The fuzzy logic controller is able to perform effectively even in situations where the information about the plant is inaccurate and the operating conditions are uncertain. Based on the proportional navigation, the fuzzy logic and the genetic algorithm are combined to develop an evolutionary fuzzy navigation law with self-adapt region for the air-to-air missile guidance. The line of sight (LOS) rate and the closing speed between the missile and the target are inputs of the fuzzy controller. The output of the fuzzy controller is the commanded acceleration. Then a nonlinear function based on the conventional fuzzy logic control is imported to change the region. This nonlinear function can be changed with the input variables. So the dynamic change of the fuzzy variable region is achieved. The guidance law is optimized by the genetic algorithm. Simulation results of air-to-air missile attack using MATLAB show that the method needs less acceleration and shorter flying time, and its realization is simple.[KH*3/4D]展开更多

It is very useful in overcoming non-linear dynamic behavior, uncertain and time-varying parameters, un-modeled dynamics, and couples between the automatic turbulence control (ATC) and the automatic acid temperature control (AATC) with varying parameters during the operation process. The quasi-cascade control system of inner and outer loop self-adaptive fuzzy PID controller was built, which could effectively control the pickling speed of plates and strips. The simulated results and real application indicate that the plates and strips acid pickling speed control system has good performances of adaptively tracking the parameter variations and anti-disturbances, which ensures the match of acid pickling temperature and turbulence of flowing with acid pickling speed, improving the surface quality of plates and strips acid pickling, and energy efficiency.展开更多

Accordingly, the fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller was proposed through changing fuzzy input variables and output variables based on variable universe, simple furwtion is adopted as scaling factor, the fuzzy PID controller parameters are adjusted to improve the precision and adjustment range. In this paper, aiming at solving the problems a...In micro electrical discharge machining (micro EDM), it is difficult for servo controlling the narrow discharge gap with the characters of non-linear and quick change. In this paper, aiming at solving the problems above, a self-adaptive fuzzy controller with formulary rule (SAFCFR) is presented based on the dual feedbacks composed by gap electric signal and discharge-ratio statistics. To ensure the properties of self-optimizing and fast stabilization, the formulary rule was designed with a tuning factor. In addition, the fast-convergence algorithms were introduced to adjust control target center and output scale factor. In this way, the normal discharge ratio can tend to the highest value during micro-EDM process. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are effective in improving the servo-control performance. According to the drilling-micro-EDM experiments, the machining efficiency is improved by 20% through applying SAFCFR. Moreover, SAFCFR is a prompt way to optimize parameters of discharge-gap servo control.展开更多

A T-S fuzzy model was firstly forme...A fuzzy sliding-mode control (FSMC) scheme based on T-S fuzzy models was proposed for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system to solve the speed tracking problem. A T-S fuzzy model was firstly formed to represent the nonlinear system of PMSM. For converting the tracking control into a stabilization problem, a new control design was proposed to define the internal desired states. Then, the FSMC controller for PMSM system with parameter variation and load disturbance was designed based on the fuzzy model. The performance of the proposed controller was verified by experimental results on PMSM system. The results show that the FSMC scheme can drive the dynamics of PMSM into a designated sliding surface in finite time and guarantee the property of asymptotical stability. The information of upper bound of modeling errors as well as perturbations is not required when using the FSMC controller.展开更多

T...A new general robust fuzzy approach was presented to control the position and the attitude of unmanned flying vehicles(UFVs). Control of these vehicles was challenging due to their nonlinear underactuated behaviors. The proposed control system combined great advantages of generalized indirect adaptive sliding mode control(IASMC) and fuzzy control for the UFVs. An on-line adaptive tuning algorithm based on Lyapunov function and Barbalat lemma was designed, thus the stability of the system can be guaranteed. The chattering phenomenon in the sliding mode control was reduced and the steady error was also alleviated. The numerical results, for an underactuated quadcopter and a high speed underwater vehicle as case studies, indicate that the presented adaptive design of fuzzy sliding mode controller performs robustly in the presence of sensor noise and external disturbances. In addition, online unknown parameter estimation of the UFVs, such as ground effect and planing force especially in the cases with the Gaussian sensor noise with zero mean and standard deviation of 0.5 m and 0.1 rad and external disturbances with amplitude of 0.1 m/s2 and frequency of 0.2 Hz, is one of the advantages of this method. These estimated parameters are then used in the controller to improve the trajectory tracking performance.展开更多

The controller is composed of a fuzzy variable structure control term and a supervisory control term. The former is the main part of the controller and the latter is used to ensure the stability of the system. Finally, the conventional variable structure control method and the fuzzy variable structure control method are applied respectively. A spray cooling system is set up for simulation test in laboratory to test the step signal from the conventional, integral sepa rated and fuzzy self-adaptive PID controllers and the simulation casting. And the on-site test is done in some steel plant. The traditional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller in Smith predictive control is replaced by fuzzy PI controller which utilizes the principle of fuzzy control to tune parameters of PI controller on-line. Self-adaptation is particularly desirable for assuring the quality of service (QoS) and availability of MCS under uncertainty. Few techniques have insofar addressed the issue of MCS self-adaptation, and most existing approaches to software self-adaptation fail to take into account uncertainty in the self-adaptation loop. To tackle this problem, we propose a fuzzy control based approach, i.e., Software Fuzzy Self-Adaptation (SFSA), with a view to deal with the challenge of MCS self-adaptation under uncertainty. First, we present the SFSA conceptual framework, consisting of sensing, deciding and acting stages, and establish the formal model of SFSA to lay a rigorous and mathematical foundation of our approach. Second, we develop a novel SFSA implementation technology as well as its supporting tool, i.e., the SFSA toolkit, to automate the realization process of SFSA. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach through the development of an adaptive MCS application in process control systems. Validation experiments show that the fuzzy control based approach proposed in this work is effective and with low overheads.展开更多

