Exploration and Research on Textbook Quality Evaluation Index System Based on Engineering Major in Higher Education

The report of the Chinese 20th National Congress put forward“strengthening the construction and management of textbooks”for the first time,which indicates the importance of textbook construction and highlights the vital position of textbooks in the overall development of the country.From the perspective of textbook quality,and based on the research and analysis of the policy requirements and current evaluation indicators of higher education textbooks,this paper establishes the textbook quality evaluation index system composed of basic indicators and evaluation indicators.This system is based on the principles of science,comprehensiveness,operability,and target-oriented approach.It provides a relatively scientific,objective,and fair reference system for the management and evaluation of textbooks.

Reform of Practical Teaching of “Linux Operating System Fundamentals” Under the Background of Emerging Engineering Education

With the advancement of the construction of emerging engineering education,the reform of practical teaching has become an important task of higher engineering education.This article takes the course“Linux Operating System Fundamentals”as an example to explore practical teaching reform in the context of emerging engineering education.By analyzing the current situation and problems in course practical teaching,we proposed practical teaching reforms such as online experiments,practical content updates,project-based engineering practices,and diversified evaluation models,and designed corresponding implementation plans.Practice has proved that this reform can improve students’learning interest and engineering practical skills,and cultivate outstanding engineers with innovative spirit and practical skills.

Exploration of the Construction of the Civic and Political Education in Engineering Geology Course

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the integration of the elements of civic and political education into the engineering geology course to improve students’ideological and moral qualities.It is proposed that by integrating elements of civic and political education,students are guided to form a positive attitude toward engineering practice as well as correct values and ethics.With regard to the teaching design and implementation of the course,the implementation paths of teacher team building,careful teaching design,innovative teaching methods,and the integration of civic and politics in practical teaching are proposed to summarize the significance of integrating the elements of civic and political education in the construction of the engineering geology course.It is pointed out that this integration not only improves the quality of the course,but also provides a reference for the civic and political education of other similar professional courses.This integration not only focuses on the teaching of professional knowledge,but also pays more attention to the cultivation of students’ideology and morality,which provides a model and guidance for shaping new talents with all-round development.

The Model of“Post,Course,Competition,Certificate”Integrated Education for Electronic Information Engineering Technology Major in Higher Vocational Colleges

The core education function of higher vocational colleges is to train technical talents with high quality,so as to meet the needs of talents in the development stage of our society.Under the guidance of talent training,higher vocational colleges need to pay attention to establishing an all-round and three-dimensional education model,and promote innovation of higher vocational education on the basis of this.It is also a way to promote the innovation of higher vocational education to vigorously promote the construction of“post,course,competition,certificate”mode in the construction of education mode.Through the construction of“post,course,competition,certificate”mode,the education mode of higher vocational colleges is gradually improved,so as to strengthen the effectiveness of talent training in higher vocational colleges.Therefore,in this paper,the author puts forward some suggestions to promote the construction of the integrated education mode of the electronic information engineering technology major in higher vocational colleges,so as to help improve the talent training level of higher vocational colleges.

Meta-SEE:Intelligent and Interactive Learning Framework for Software Engineering Education Based on Metaverse and Metacognition

With the rapid evolution of technology and the increasing complexity of software systems,there is a growing demand for effective educational approaches that empower learners to acquire and apply software engineering skills in practical contexts.This paper presents an intelligent and interactive learning(Meta-SEE)framework for software engineering education that combines the immersive capabilities of the metaverse with the cognitive processes of metacognition,to create an interactive and engaging learning environment.In the Meta-SEE framework,learners are immersed in a virtual world where they can collaboratively engage with concepts and practices of software engineering.Through the integration of metacognitive strategies,learners are empowered to monitor,regulate,and adapt their learning processes.By incorporating metacognition within the metaverse,learners gain a deeper understanding of their own thinking processes and become self-directed learners.In addition,MetaSEE has the potential to revolutionize software engineering education by offering a dynamic,immersive,and personalized learning experience.It allows learners to engage in realistic software development scenarios,explore complex systems,and collaborate with peers and instructors in virtual spaces.

