The efficiency of particle screening was studied over a range of vibrational parameters including amplitude, frequency and vibrational direction. The Discrete Element Method (DEM) was used to simulate the screening process. A functional relationship between efficiency and the parameters, both singly and combined, is established. The function is a complicated exponential. Optimal amplitude and frequency values are smaller for particles near the mesh and larger for other particles. The optimum vibration angle is 45° for nearly all kinds of particles. A transverse velocity, V⊥, was defined and V⊥=0.2 m/s was identified to be the most efficient operating point by both simulation and experimental observation. Comparison of these results with those reported by others is included. 展开更多

The Discrete Element Method (DEM) has been used to simulate the screening process. A functional relationship between screening efficiency and screen length is established. It is shown that screening efficiency and screen length have a complicated exponential relationship. Relationships between them are profoundly discussed and conclusions are easily drawn: low values of the parameters do not benefit screening; screening efficiency generally increases with screen length; screening efficiency reaches a plateau when these parameters are in range frequently encountered in practical applications. 展开更多

It was found that the apparent KD values decreased along with each additional panning round, which indicates the increase of the binding affinity between the phage and the target molecules. This result shows that the KD value is a reliable intrinsic parameter and a new method for screening efficiency detection is thus provided. 展开更多

The screen surface load(SSL)caused by granular materials is an important factor affecting the structural performance of vibrating screen.Based on virtual experiment,a multi-objective collaborative optimiza-tion method is proposed to control the SSL under high screening efficiency(SE)in this work.Firstly,a DEM model was established to study the influence of process parameters on SE and SSL.Secondly,the NSGA-Ⅱ(Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm)was employed to optimize the screening parameters with both SE and SSL as targets.The optimization method proves to be effective implementing on a linear vibrating screening.With SE equals to 98.5%,the SSL optimizable range is 39.2%.While compromising the SE to 88.7%,the SSL optimizable range improves to 48.6%.The result shows that the collaborative optimization could effectively control the SSL while maintaining a high SE,which is of great significance to improve the service life of screen surface and screen body. 展开更多

The discrete element method(DEM) has been widely used to simulate microscopic interactions between particles.Screening is a deeply complicated process when considering the law of motion for the particles,themselves.In this paper,a numerical model for the study of a particle screening process using the DEM is presented.Special attention was paid to the modeling of a vibrating screen that allows particles to pass through,or to rebound,when approaching the screen surface.Inferences concerning screen length and vibrating frequency as they relate to screening efficiency were studied.The conclusions were:three-dimensional simulation of screening efficiency along the screen length follows an exponential distribution;when the sieve vibrates over a certain frequency range the screening efficiency is stable;and,higher vibration frequencies can improve the handling capacity of the screening machine. 展开更多

In order to improve the screening efficiency of vibrating screen and make vibration process smooth,a new type of magnetorheological (MR) damper was proposed. The signals of displacement in the vibration process during the test were collected. The trispectrum model of autoregressive (AR) time series was built and the correlation dimension was used to quantify the fractal characteristics during the vibration process. The result shows that,in different working conditions,trispectrum slices are applied to obtaining the information of non-Gaussian,nonlinear amplitude?frequency characteristics of the signal. Besides,there is correlation between the correlation dimension of vibration signal and trispectrum slices,which is very important to select the optimum working parameters of the MR damper and vibrating screen. And in the experimental conditions,it is found that when the working current of MR damper is 2 A and the rotation speed of vibration motor is 800 r/min,the vibration screen reaches its maximum screening efficiency. 展开更多

During screening operation, blinding or clogging of screen perforations generally occurs to reduce the sieving capacity and efficiency. Recently, the flip-flow screening has been widely recognized as a feasible method to deal with the problem. In this paper, a novel centralized-driving flip-flow screen(CFS) was developed for the separation of fine and moist coal, and the key structures, namely, a centralized-driving mechanism and a quasi-circle beam mounted with the mat were designed for high reliability and stability. By means of a test on an experimental prototype, the effect of some factors, i.e., initial stretch and hardness of the polyurethane panel, respectively, and the rotation speed of the driving motor on the kinematic characteristic of the screen surface was investigated. Results show that without an initial stretch, the sieve mat generates the largest vibratory amplitude while the slacker the sieve mat initially is, the smaller amplitude it will accomplish. And an increase in the rotation speed could cause a rise in the vibratory amplitude. Unlike the two factors, the hardness does not have a definite effect on the kinematic performance, on which a further study is required. Finally, screening processing on a laboratory prototype was conducted to draw the conclusion that the developed CFS also has a high sieving efficiency for the fine and moist coal. 展开更多

Since the concept of aptamer emerged,many scientists have launched a rich field of research around it.However,few nucleic acids aptamer which use cell as target can be put into practical applications.We believe that a great deal of this lies in the complexity and irreproducibility of aptamer screening experiments themselves.The complexity is due to the cumbersome processes and the technical requirements for laboratory personnel,whereas irreproducibility arises from the fact that the starting point of such screens is nucleic acid libraries with random fragments,and that different libraries directly determine the differences or even the success or failure of screening results.The complexity and irreproducibility mentioned above,in turn,lead to the inability of this experiment to unfold on a large scale,which naturally cannot lead to excellent results for practical applications.In response to this problem,our group has developed an instrument for automated screening of tumor cell nucleic acid aptamers and characterized the properties of nucleic acid aptamers obtained using this instrument in a comprehensive manner. 展开更多
