The two-dimensional total routhian surface calculations have been carried out to stud), the triaxial superdeformed structure of a neutron-rich nucleus ^173 Hf firstly. In particular the effects of the rotational frequency ω and pairing-energy gap parameter A are discussed in detail in the course of shaping its triaxial superdeformation; additionally the neutron-shell correction energy is analyzed with emphasis in the confirmed triaxial superdeformed nucleus ^173Hf. Finally, more systematical results have been investigated for some confirmed superdeformed nuclei experimentally and a few predicted triaxial superdeformed nuclei theoretically with quadropole deformation ε2 ≈0.4 and triaxial deformation γ≈20° or 30° in the Z = 72 region. 展开更多

The result shows that the triaxial superdeformed state exists with deformation parameters ε2 = 0.38 and γ = 21°, where proton shell correction energy plays a key role, and the sum of two quasi-proton particle energies gives an additional driving effect. Total Routhian surface (TRS) calculations for even-even N = 76 isotones with 54 ≤ Z ≤ 68 have been performed in three-dimensional (β2,γ,β4) deformation space. Calculated results of the equilibrium deformation... Total Routhian surface (TRS) calculations for even-even N = 76 isotones with 54 ≤ Z ≤ 68 have been performed in three-dimensional (β2,γ,β4) deformation space. Calculated results of the equilibrium deformations are presented and compared with other theoretical predictions and available experimental data. The behavior of collective angular momentum shows the neutron rotation-alignment is preferred in the lighter N = 76 isotones, while for the heavier ones the proton alignment is favored. Moreover, multi-pair nucleon alignments and their competition (e.g., in 144Er) are predicted. It is pointed out that these nuclei in the N=76 isotonic chain exhibit triaxiality or γ softness in high-spin states as well as ground states. Based on deformation-energy curves with respect to axial and non-axial quadrupole deformations, the shape instabilities are evaluated in detail and predicted, particularly in γ direction. Such instabilities are also supported by the odd- and even-spin level staggering of the observed γ bands, which is usually used to distinguish between y-rigid and γ-soft asymmetry. 展开更多

Using the total-Routhian-surface (TRS) method, the rotational behaviors of fission isomers in the second well of actinide nuclei 234-242U, 236-244pu and 238-246Cm were investigated. The pairing-deformation-frequency self-consistent TRS calculations repro- duced reasonably the experimental moments of inertia extracted from spectroscopic data. It is calculated that, in these largely elongated (β2 ≈0.65 and β4≈ 0.03) fission isomers, the ν1/2-[981] neutron and π1/2+[651] proton align simultaneously at rotational frequency hω≈0.4 - 0.6 MeV (corresponding to spin I≈80h), which leads to clear upbending in moments of inertia (MoI's). Our calculations have indicated that the hexadecapole deformation f14 influenced significantly the frequency of the rotational alignment of the proton 1/2+[651] orbit. 展开更多

Description of the shape evolution in the yrast states of ^(186)Pt

The results show that ^186Pt is located close to the shape phase transition point, but the B(E2) values little agree with the X(3) model. The shape evolution in the yrast states of186Pt is also discussed in detail. TRS calculation exhibits a flat bottomed potential at low spin states, but a relatively deep minimum at high spin states. It suggests that a shape evolution from vibrational mode to rotational mode happens in ^186Pt. The result is in agreement with the E-GOS calculation. 展开更多
