH and DNA sequencing. It was demonstrated that 60 out of 91 phenotypically EMB-resistant isolates (65.9%) showed 5 types of missense mutations at codon 306 of embB gene, resulting in the replacement of the Met residue of the wild type strain with Val, Ile or Leu residues. In these mutations, the GTP mutation (38/91, 41.8% ) and the ATA mutation (16/91, 17.6% ) were the most encountered genotypes. The embB mutation at codon 306 could also be found in 69 isolates of phenotypically EMB-sensitive but resistant to other anti-tuberculous drugs, but no such gene mutation could be found in 36 strains of drug-sensitive isolates. Meanwhile, the concordance with the results of DNA sequencing fcr one wide-type probe and 5 probes for specific mutations was 100%. It was concluded that the EMB-resistance occurring in most M. tuberculosis is due to appearance of embB mutation at codon 306, and the PCR-RDBH assay was proved to be a rapid, simple and reliable method for the detection of gene mutations, which might be a good alternative for the drug-resistance screening.展开更多

Methods The levels of plasma adiponectin, fasting plasma insulin (FINS), C-reactive protein (CRP) and P-selectin were measured by ELISA, plasma ET-1 was measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA) in 75 male patients with CHD and 30 healthy male people. Body mass index (BMI), waist / hip ratio (WHR) and insulin resistance index (Homa-IR) were calculated respectively. Results (1)The plasma adiponectin levels in CHD group were lower compared with control group[(5.18±2.57)mg / L vs(8.94±2.59)mg / L, P〈 0.001 ], there was no significant difference of plasma adiponectin levels in CHD sub-groups (P 〉 0.05).(2) Based on multinominal stepwise logistic regression analysis, adiponectin was one of significant and independent risk factors for CHD. (3) Multivariate liner stepwise regression analysis showed that adiponectin had significant correlation with BMI and TG, BMI and TG were independent factors influencing on plasma adiponectin levels. (4) Pearson correlation analysis indicated plasma adiponectin levels were inversely related to FINS levels , Homa-IR, CRP, P-selectin and ET-1. Conclusions ( 1 )Plasma adiponectin levels are lower in CHD patients compared the control subjects, there are no significant difference of plasma adiponectin levels in patients with SAP, UAP and AMI. (2) Plasma adiponectin levels are relative with CHD. Hypoadiponectinemia is an independent risk factor for CHD. (3)Established cardiovascular risk factors such as BMI and TG have an obvious influence on adiponectin. (4)The probable pathogenesis by which adiponectin involves in CHD is suggested that adiponectin relates to insulin resistance, inflammatory reaction and dysfunction of vessel endothelium.展开更多
