In this article, the authors use these alternative equivalent formulations to suggest and analyze a new self-adaptive iterative method for solving general mixed quasi variational inequalities. C0-semigroup theory is used to prove the existence of a unique nonnegative time-dependent solution of the system. Then by using the theory of resolvent positive operator, the authors derive that dynamic solution of the system exponentially converges to its steady-state one which is the eigenfunction corresponding to eigenvalue 0 of the system operator. Some reliability indices of the system are discussed with a different method from traditional one. Resolvent operator has been increasingly used to investigate turbulent flows and develop control strategies.Recently,Towne et al.(J Fluid Mech 883:A17,2020)proposed a resolvent-based estimation(RBE)method for predicti...Resolvent operator has been increasingly used to investigate turbulent flows and develop control strategies.Recently,Towne et al.(J Fluid Mech 883:A17,2020)proposed a resolvent-based estimation(RBE)method for predicting turbulent statistics in a channel flow.In this paper,we utilize the RBE method to predict the root-mean-square(RMS)and space-time energy spectra of streamwise velocity fluctuation,where the input is the space-time energy spectra at a reference horizontal plane located in the logarithmic layer and the output is the space-time energy spectra in the buffer layer.The explicit formulas for the RBE method are given in detail for numerical implementation.The results show the capability of the RBE method in the prediction of the convection velocity and bandwidth of the space-time energy spectra.Furthermore,we make a systematic evaluation of the performance of the RBE method by varying the input configurations,including the wall-normal location of the reference plane,the inclusion or exclusion of the pressure as an input variable,the implementation approach of the pressure boundary condition,and the choice of the window function.It is found that the results of both RMS velocity and space-time energy spectra obtained from the RBE method are sensitive to the location of the reference plane.However,the pressure boundary conditions and inclusion of pressure as an input do not cause significant change in the RMS velocity and space-time energy spectra.Although it does not influence the prediction of the RMS velocity,a window function is found crucial in the RBE method for the prediction of the space-time energy spectra.展开更多

The decay dynamic of an excited quantum emitter(QE)is one of the most important contents in quantum optics.It has been widely applied in the field of quantum computing and quantum state manipulation.When the electroma...The decay dynamic of an excited quantum emitter(QE)is one of the most important contents in quantum optics.It has been widely applied in the field of quantum computing and quantum state manipulation.When the electromagnetic environment is described by several pseudomodes,the effective Hamiltonian method based on the multi-mode Jaynes-Cummings model provides a clear physical picture and a simple and convenient way to solve the decay dynamics.However,in previous studies,only the resonant modes are taken into account,while the non-resonant contributions are ignored.In this work,we study the applicability and accuracy of the effective Hamiltonian method for the decay dynamics.We consider different coupling strengths between a two-level QE and a gold nanosphere.The results for dynamics by the resolvent operator technique are used as a reference.Numerical results show that the effective Hamiltonian method provides accurate results when the two-level QE is resonant with the plasmon.However,when the detuning is large,the effective Hamiltonian method is not accurate.In addition,the effective Hamiltonian method cannot be applied when there is a bound state between the QE and the plasmon.These results are of great significance to the study of the decay dynamics in micro-nano structures described by quasi-normal modes.展开更多
