The solid complex of Tl[(RO)_2PSO] has been synthesised. Its composition was determined by scanning electron microscopy, energydispersion X-ray spectrometry and slope method. The IR and NMR spectra studies showed that thallium coordi-nates with P=S bond. The heating stability of the complex has been studied by TG-DTA analysis.展开更多

Combined with the fluorescence spectroscopy, photoacoustic spectroscopy reflects the variation of the luminescence efficiencies of solid samples. The luminescence efficiency increases when La3+ is introduced, but it decreases greatly when Nd3+ is added, which is due to the difference of intermolecular energy transfer processes. The constant-volume combustion energies of the complexes have been determined by RBC-II type rotating-bomb calorimeter. The standard enthalpies of formation of the complexes have been calculated as well, which are ( -2543.16± 3.71) (Val), ( -2561.32± 4.06) (Leu), ( -2284.02± 2.95) (Thr), ( -1418.77± 4.60) (Met), ( -3218.91± 4.67) (Arg), ( -2643.90± 5.02) (Phe), ( -1707.18± 3.23) (Try) and ( -2838.05±3.45) (His) kJ/ mol, respectively.展开更多
The very latest technique for impeller manufacture is called semi-solid moulding(SSM).Cummins Turbo Technologies Limited,together with Aluminum Complex Components Inc,developed SSM compressor wheels as a way of achiev...The very latest technique for impeller manufacture is called semi-solid moulding(SSM).Cummins Turbo Technologies Limited,together with Aluminum Complex Components Inc,developed SSM compressor wheels as a way of achieving cost and durability performance somewhere between that of cast and machined from solid(MFS) aluminium alloy wheels.Experimental results show SSM material has a superior microstructure and mechanical properties over cast and comparable to MFS materials.Component testing including durability testing,using accelerated speed cycle tests,proves SSM compressor wheels emerge as being significantly more durable than cast equivalents and approaching that of MFS impellers.Further challenges for semi-solid processing in manufacture of other complex components and other materials in automotive industry in terms of both cost and durability are also discussed.展开更多

We generate zero-temperature granular packings at ...This paper studies the force network properties of marginally and deeply jammed packings of frictionless soft particlesfrom the perspective of complex network theory. We generate zero-temperature granular packings at different pressures by minimizing the inter-particle potential energy. The force networks are constructed as nodes representing particles and links representing normal forces between the particles. Deeply jammed solids show remarkably different behavior from marginally jammed solids in their degree distribution, strength distribution, degree correlation, and clustering coefficient. Bimodal and multi-modal distributions emerge when the system enters the deep jamming region. The results also show that small and large particles can show different correlation behavior in this simple system.展开更多

Differential temperature analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were used to determine the decomposing temperature. Oxide (La_2O_3) was obtained by decomposing the precursor for about 2.5 h. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscope (SEM) and ZETA potentiometer were respectively used to analyze the composition, morphology and size distribution of the products. The results show that La_2O_3 prepared by LaCl_3 and C_2H_2O_4·2H_2O is of ball-like shape and the diameter of particles (95%) is below 50 nm, while La_2O_3 prepared by LaCl_3 and NH_4HCO_3 is net-like.展开更多

By the proposition we try to cogitate from a new viewpoint the ancient yet ever new solid earth system. The author abstracts the fundamental problem of the solid earth system from the essence of the generalized geological systems and processes which reads: the complexity and self organized criticality of the global nature, structure and dynamical behavior of the whole solid earth system emerging from the multiple coupling and superposition of non linear interactions among the multicomponents of the earths material and the multiple generalized geological (geological, geophysical, and geochemical) processes . Complex hydride materials have been widely investigated as potential solid electrolytes because they have good compatibility with the lithium metal anodes used in all-solid-state batteries. However, the development of...Complex hydride materials have been widely investigated as potential solid electrolytes because they have good compatibility with the lithium metal anodes used in all-solid-state batteries. However, the development of all-solid-state batteries utilizing complex hydrides has been difficult as these cells tend to have short cycle lives. This study investigated the capacity fading mechanism of all-solid-state lithium–sulfur(Li–S) batteries using Li4(BH4)3I solid electrolytes by analyzing the cathode microstructure. Crosssectional scanning electron microscopy observations after 100 discharge–charge cycles revealed crack formation in the Li4(BH4)3I electrolyte and an increased cathode thickness. Raman spectroscopy indicated that decomposition of the Li4(BH4)3I solid electrolyte occurred at a constant rate during the cycling tests.To combat these effects, the cycle life of Li–S batteries was improved by increasing the amount of solid electrolyte in the cathode.展开更多