A New Model of Software Engineering Education and Exploration of Professional Curriculum Teaching

This paper focuses on the problems,opportunities,and challenges faced by software engineering education in the new era.We have studied the core ideas of the new model and reform,the specific measures implemented,and the challenges and solutions faced.The new model and reform must focus on cultivating practical abilities,introducing interdisciplinary knowledge,and strengthening innovation awareness and entrepreneurial spirit.The process of reform and innovation is carried out from the aspects of teaching methods,teaching means,and course performance evaluation in the teaching practice of software engineering courses.We adopt a method of“question guiding,simple and easy to understand,flexible and diverse,and emphasizing practical results”,optimizing the curriculum design,providing diverse learning opportunities,and establishing a platform for the industry-university-research cooperation.Our teaching philosophy is to adhere to the viewpoint of innovative teaching ideas,optimizing teaching methods and teaching means,and comprehensively improving the teaching quality and level of software engineering education.

An Exploratory Practice of Integration of Industry and Education in High-level Programming Language Course in the Background of New Engineering

This paper analyzes some problems of the current teaching situation in the course High-level Programming Language,such as the lagging content of the course compared with technology development,the emphasis on theory rather than on practice,the low enthusiasm of students for learning,and the weak practical ability of students.In response to the needs of enterprises for talents under the background of New Engineering,especially the cultivation of students’adaptability and practical abilities towards future industries to improve students’knowledge and problemsolving abilities to keep up with the modern technology,this paper proposes the ways and methods to reform and explore the teaching content and teaching methods by integrating industry and education,assisting teaching according to industrial demands,and lowering technology barriers of new technology.The practical effect is evaluated through a survey in class and the follow-up questionnaire after class,and the results show that the effect of the practice is effective.

Service-Learning Practices and Reflections in the Perspective of Nel Noddings’Theory of Caring Education:The“Care for the Elderly”Service-Learning Program as an Example

Nel Noddings’ethics of care is an important lineage of Western moral education thought,which contains deep humanistic values.Service-learning advocates the equal importance of service and learning,and emphasizes more on the discovery of educational connotations in practice.Based on the social background of aging,this paper takes the“Care for the Elderly”service-learning program as an example,attempts to take the care ethics as the entry point,adopts interviews,questionnaires,and other research methods,and opens-up the service-learning practice path under the threshold of Nel Noddings’care education theory.

Remolding Software Engineering Course Based on Engineering Education Concepts

The core of the engineering education concepts is student-centered teaching,result-oriented teaching,and continuous improvement.It is necessary to carry out course remolding of software engineering course guided by engineering education concepts.This paper first analyzes the pain points of teaching the course of software engineering,and then introduces how to remold the course based on engineering education concepts,including reformulating the teaching objectives,teaching modes,and assessment methods.Through teaching practice,we find that the improved course has achieved a better teaching result,which reflects the advantages of the engineering education concepts.

Improvement of Teaching Management Mechanism for Engineering Education Accreditation

Research on the Construction of a Landscape Engineering Teaching Resource Library Under the“4321”Industry-Education Integration System

This paper studies and explores the construction of a teaching resource library for landscape engineering under the“4321”industry-education integration system,focusing on the construction objectives,construction paths,and construction contents,aiming to open-up the channel of school-enterprise cooperation,improve enterprise participation,and promote the reform of teaching mode and teaching methods.Establishing a practical resource library will connect and integrate students,teachers,and enterprises.A complete library of landscape-oriented teaching resources will be constructed according to the talent portraits of the industry to open-up the relationship between upstream and downstream courses,and further improve the precise fit between the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents and enterprises.

The Analysis of Human Behaviour and Evacuation in a Fire Situation in a Building for Higher Education

The paper presents the analysis of a human evacuation from a higher education building located in Iassy,Romania,by means of engineering techniques to approach fire safety.Because in Romania(as in other European countries)fire safety design of buildings is prescriptive and not performance-based,a fire safety engineering approach arouse great interest in many countries such as the U.S.A.,Australia,New Zealand,England,Sweden,Finland,etc.This paper is based on the assumption of starting a fire in the space of a hall for festivities,located on the ground floor of the building,near two human evacuation routes;We consider two building evacuation scenarios:two exits and,respectively,just one exit(assuming that the second would be accidentally blocked).

Teaching Experiment in Engineering Mechanics Based on Simulation Technology:A Case Study

This paper explores the integration of simulation technology in Engineering Mechanics(EM)teaching in vocational colleges.A case study was conducted using the tensile test as an example,and digital resources,such as colored Mises stress nephograms,were obtained.These resources were integrated into the original curriculum to conduct teaching experiments.The results show that the use of digital resources significantly improved the quality of teaching in EM.The integration of simulation technology in EM teaching provides a promising direction for the improvement of vocational education and the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents.The development and application of more simulation-based teaching cases should be studied by scholars.

