The finished Al/CFs composite sheet has CFs and pure Al sheets as sandwich and surface layers. After cross-section observation of the Al/CFs composite sheet, we found that the CFs discretely distributed within the sandwich layer. Besides, the tensile test showed that the contribution of the sandwich CFs layer to tensile strength was less than 11% compared with annealed pure Al sheet. With ex-situ observation of the CFs breakage evolution with-16%,-32%, and-45% rolling reduction during the ARB process, the plastic instability of the Al layer was found to bring shear damages to the CFs. At last, the bridging strengthening mechanism introduced by CFs was sacrificed. We provide new insight into and instruction on Al/CFs composite sheet preparation method and processing parameters.展开更多

Route A is the forward rolling; while during routes B and C the sheets are rotated 180o in rolling direction and normal direction, respectively; route D is the unidirectional rolling. The strain states of rolled sheets were analyzed by the finite element method, while the microstructure and texture were observed using optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and electron back-scattered diffraction techniques, and the mechanical properties were measured by tensile test. The results show that route D produced the largest effective strain. The right mathematical model was also established. Based on the volume of fin ploughed out is equal to the volume of the metal extruded up by the extruding face of the tool, the relations between fin height, pre roll ploughing feed and pre roll ploughing depth have been achieved. With the increase of pre roll ploughing depth which must be equal to groove depth, the fin height gradually becomes larger. There are different critical feeds with the various depths of pre roll ploughing. The pre roll ploughing feed is the critical one, the height of fin is largest. And when the feed is above the critical one, the fin height will reduce with the increase of feed. The theoretical analysis basically accords with experimental results.展开更多

It has been proposed by Froude in the 19th century and used from then on. Behind it there is a quadratic model [θ|θ|] for the damping and a subsequent equivalent linearization. Probably all model basin in the world follows this approach to assess the damping from a methods to get the P1-P2 coefficients. This is very applied to any kind of hull. However, it has become decay test. This is well documented and so is the general in the sense that in principle, it could be clear that for hull with a flat bottom such as a very large crude carrier (VLCC), this approach may lead to confusing results such as negative P2. Faced with this, the work presents a completely new idea. Avoiding the polynomial approximation, the basic attitude is to devise two regions from the decaying test response. The first, called the large amplitude response region yields a larger damping, probably due to the large bilge keel vortices that are attracted to the hull flat bottom. The second is the small amplitude response region where the vortices are not attracted to the bottom but travels approximately 45° sidewise. These observations has led to a new approach called the bi-linear approach as discussed in the work after analyzing several (many) model test results. In fact, a new modified bi-linear approach is ultimately proposed after the understanding of a transition region instead of a transition angle.展开更多

However, the unquestionable advantages of the first-generation applications of this plant concept also entail significant limitations both in productivity and steel grades that can be produced. Since his first pioneering applications,Danieli considered strategic the development of new technical solutions specifically conceived to overcome these limitations with the goal of increasing plant production volumes and enlarging steel grade product mix,in order to cover the gap between "Conventional mill" and "Thin slab casting and rolling" process routes. In order to reach this goal,Danieli has developed a complete portfolio of plant lay outs adopting Thin Slab Casting and Rolling technologies, each of them conceived to guarantee the optimal CAPEX and OPEX parameters in fitting with market requirements our Customer intend to target.in terms of productivity, steel grades and coil dimension product mix. Danieli TSR(Thin Slab Rolling) fTSR(flexible Thins Slab Rolling) QSP(Quality Strip Production) and ETR(Extra Thin Rolling) plant configurations are analyzed in this paper. With this diversified approach,Danieli solutions are most appropriate answers to thin slab casting and rolling to produce hot rolled coils with superior quality and an extremely diversified range of steel grades. Already, this approach has allowed Danieli plants to:①exceed the threshold production of 3.0 Mt/a with 2 casting strands in operation as done in Tangshan Iron and Steel plant in P.R.China since 2005;②expand the product mix to include virtually all the steel grades used for flat product applications, including the most demanding ones, such as peritectic(in Essar Algoma Canada and Benxi Iron and Steel,China),micro-alloyed,and silicon steels, for the most sophisticated applications, such as automotive and pipe manufacturing, including Arctic applications,(as done in OMK plant in Russia);③extend the range of final strip thicknesses to include ultra thin gauges, down to 0.8 mm(as in Ezz Flat Steel,in Egypt).展开更多