The prepared closo –type complex hydrides comprised [B12H12]^2-, [B11H11]^2-, and [B10H10]^2- complex anions. In addition, increasing the LiBH4 content in the starting materials increased the amounts of [B11H11]^2- and [B10H10]^2-, leading to an improved ion conductivity of the prepared sample. The present study offers useful insights into strategies for controlling the complex anion composition in emerging solid electrolytes of closo-type complex hydrides at the molecular level, and improving their ionic conductivities.展开更多
In order to understand the key mechanisms of the composting processes, the municipal solid waste(MSW) composting processes were divided into two stages, and the characteristics of typical experimental scenarios from t...In order to understand the key mechanisms of the composting processes, the municipal solid waste(MSW) composting processes were divided into two stages, and the characteristics of typical experimental scenarios from the viewpoint of microbial kinetics was analyzed. Through experimentation with advanced composting reactor under controlled composting conditions, several equations were worked out to simulate the degradation rate of the substrate. The equations showed that the degradation rate was controlled by concentration of microbes in the first stage. The degradation rates of substrates of inoculation Run A, B, C and Control composting systems were 13 61 g/(kg·h), 13 08 g/(kg·h), 15 671 g/(kg·h), and 10 5 g/(kg·h), respectively. The value of Run C is around 1 5 times higher than that of Control system. The decomposition rate of the second stage is controlled by concentration of substrate. Although the organic matter degradation rates were similar to all Runs, inoculation could reduce the values of the half velocity coefficient K \-m and could be more efficient to make the composting stable. Particularly, for Run C, the degradation rate is high in the first stage, and K \-m is low in the second stage. The results indicated that the inoculation was efficient for the composting processes.展开更多

Here is described a solid-phase synthesis method for the preparation of an acyl-plasminogen-streptokinase activator complex(APSAC) from Lys-Hpg, streptokinase(SK) and chemical modification (agent(4-amidinophenyl-4′-aminobenzoate hydrochloride)) with the L-lysine-Sepharose 4B Column as the carrier. The new method significantly increases the product yield and purity over the liquid-phase methods. The APSAC prepared with the new method exhibits a significant thrombolytic effect with a long half-life of about 8.8 h in rabbits.展开更多

The ionic conductivity data were analyzed using the VTF (Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher) equation and WLF (Williams-Landel-Ferry) type equation. Polypyrrole (PPy) has been used as intermediate layer and solid contact between the electron-conducting graphite paste substrate and the ion-conducting polyvinylchloride (PVC)-containing membrane with the immobilized ionophore. For the nitrate- and ammonium-selective electrodes, tridodecylmethylammonium nitrate (TDMA-NO3) and nonactin have been used as ion-complexing compounds, respectively. Both ISEs show nearly Nernstian response in the linear range from 10-5 mol/L to 10-1 mol/L with average slopes of >58 mV/decade. The ISEs possess short response times (<20 s).展开更多

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that com...One new three-dimensional polymeric PbⅡ complex,[Pb3(CTA)2(H2 O)2]n·nH2O(1),(H3 CTA = cis,cis-1,3,5-cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid), has been synthesized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that complex 1 has a three-dimensional architecture consisting of Pb2O2 dimeric building units, which shows two types of PbⅡ centers(eight-coordinated Pb(1),six-coordinated Pb(2) and Pb(3)). The eight-coordinated Pb(1) center possesses a stereochemically ‘inactive’ electron lone pair, and the coordination sphere is holodirected. However, the arrangement of oxygen atoms around Pb(2) and Pb(3) suggests a gap or hole in the coordination geometry. The stereo-chemically ‘active’ electron lone pairs of Pb(2) and Pb(3) possibly occupy these ‘holes’ and their coordination spheres are hemidirected. Its properties have been determined by FT-IR spectra, elemental analyses and thermogravimetric analyses(TGA). Solid-state luminescent properties of 1 also have been determined, indicating strong fluorescent emissions.展开更多

Raman spectroscopy indicated that decomposition of the Li4(BH4)3I solid electrolyte occurred at a constant rate during the cycling tests.To combat these effects, the cycle life of Li–S batteries was improved by increasing the amount of solid electrolyte in the cathode.

文摘We report the lithium ionic conductivities of closo –type complex hydrides synthesized from various molar ratios of lithium borohydride(LiBH4) and decaborane(B10H14) as starting materials. The prepared closo –type complex hydrides comprised [B12H12]^2-, [B11H11]^2-, and [B10H10]^2- complex anions. In addition, increasing the LiBH4 content in the starting materials increased the amounts of [B11H11]^2- and [B10H10]^2-, leading to an improved ion conductivity of the prepared sample. The present study offers useful insights into strategies for controlling the complex anion composition in emerging solid electrolytes of closo-type complex hydrides at the molecular level, and improving their ionic conductivities.
文摘In order to understand the key mechanisms of the composting processes, the municipal solid waste(MSW) composting processes were divided into two stages, and the characteristics of typical experimental scenarios from the viewpoint of microbial kinetics was analyzed. Through experimentation with advanced composting reactor under controlled composting conditions, several equations were worked out to simulate the degradation rate of the substrate. The equations showed that the degradation rate was controlled by concentration of microbes in the first stage. The degradation rates of substrates of inoculation Run A, B, C and Control composting systems were 13 61 g/(kg·h), 13 08 g/(kg·h), 15 671 g/(kg·h), and 10 5 g/(kg·h), respectively. The value of Run C is around 1 5 times higher than that of Control system. The decomposition rate of the second stage is controlled by concentration of substrate. Although the organic matter degradation rates were similar to all Runs, inoculation could reduce the values of the half velocity coefficient K \-m and could be more efficient to make the composting stable. Particularly, for Run C, the degradation rate is high in the first stage, and K \-m is low in the second stage. The results indicated that the inoculation was efficient for the composting processes.

