Between the City and Images:An Analysis of Mainstream Media’s Paths of Constructing the Cultural Memory of a City:Taking Chengdu Radio and Television’s“Hi Chengdu”as an Example

Mainstream media play a crucial role in constructing the cultural memory of a city.This study used 319 short videos released by“Hi Chengdu,”a new media product of Chengdu Radio and Television,as samples.Based on the grounded theory,a research framework encompassing“content,technology,and discourse”was established to explore the paths through which mainstream media construct the cultural memory.Regarding content,this paper emphasized temporal and spatial contexts and urban spaces,delving deep into the themes of the cultural memory and vehicles for it.In terms of technology,this paper discussed the practice of leveraging audio/visual-mode discourse to stitch together the impressions of a city and evoke emotional resonance to create a“flow”of memory.As for discourse,this paper looked at the performance of a communication ritual to frame concepts and shape urban identity.It is essential to break free from conventional thinking and leverage local culture as the primary driving force to further boost a city’s productivity,in order to excel in cultural communication.

Exploration on the Crowdfunding Mode of Rural Memory Project

In the past decades of industrialization and urbanization,a plenty of Chinese villages have passed out of existence.The amount of the existing ancient villages in China only accounts for 1.9% of the amount of Chinese administrative villages.Chinese traditional villages include tangible cultural heritage like traditional residential architecture and cultural relics,as well as intangible cultural heritage like folk customs and handcraft,which are of extremely important values and demand proper conservation immediately."Rural Memory Project" is not only a carrier project of "memorizing nostalgia" and "retaining passion for home",but also the original protection project of tangible cultural heritage like rural historic streets and traditional resident courtyard,as well as intangible cultural heritage like production and living customs.At present,"Rural Memory" Project launched by Shandong province was primarily funded by the government sectors whose investment was far from sufficient for the great appetite of the project,thus massive social capital has to be absorbed to ensure a sustainable implementation of the project.Featured with low threshold,strong inclusivity and stable mass basis,crowdfunding which could adapt to the characteristics of the current "Rural Memory" Project is regarded as a feasible fund-raising channel.In the exploration of crowdfunding mode,the authorities could focus on establishing a specialized crowdfunding platform for Rural Memory Project,select proper crowdfunding mode according to the characteristics of the project,adhere to the macro orientation and policy of the government,and commit themselves to dissolving the institutional constraints in crowdfunding.

Signs of Urban Identity in the Cities of Terra d’Otranto:A Contribution to Historical Research and Issues about Conservation Practices

The cities of Terra d’Otranto own a stratified architectural heritage,strongly connected with the local rural resources.From 15th to 19th century important phases of urban development contributed to creating an incisive characterization of many small cities holding precious cultural traces,appreciable in the specific use of construction materials and in the peculiar image of the historic city landscapes.Steeples and church pediments can be identified as signs of urban identity,alongside monumental walls,city gates,fortified buildings and other explicit representations of religious and secular authority.Moreover squares,courtyards and surroundings of undeniable cultural interest form a typical environmental heritage that the communities have enriched with many tangible and intangible values.In regard to the vulnerability of the building heritage,considerations on the broad scope of conservation are more important than ever,especially in relation to the required implementation of knowledge through scientific research and more attentive restoration practices on the architectural heritage of the historic cities.Ultimately,an in-depth study of the urban palimpsest is necessary for the proper identification of the features to safeguard,considering the risk of losing important testimonies for the collective memory.

Study on Landscape Restoration in City Memory Space: A Case Study of Temple of Lord Fan Wenzheng in Ancient Huishan Town

Against the background of rapid urbanization, city memories have been gradually lost. In view of this, historic blocks and ancient buildings are taken as the key points of restoring collective memory spaces of cities, and Temple of Lord Fan Wenzheng in ancient Huishan Town, Wuxi City as a typical case to define tangible landscape elements in memory spaces. By analyzing the process of restoring buildings, pavements, waters, stone layouts and plants in the temple, practical means of restoring tangible landscapes in city memory spaces were summarized, so as to provide references for protecting original town landscapes, repairing damaged memory spaces, and inheriting city memories.