Traditional methods rely on the accurate estimation of su...Video Super-Resolution (SR) reconstruction produces video sequences with High Resolution (HR) via the fusion of several Low-Resolution (LR) video frames. Traditional methods rely on the accurate estimation of subpixel motion, which constrains their applicability to video sequences with relatively simple motions such as global translation. We propose an efficient iterative spatio-temporal adaptive SR reconstruction model based on Zemike Moment (ZM), which is effective for spatial video sequences with arbitrary motion. The model uses region correlation judgment and self-adaptive threshold strategies to improve the effect and time efficiency of the ZM-based SR method. This leads to better mining of non-local self-similarity and local structural regularity, and is robust to noise and rotation. An efficient iterative curvature-based interpolation scheme is introduced to obtain the initial HR estimation of each LR video frame. Experimental results both on spatial and standard video sequences demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing methods in terms of both subjective visual and objective quantitative evaluations, and greatly improves the time efficiency.展开更多

Through the new structure of the designed reaching law, the proposed method can effectively increase the convergence speed while guaranteeing chattering-free control. The performance of controlling underactuated robotic systems can be further improved by the adoption of fuzzy logic to perform adaptive online hyper-parameter tuning. In addition, an underactuated robotic system with uncertainties is studied to validate the effectiveness of the proposed reaching law. Results reveal the dynamic performance and robustness of the proposed reaching law in the studied system and prove the proposed method’s superiority over other state-of-the-art methods.展开更多

Most existing scheduling algorithms use fixed-number job replications to provide fault tolerant ability and high scheduling success rate, which consume excessive resources or can not provide sufficient fault tolerant functions when grid security conditions change. In this paper a fuzzy-logic-based self-adaptive replication scheduling (FSARS) algorithm is proposed to handle the fuzziness or uncertainties of job replication number which is highly related to trust factors behind grid sites and user jobs. Remote sensing-based soil moisture extraction (RSBSME) workload experiments in real grid environment are performed to evaluate the proposed approach and the results show that high scheduling success rate of up to 95% and less grid resource utilization can be achieved through FSARS. Extensive experiments show that FSARS scales well when user jobs and grid sites increase.展开更多

Second, we develop a novel SFSA implementation technology as well as its supporting tool, i.e., the SFSA toolkit, to automate the realization process of SFSA. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach through the development of an adaptive MCS application in process control systems. Validation experiments show that the fuzzy control based approach proposed in this work is effective and with low overheads.

文摘Video Super-Resolution (SR) reconstruction produces video sequences with High Resolution (HR) via the fusion of several Low-Resolution (LR) video frames. Traditional methods rely on the accurate estimation of subpixel motion, which constrains their applicability to video sequences with relatively simple motions such as global translation. We propose an efficient iterative spatio-temporal adaptive SR reconstruction model based on Zemike Moment (ZM), which is effective for spatial video sequences with arbitrary motion. The model uses region correlation judgment and self-adaptive threshold strategies to improve the effect and time efficiency of the ZM-based SR method. This leads to better mining of non-local self-similarity and local structural regularity, and is robust to noise and rotation. An efficient iterative curvature-based interpolation scheme is introduced to obtain the initial HR estimation of each LR video frame. Experimental results both on spatial and standard video sequences demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing methods in terms of both subjective visual and objective quantitative evaluations, and greatly improves the time efficiency.

文摘This study proposes a gained switching-based discrete-time sliding mode control method to address the chattering issue in disturbed discrete-time systems, which suffer from various unknown uncertainties. Through the new structure of the designed reaching law, the proposed method can effectively increase the convergence speed while guaranteeing chattering-free control. The performance of controlling underactuated robotic systems can be further improved by the adoption of fuzzy logic to perform adaptive online hyper-parameter tuning. In addition, an underactuated robotic system with uncertainties is studied to validate the effectiveness of the proposed reaching law. Results reveal the dynamic performance and robustness of the proposed reaching law in the studied system and prove the proposed method’s superiority over other state-of-the-art methods.

文摘The uncertainties of grid sites security are main hurdle to make the job scheduling secure, reliable and fault-tolerant. Most existing scheduling algorithms use fixed-number job replications to provide fault tolerant ability and high scheduling success rate, which consume excessive resources or can not provide sufficient fault tolerant functions when grid security conditions change. In this paper a fuzzy-logic-based self-adaptive replication scheduling (FSARS) algorithm is proposed to handle the fuzziness or uncertainties of job replication number which is highly related to trust factors behind grid sites and user jobs. Remote sensing-based soil moisture extraction (RSBSME) workload experiments in real grid environment are performed to evaluate the proposed approach and the results show that high scheduling success rate of up to 95% and less grid resource utilization can be achieved through FSARS. Extensive experiments show that FSARS scales well when user jobs and grid sites increase.