文摘The dialysis method has been traditionally used for the conversion of native human plasminogen(Glu-Hpg) to lys-plasminogen(Lys-Hpg). Here is described a solid-phase synthesis method for the preparation of an acyl-plasminogen-streptokinase activator complex(APSAC) from Lys-Hpg, streptokinase(SK) and chemical modification (agent(4-amidinophenyl-4′-aminobenzoate hydrochloride)) with the L-lysine-Sepharose 4B Column as the carrier. The new method significantly increases the product yield and purity over the liquid-phase methods. The APSAC prepared with the new method exhibits a significant thrombolytic effect with a long half-life of about 8.8 h in rabbits.
文摘Ionic conductivity values for segmented polyether polyurethaneurea (PEUU) complexes with LiClO_4 were determined and values as high as~1.1×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1) at 353K and~1.0×10^(-5)S·cm^(-1) at 306K were achieved. The ionic conductivity data were analyzed using the VTF (Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher) equation and WLF (Williams-Landel-Ferry) type equation. Values have been estimated for the 'apparent' activation energies of ion transport from VTF equation and they lie in the range 2.70—5.53 kJ·mol^(-1).
文摘Solid state reactions between β diketones (HPMBP, HDBM) and LnAc 3· x H 2O(La,Nd: x =3/2;Tb: x =4) have been investigated at low heating temperature. Pure compounds of Ln(PMBP) 3 and Ln(DBM) 3 are obtained by solid state reaction, and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared radiation (IR),X ray diffraction (XRD) and photoacoustic spectra. The solid state reaction properties of β diketones and their influences on the structures of products are discussed.
文摘The glycosidation reactions of D-glucose with ethanol have been carried out over a reusable and separable heterogeneous catalyst, namely, ion exchange resin. Detailed kinetic data for these reactions are reported. A complex reaction model has been developed for interpreting the data. The reactions were found to be global second-order reactions and first -order with respect to each component. Meanwhile, a new regression method is applied to determine the rate constant from time-dependent profiles.
文摘Robust and easy-to-handle solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SC-ISEs) based on graphite paste have been developed for the potentiometric detection of NO-3 and NH+4 in environmental samples. Polypyrrole (PPy) has been used as intermediate layer and solid contact between the electron-conducting graphite paste substrate and the ion-conducting polyvinylchloride (PVC)-containing membrane with the immobilized ionophore. For the nitrate- and ammonium-selective electrodes, tridodecylmethylammonium nitrate (TDMA-NO3) and nonactin have been used as ion-complexing compounds, respectively. Both ISEs show nearly Nernstian response in the linear range from 10-5 mol/L to 10-1 mol/L with average slopes of >58 mV/decade. The ISEs possess short response times (<20 s).

文摘One new three-dimensional polymeric PbⅡ complex,[Pb3(CTA)2(H2 O)2]n·nH2O(1),(H3 CTA = cis,cis-1,3,5-cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid), has been synthesized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that complex 1 has a three-dimensional architecture consisting of Pb2O2 dimeric building units, which shows two types of PbⅡ centers(eight-coordinated Pb(1),six-coordinated Pb(2) and Pb(3)). The eight-coordinated Pb(1) center possesses a stereochemically ‘inactive’ electron lone pair, and the coordination sphere is holodirected. However, the arrangement of oxygen atoms around Pb(2) and Pb(3) suggests a gap or hole in the coordination geometry. The stereo-chemically ‘active’ electron lone pairs of Pb(2) and Pb(3) possibly occupy these ‘holes’ and their coordination spheres are hemidirected. Its properties have been determined by FT-IR spectra, elemental analyses and thermogravimetric analyses(TGA). Solid-state luminescent properties of 1 also have been determined, indicating strong fluorescent emissions.
文摘The title complex, Cl3SnCH2CH(CH3)CO2CH3L (1), was synthesized by the reaction of methyl 2-methyl-3-trichlorostannylpropionate with benzylmethylsulfoxide (L) in solid state at room temperature and readily underwent transesterification into the corresponding analogues Cl3SnCH2CH(CH3)CO2RL when reacted with an alcohol ROH. The structural features of these compounds were described, and the possible mechanism of transesterification was suggested.
