The effect of solution treatment time on the post-formed plasticity and ductile fracture of 7075 aluminum alloy in the hot stamping process was studied.Tensile tests were conducted on the specimens subjected to the hot stamping process with different solution treatment time.The digital image correlation(DIC)analysis was used to obtain the strain of the specimen.Based on the experiments and modeling,the Yld2000-3d yield criterion and the DF2014 ductile fracture criterion were calibrated and used to characterize the anisotropy and fracture behavior of the metal,respectively.Furthermore,the microstructure of specimens was studied.The experimental and simulation results indicate that the 7075 aluminum alloy retains distinct anisotropy after the hot stamping process,and there is no obvious effect of extending the solution treatment time on the material anisotropy.However,it is found that a longer solution treatment time can increase the fracture strain of the aluminum alloy during the hot stamping process,which may be related to the decrease of the second-phase particles size. 展开更多

Using an approach of parabolic regularization, we first obtain the existence of the time periodic solution to a regularized problem under some smallness and symmetry assumptions on the external force. This article is concerned with the numerical investigation of one-dimensional population balance models for batch crystallization process with fines dissolution.In batch crystallization,dissolution of smaller unwanted nuclei below some critical size is of vital importance as it improves the quality of product.The crystal growth rates for both size-independent and size-dependent cases are considered.A delay in recycle pipe is also included in the model.The space–time conservation element and solution element method,originally derived for non-reacting flows,is used to solve the model.This scheme has already been applied to a range of PDEs,mainly in the area of fluid mechanics.The numerical results are compared with those obtained from the Koren scheme,showing that the proposed scheme is more efficient. 展开更多

The filling and exhausting processes in a pneumatic system are involved with many factors, and numerical solutions of many partial differential equations are always adapted in the study of those processes, which have been proved to be troublesome and less intuitive. Analytical solutions based on loss-less tube model and average friction tube model are found respectively by using fluid net theory, and they fit the experimental results well. The research work shows that: Fluid net theory can be used to solve the analytical solution of filling and exhausting processes of pneumatic system, and the result of loss-less tube model is close to that of average friction model, so loss-less tube model is recommended since it is simpler, and the difference between filling time and exhausting time is determined by initial and final pressures, the volume of container and the section area of tube, and has nothing to do with the length of the tube. 展开更多

Corresponding to Oswatitsch’s Mach number independence principle the Mach number of hypersonic inviscid flows, , does not affect components of various non-dimensional formulations such as velocity and density, pressure coefficients and Mach number behind a strong shock. On this account, the principle is significant in the development process for hypersonic vehicles. Oswatitsch deduced a system of partial differential equations which describes hypersonic flow. These equations are the basic gasdynamic equations as well as Crocco’s theorem which are reduced for the case of very high Mach numbers, . Their numerical solution can not only result in simplified algorithms prospectively utilized to describe the flow around bodies flying mainly in the lower stratosphere with very high Mach numbers. It also offers a deeper understanding of similarity effects for hypersonic flows. In this paper, a solution method for Oswatisch’s equations for perfect gas, based on a 4-step Runge-Kutta-algorithm, is presented including a fast shock-fitting procedure. An analysis of numerical stability is followed by a detailed comparison of results for different Mach numbers and ratios of the specific heats. 展开更多

The use of electro-osmotic chemical is an effective method to improve the clayey soil foundation.Various boundary conditions can be adopted in this method.In this work,two electrode–clay contacts,three solution conditioners,and four anode solution supply times were used for clayey soil improvement.Based on the experimental data,electro-osmotic consolidation theory,and transport of ion theory,it is found that the electro-osmotic chemical effect of the separation of electrode–clay(E_S)is more beneficial for the transport of Ca^(2+),production of cementing material,and reduction of water content than that of electrode–clay(E_C)joining;through electrode–clay contact separation,the anode solution conditioner(NaPO3)6(E_SHMP)delayed the cementing reaction and then increased the transport of Ca^(2+)near the cathode,which increased the amount of cementing material and the electro-osmotic chemical effect;and when the anode conditioner(NaPO3)6 was used,two days of anode solution supply followed by three days cut off from the anode solution led to the highest undrained shear strength increase after the application of electro-osmotic chemical,which resolved the uneven electro-osmotic chemical effect in the E_SHMP. 展开更多

Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)has had an insightful impact about the state of healthiness of human immune system.Due to great improvement in drug therapy,HIV infections have been reduced by 17%over the past eight years.It has been proved that most effective treatment HAART(Highly Active Anti Retroviral Therapy)mainly controls the diseases progression but it does not eradicate the diseases completely.Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor drugs specially associated with virus specific Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte(CTL)that declines with disease progression. CTL responses against AIDS pathogenesis could be potential in the dynamics of virus replication, recognition and clearance of infected cells.In this research article a mathematical model has been proposed on the basis of CTL response suppression in the chronic phase of infection due to presence of virus.We also consider the growth of the virus population from the infected CD4^+T cells budding process and from the other infected cells like macrophages and thymocytes.Our analytical and numerical studies are consistent with existing observations from allied areas. 展开更多

After appropriately foring the gange, the model can be formulated as a system of nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations with quasi-periodic boundary conditions. We first give some results concerning the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions and then we propose a semiimplicit finite element scheme solving the system of nonlinear partial dmerential equations and show the optimal error estimates both in the L2 and energy norm.We also report on some numerical results at the end of the paper. 展开更多

We assume that units (customers) arrive at the system one by one in a Poisson process and the server provides one-by-one service based on first in first out (FIFO) rule. We obtained the steady state queue size distributions in terms of the probability generating functions, the average number of customers and their average waiting time in the system as well as in the queue. 展开更多
