Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)technique is an expert on channel differences exploiting.In this paper,a dual-hop NOMA-based cooperative relaying network where a best relay is selected as an active node to accomplish the communication between a source and a destination is discussed.We assume that both decode-and-forward(DF)and amplify-and-forward(AF)protocols are applied to the selected relay.The metrics that ergodic sum-rate and outage probability are investigated,and the closed-form expressions of the latter for DF and AF protocols are derived.Numerical and simulation results are conducted to verify the validity of the theoretical analysis,in which we can see that the NOMA based DF relaying is better than the NOMA based AF relaying and other existing NOMA-based cooperative communication schemes. 展开更多

Dual-hop cooperative Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) network with multi-relay cooperative communication is introduced. Power allocation problem with Amplify-and-Forward (AF) and Selective Decode-and-Forward (SDF) strategies in multi-node scenario are formulated and solved respectively. Optimal power allocation schemes that maximize system capacity with AF strategy are presented. In addition, optimal power allocation methods that minimize asymptotic Symbol Error Rate (SER) with SDF cooperative protocol in multi-node scenario are also proposed. Furthermore, performance comparisons are provided in terms of system capacity and approximate SER. Numerical and simulation results confirm our theoretical analysis. It is revealed that, maximum system capacity could be obtained when powers are allocated optimally with AF protocol, while minimization of system's SER could also be achieved with optimum power allocation in SDF strategy. In multi-node scenario, those optimal power allocation algorithms are superior to conventional equal power allocation schemes. 展开更多

Based on the existing incremental selection algorithm for Decode-and-Forward (DF) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems, a faster one which combines the incremental selection with the decremental exclussion is proposed. Firstly, the algorithm selects one antenna which makes the increment of the capacity greatest in every step. Then, excludes the antennas whose contribution to the capacity is less than μ% of that of the best antenna. Simulations show that the proposed algorithm achieves comparable performance to the existing one and has obviously decreased complexity under the appropriate threshold μ% . 展开更多

With the low cost and low hardware complex considerations,cooperative systems are a tendency in the future communications.This work considers the secure cooperative communications systems.For a practical situation in the system,the scenario includes multiple source stations,multiple relay stations,multiple destination stations,and eavesdroppers.To analyze the optimal relay selection in the system,we begin with the performance analysis for a single source station and a single destination station.By applying two cooperative models,the amplify-andforward(AF) mode and decode-and-forward(DF)mode,the secrecy capacity is derived.Then,we apply the derived results to the considered environment to find the optimal relay assignment.By the way,the relay selection can be obtained by the exhaustive search algorithm.However,there are a lot of steps needed if the number of source stations is large.Hence,applying the characters of the cooperative modes in the relay selection,the pre-selection step is proposed with a mathematical derivation.It could be used for the practical situation without a long-time calculation. 展开更多

This article analyzes the diversity order of several proposed schemes, where the transmit antenna selection (TAS) strategies are combined with low-complexity decode-and-forward (DF) protocols in the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) relaying scenario. Although antenna selection is a suboptimal form of beamforming, it enjoys the advantages of tractable optimization and low feedback overhead. Specifically, this article proposes schemes that combine TAS strategies with fixed decode-and-forward (FDF) and selection decode-and-forward (SDF) protocols. Following that, the asymptotic expressions of outage probabilities are derived and the diversity order of the proposed schemes analyzed. These kinds of combination of transmit antenna selection strategies and low-complexity decode-and-forward protocols can achieve partial diversity order in the MIMO relaying scenario. In this paper we derive the expression for symbol error probability (SEP) of a two-user cooperative diversity system, where two users cooperate through the decode-and-forward (DF) relaying with binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulation in a flat Rayleigh fading environment. We compare the computational results obtained by the SEP expression with the simulation results using maximal-ratio combining (MRC), equal-gain combining (EGC) and selection combining (SC) techniques. Numerical results show the performance of a cooperative diversity system with maximal-ratio combining is giving better results compared to SC and EGC techniques. 展开更多

There are several relaying modes for different channel conditions In this article, an adaptive relaying mode selection scheme by destination and relay is proposed. The proposed scheme changes the signal forwarding mode at the relay station. It adaptively chooses among amplify-and-forward (AF), decode-and-forward (DF) and direct mode according to cyclic redundancy check (CRC) detection at relay and destination. Moreover, block error rate (BLER) and throughput are adopted to evaluate system performance. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme significantly outperforms other existing relaying mode selection schemes. 展开更多

A two-user cooperative diversity system based on Alamouti signaling was proposed, which utilizes the orthogonal structure of Alamouti signaling to make cooperative users relay on the shared channel resources so that the spectral efficiency of the traditional cooperative system can be improved.When M -ary phase shift keying (M -PSK) modulation and an improved selection decode-and-forward (SDF) relaying protocol with limited feedback are used at the users and m(m 1) receive antennas are configured at the base station, the average bit-error-rate (BER) system performance for statistically similar uplink channels was derived and it was verified by simulations.Under various channel scenarios of interest, numerical and simulation results show that the diversity gain achieved and the BER performance of the proposed system increase with the interuser channel quality, and the full transmit diversity order of two can be obtained for sufficiently high interuser signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). 展开更多

In this paper,we study the problem of optimal resource allocation for lifetime maximization in an orthogonal-frequencydivision multiplexing(OFDM)system with decode-and-forward relay.The goal is to minimize total energy cost of the system by jointly optimizing power allocation,subcarrier pairing and relay selection.We present a heuristic solution that is composed of two parts.The first part is an optimal power allocation approach to allocate power to a subcarrier pair of the source and the relay.The second part is a modified Hungarian algorithm to make subcarrier pairing and relay selection.Evaluations show that the presented scheme outperforms other schemes in the total transmitted data and the network lifetime. 展开更多