Construction and Practices of the Course of Software Process&Tools Oriented Certified in Engineering Education

In recent years,it is the general trend to adopt the standards of international engineering education certification to construct curriculum.“Software Process and Tools”is one of the core courses of Harbin Institute of Technology’s software engineering undergraduate training program.Focusing on the construction work and practical exploration of the course in the process of reforming the software engineering professional curriculum system,and how to achieve the standards of engineering education certification,This paper makes a review and summary.This paper focuses on the status and the role of the course in the whole curriculum system,as well as project-driven teaching content design and practical teaching methods.And summarizes the experience and results of 3 rounds of teaching practice.

Teaching Reform of Courses for Ideological and Political Education Based on Simulation Information Technology:Taking the Course Group of Engineering Valuation in Jiangxi Normal University for Example

In higher engineering education,professional courses and ideological and political theory courses go in the same direction,which is an important task of the current professional curriculum construction.This paper introduces the key and difficult problems in the teaching content of the course Engineering Valuation in the Department of Engineering Management and Real Estate of Jiangxi Normal University.Based on the characteristics of simulation information technology such as BIM and VR and the differences of ideological and political elements,it updates and improves the cases of courses for ideological and political education,gives full play to the synergistic effect,and realizes the"triple"talent training goal of knowledge,ability and literacy.

Combination of Splicing Visualization and Assembling Visualization in Engineering Drawing Education Carried by Self-optimizing Student Presentation

A pioneering self-optimizing teaching method in student-centric seminars was introduced in this paper, in which each student will establish preferred engineering drawing process directed by educators and necessary principles. We presented the working-memory centered mechanism in mental aspect to explain the phenomena. The theoretical mechanism is based on the typical translation between orthographic projection image and perspective image. The first is bonding object into a whole solid. The second is splicing the selected surfaces of objects and tailored them together. Two study groups were determined： an experimental group, who were directed to combine the object-based and surface-based construction methods in the presentations, and a control group, who learned through regular presentations made by an experienced teacher during the same period. The results showed that a significant enhancement in average scores has been achieved in the test among the experimental group in comparison with the control group. The variance of the scores is obviously reduced through the self-optimizing learning strategy, indicating a significant advantage on filling up the ability gaps among students. In fact, the results also indicated that the educator did keep the lesson in high quality. But it is worthy of more attention that the difference of mental manipulation habits between some students and educator may lead to a polarization in score distribution. So the seminar is a promising method to help the students to combine the object-based and surface-based construction methods.

A Classroom Teaching Quality Evaluation System for the Master of Software Engineering in China Based on Engineering Education Accreditation

Classroom teaching is a vital part of postgraduate education. The deficiencies of traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods for the postgraduate education of Master of Software Engineering in China are analyzed. The Engineering Education Accreditation and its education quality evaluation methods are introduced briefly, and the strengths of applying these methods for the classroom teaching quality evaluation are discussed. Based on the ideas and evaluation framework of Engineering Education Accreditation, adopting the merits of the traditional methods, a student-centered classroom teaching quality evaluation system is proposed to evaluate and continually improve the classroom teaching quality of Master of Software Engineering. The quality evaluation system covers teaching goals, teacher performance, student performance, teaching effect, supporting conditions and continual improvement totally six aspects. The advanced concepts and ideas of Engineering Education Accreditation and the merits of the traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods are both adopted in the proposed classroom teaching quality evaluation system.

Education Training Improvement of Built Environment and Energy Application Engineering in Line with the ABET Criteria

Built Environment and Energy Application Engineering(BEEAE),namely Heating,Ventilating,Air Conditioning and Refrigerating(HVAC&R),is one of the international accreditation programs.Its knowledge system of professional theory and professional education in accredited engineering academic programs must meet the requirements of the relevant international engineering certification.In view of professional engineers and technicians training of BEEAE,the professional training programs and the knowledge system are compared and explored in line with the international certification criteria.This study compares the items and requirements of different international certification criteria,and summarizes the experienced methods of education training.The undergraduate education and training programs are then improved in accordance with the requirements from international certification criteria.The BEEAE education training schemes should combine the knowledge system of the national professional guidance standards with the items from international certification criteria.