In order to obtain the microstructure evolution law of aluminum alloy hollow shaft in cross wedge rolling without mandrel, a finite element model is constructed through the finite element software Deform-3D. The influences of rolling temperature, sectional shrinkage, spreading angle and forming angle on the average grain size of rolled piece are studied by numerical simulation of microstructure evolution. The cellular automata method reveals the inherent relationship between the process parameters and the evolution of the microstructure, and provides a reference for optimizing the rolling process parameters of aluminum alloy hollow shafts and improving the forming quality. The results show that the average grain size of the rolled piece increases with the increase of the rolling temperature, decreases with the increase of the sectional shrinkage, and decreases first and then increases with the increase of the spreading angle, and changes little with the increase of the forming angle.展开更多

Microstructures and mechanical properties of the hot-rolled magnesium alloy sheets were analyzed by optical microscope and tensile tests respectively. Based on the Hall-Petch relation, considering the average grain size and grain size distribution, the nonlinear fitting analysis between the tensile strength and average grain size was carried on, and then the prediction model of tensile strength of hot-rolled AZ31B magnesium alloy sheet was established. The results indicate that, by rolling with multi-pass cross rolling, uniform, fine and equiaxial grain microstructures can be produced, the anisotropy of hot-rolled magnesium sheet can also be effectively weakened. Strong correlation was observed between the average grain size and tensile property of the hot-rolled magnesium alloy sheet. Grain size distribution coefficient d(CV) was introduced to reflect the dispersion degree about a set of grain size data, and then the Hall-Petch relation was perfected. Ultimately, the prediction accuracy of tensile strength of multi-pass hot-rolled AZ31B magnesium alloy was improved, and the prediction of tensile property can be performed by the model.展开更多

文摘We put forward a method of fabricating Aluminum(Al)/carbon fibers(CFs) composite sheets by the accumulative roll bonding(ARB) method. We provide new insight into and instruction on Al/CFs composite sheet preparation method and processing parameters.
文摘Based on the wave attack task planning method in static complex environment and the rolling optimization framework, an online task planning method in dynamic complex environment based on rolling optimization is proposed. In the process of online task planning in dynamic complex environment, online task planning is based on event triggering including target information update event, new target addition event, target failure event, weapon failure event, etc., and the methods include defense area reanalysis, parameter space update, and mission re-planning. Simulation is conducted for different events and the result shows that the index value of the attack scenario after re-planning is better than that before re-planning and according to the probability distribution of statistical simulation method, the index value distribution after re-planning is obviously in the region of high index value, and the index value gap before and after re-planning is related to the degree of posture change.

文摘Due to their robust learning and expression ability for complex features, the deep learning(DL)model plays a vital role in bearing fault diagnosis. However, since there are fewer labeled samples in fault diagnosis, the depth of DL models in fault diagnosis is generally shallower than that of DL models in other fields, which limits the diagnostic performance. To solve this problem,a novel transfer residual Swin Transformer(RST)is proposed for rolling bearings in this paper.RST has 24 residual self-attention layers, which use the hierarchical design and the shifted window-based residual self-attention.Combined with transfer learning techniques, the transfer RST model uses pre-trained parameters from ImageNet.A new end-to-end method for fault diagnosis based on deep transfer RST is proposed.Firstly, wavelet transform transforms the vibration signal into a wavelet time-frequency diagram. The signal’s time-frequency domain representation can be represented simultaneously.Secondly, the wavelet time-frequency diagram is the input of the RST model to obtain the fault type. Finally, our method is verified on public and self-built datasets.Experimental results show the superior performance of our method by comparing it with a shallow neural network.
文摘This work consists of evaluating the quality of the mechanical parameters of large-diameter steels, i.e. 20, 25, 28 and 32, through a process of recycling scrap metal that fills garages, rubbish dumps, gutters and other abandoned sites, as well as imported concrete reinforcing steel sold in the Republic of Guinea. To carry out this important work, a number of mechanical tensile and bending tests and a microscopic analysis combining two devices, an electron microscope and a photographic camera, were carried out. The samples were taken from sampling areas in the major communes of Conakry, namely: Casse Sonfonia, Matoto and Kagbélen. The tensile strength values of the large dimensions 20, 25, 28 and 32 are given in the tables.