营建记忆视角下代县西大街传统民居更新策略研究

当代发展趋势下,城市的发展开始着眼于现有资源的再利用和优化。历史街区因其独特和悠久的文化价值,逐渐成为社会关注的焦点。如何在城市更新中维护这些宝贵的历史记忆,确保其与现代设计元素的协调共生是当下历史街区在城市更新中面临的重要议题。文章以山西省忻州市代县古城的西大街作为研究对象,旨在通过对该古城历史街区的深入研究,分析“营建记忆”理念如何实际帮助街区在更新过程中保留其地域特色和延续历史脉络的连续性,对其更新过程进行初步的探索,并据此提出相关的更新策略。

基于居民认知的历史文化名城城市记忆研究--以山西省新绛县为例

城市记忆是城市的灵魂.城市中建成信息、地名演变、历史名人、历史事件等隐性的非物质要素和历史街区、文保单位、地形、河流等显性的物质要素共同构成城市记忆.作为城市记忆的重要载体,历史文化名城具有一定的典型性和代表性.因而选取山西省历史文化名城新绛县作为研究对象,以居民视角,归纳城市记忆认知要素为2个一级变量、14个二级变量和73个三级变量.通过234份有效问卷和实地深度访谈,构建相关数学模型,探究历史文化名城城市记忆认知特征,以实现历史文化名城城市记忆传承.结果表明:(1)居民对新绛县城市记忆认知水平总体较高,且非物质要素认知度高于物质要素,数值分别为0.75和0.70;(1)居民对非物质要素类别中传统音乐认知程度最高,数值为0.94,而对历史事件认知程度最低,数值为0.43;(3)在物质要素类别中,居民认知程度最高为历史中心,数值为0.89,而最低为古城整体格局,数值为0.46;(4)文化程度对居民认知水平差异影响较为显著,职业和月收入是居民认知水平差异的重要影响因素,而年龄和性别对居民认知水平差异影响较弱.

城市记忆视角下房地契档案中的地名文化——以云南师范大学馆藏西南联大珍贵房地契档案为例

“档案记忆观”的发展推动了世界记忆工程的发展,开始从“记忆”层面重视档案文献的保护,世界记忆工程落在国家和城市层面又提出了更为具体的城市记忆工程的建设,而高校档案馆又为城市记忆提供了重要素材,其中高校馆藏的房地契档案不仅从侧面见证了城市的发展变迁,还蕴含了丰富地名文化,地名文化又承载着城市记忆,开发利用地名文化就是对城市记忆的延续。挖掘和分析西南联大珍贵房地契档案中的昆明街道巷地名文化和其中的价值,并从地名角度出发,采取编制并普及地名志系列丛书、利用档案打造地名文化名片、建立独具特色的地名标识牌等措施,利用地名文化来推动城市记忆工程建设。

随着我国城镇化进程推进和产业迭代升级,工业遗产也正因老旧工业厂区的废弃、拆除而面临保护、传承不利的困境,亟需结合城市发展需求挖掘其内在价值,寻找科学合理的保护路径。研究以西安纺织城为例,在对其现存问题、保护困境、需求分析进行系统梳理的基础上,以青年学者为活力因子,植入城市新功能与业态,提出了通过构建空间交互平台的四种模式以促进纺织工业遗产的保护和利用,以期为同类型工业遗产的活化利用提供参考和借鉴。

基于Flash混合存储的数据迁移技术研究

混合存储系统内的数据结构较为混乱,为提高数据迁移效率,减少其响应时间,设计基于Flash混合存储的数据迁移技术。综合比较Flash存储器、固态硬盘存储器以及磁盘存储器的存储效果,对存储介质进行缓存分层,整理其在同层结构与分层结构中的读写顺序;计算文件的时间长度值,获取文件读写频率以及单位时间内的文件访问量,计算文件预期价值,并得到相应的约束条件,由此建立数据价值评定模型,设计数据迁移算法。实验结果表明,在邮件负载条件下效果更好,在不同时段内,响应时间均不超过3 s,因此该数据迁移技术的响应时间较短,性能较好。

城市记忆是由在地居民、外来游客等记忆主体的共同意识形态凝练而成的一种复杂又稳定的文化现象。城市记忆空间是指承载复杂记忆的城市物理空间,是城市记忆的载体。城市记忆空间的重构是指通过“记忆再现”对城市空间进行叙事性重构,是“记忆激活”的有效方式。厦门市第八市场作为典型的“城市记忆空间”,具有丰富的记忆价值。本文对其物质空间和非物质元素的记忆价值进行分析、综合、判断,提出“空间结构织补、环境品质提升和功能模式创新”三个重构策略,以激活城市记忆,为旧城街区更新提供不同思路。
