Rights-based approach to journalism in Turkey is a pretty new field of study for the researchers who study media. The examples of rights-based journalism appeared further especially in European Union membership process. Thus, the news that are sensitive to rights have found a broader place in media. In the process of E.U. membership, Turkey was required to carry out some regulations that target the betterment of human rights, women's rights, children's rights and minority rights. Making news from a rights-based perspective is an action for the announcement of people's struggle for their rights to the public with the aim of preventing the violations of rights.展开更多

Among them, using the norms and theories of human rights law to present litigation claims, conduct legal reasoning, and form human rights-based argumentation has been one of the most successful strategies for climate change lawsuits. The Paris Agreement marked a major watershed for human rights-based argumentation in climate change lawsuits: Before the signing of the Agreement, human rights-based argumentation in climate change lawsuits remained in its trial stage;since the signing of the Paris Agreement, as a litigation strategy, it has become more flexible and diversified, as its relationship with climate governance is becoming increasingly complicated. The uncertainty of climate legal obligation and the process of legalization of climate targets have fostered new dimensions for human rights-based argumentation: Shifting from an accountability logic to a litigation strategy, from international law to domestic law, from holding governments accountable to holding enterprises accountable. There are micro, medium, and macro paths to clarify the human rights-based argumentation, all leading to truly integrating human rights perspectives and ideas into a nation’s specific process of climate governance and valuing and leveraging the value of human rights-based argumentation as a tool, so as to achieve the goal of climate governance.展开更多

In spite of this, they are all but doomed to have their special needs ignored and their rights abused in many cases. Children without a biological family, who are cared for in some forms, also run the risk of a life which holds fewer possibilities for healthy development and a supportive environment than that of their peers with families. The range of threats is wide, from extreme neglect (lack of access to education, medical care, a balanced diet, etc.) to social stigmatization and marginalization and the fact that the loss of a family represents a serious trauma that stays with a person throughout his/her life and can potentially be seriously damaging if the person has not had any support in coping with it in childhood. The present study is conducted among the inmates (children) admitted in the ashrams (orphanages) who come from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. Information was collected from two orphanages of Sambalpur district situated in the western part of Odisha. These are Dhankauda Kanyaashram (for girls) and Dhankauda Balashram (for boys). The paper examines a wide range of care interventions for orphans, including family care, institutional care, community-based care, and rights-based care. A lack of direction, inadequate care, ignorance, and discrimination can make the trauma experienced by orphans more intense and ultimately ensure that they really do not succeed.展开更多

These targets are significant achievements of the United Nations in promoting the topic “Migration and Development” and strengthening the human rights-based global migration governance. However, there are many difficulties in achieving these targets, especially when the rights of regular and irregular migration are undermining national sovereignty and security, or are not in line with national development needs. With the continued spread of the CoVID-19pandemic, rising tensions among major powers, and the prevalence of populism and anti-foreigner sentiment in the West, the process of migration and development has been seriously influenced, and the divergent positions and conflicting interests of countries have pushed the migration targets further out of reach. However, in the long run, exploration in this area will help promote global economic recovery in the post-pandemic era and benefit all parties from the positive interactions of migration, development, and human rights.展开更多