文摘Influence of three different rolling routes on mechanical anisotropy and formability of commercially pure titanium sheetwas investigated.Route A and Route B are unidirectional rolling(UR)where the rolling direction is along initial rolling direction(RD)and transverse direction(TD),respectively.Route C is cross rolling(CR)where the rolling direction is changed by90°aftereach rolling pass. The microstructure and texture, tensile mechanical properties including strength and elongation, and also theanisotropy of the UR and CR sheets were investigated at room temperature. The XRD results indicate that the texture intensity ofrolled samples gradually weakens from Route A to Route C.Compared with Route A and Route B rolled samples, the Route C rolledsamples show a smaller planar anisotropy. The deep drawing tests reveal that cross rolling can avoid the occurrence of earing.Erichsen tests indicate that rolling routes have an effect on stretch formability of pure titanium sheet.

文摘Four different routes of asymmetric reduction rolling were conducted on AZ31 magnesium alloy to investigate their effect on the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties. Compared with other samples, sample D exhibited a homogeneous microstructure with fine grains as well as a weak and tilted texture, in corresponding, it performed excellent tensile properties, which suggested that route D was an effective way to enhance the strength and plasticity of AZ31 sheet.
文摘In alloy bar rolling process, the component of alloyed steel influenced the spread coefficient greatly, therefore, the component influence coefficient m of different alloyed steel has been determined firstly to calculate the maximum spread. Then the curvature radius of stress free surface and the "critical point on the contact boundary" have been solved, the surface profile of outgoing workpiece has been obtained. Furthermore, the formula of the equivalent contact section area has been proposed and the mean roll radius has been calculated. The bar rolling experiment and the rigid-plastic FEM (finite element method) simulation have been carried out to verify the novel approach. Compared with experimental data and simulation results, the novel approach can be used in setting processing parameter and design of finishing groove.
文摘The mechanism of pre roll ploughing for 3D fins on the outside surface of copper tube was studied systematically, and especially the process and conditions of 3D fin formation were analyzed. The theoretical analysis basically accords with experimental results.

文摘The methodology to obtain the non-linear roll damping from decay tests is very old. In fact, a new modified bi-linear approach is ultimately proposed after the understanding of a transition region instead of a transition angle.
文摘The direct rolling process for hot strip production, where the thin slab caster is connected directly to the mill, has gained market share rapidly because of its remarkable advantages in terms of energy savings and investment cost over the conventional hot strip mills. Already, this approach has allowed Danieli plants to:①exceed the threshold production of 3.0 Mt/a with 2 casting strands in operation as done in Tangshan Iron and Steel plant in P.R.China since 2005;②expand the product mix to include virtually all the steel grades used for flat product applications, including the most demanding ones, such as peritectic(in Essar Algoma Canada and Benxi Iron and Steel,China),micro-alloyed,and silicon steels, for the most sophisticated applications, such as automotive and pipe manufacturing, including Arctic applications,(as done in OMK plant in Russia);③extend the range of final strip thicknesses to include ultra thin gauges, down to 0.8 mm(as in Ezz Flat Steel,in Egypt).

文摘During the process of cross wedge rolling of aluminum alloy hollow shaft, the evolution of its microstructure has an important influence on the mechanical properties of the rolled piece. The results show that the average grain size of the rolled piece increases with the increase of the rolling temperature, decreases with the increase of the sectional shrinkage, and decreases first and then increases with the increase of the spreading angle, and changes little with the increase of the forming angle.

文摘Due to its highly favorable physical and chemical properties, titanium and titanium alloy are widely used in a variety of industries.Because of the low output of a single batch, plate cold rolling without tension is the most common rolling production method for titanium alloy. This method is lack of on-line thickness closed-loop control, with carefully thickness setting models for precision.A set of high-precision thickness setting models are proposed to suit the production method.Because of frequent variations in rolling specification,a model structural for the combination of analytical models and statistical models is adopted to replace the traditional self-learning method. The deformation resistance and friction factor, the primary factors which affect model precision, are considered as the objectives of statistical modeling.Firstly, the coefficient fitting of deformation resistance analytical model based on over-determined equations set is adopted.Additionally,a support vector machine(SVM)is applied to the modeling of the deformation resistance and friction factor. The setting models are applied to a 1450 plate-coiling mill for titanium alloy plate rolling, and then thickness precision is found consistently to be within 3%,exceeding the precision of traditional setting models with a self-learning method based on a large number of stable rolling data.Excellent application performance is obtained. The proposed research provides a set of high-precision thickness setting models which are well adapted to the characteristics of titanium alloy plate cold rolling without tension.

文摘At the initial rolling temperature of 250 to 400 ℃, AZ31B magnesium alloy sheets were hot rolled by four different rolling routes. Ultimately, the prediction accuracy of tensile strength of multi-pass hot-rolled AZ31B magnesium alloy was improved, and the prediction of tensile property can be performed by the model.
