APOTP FOR THE INVERSE LIMIT SPACES

The connection between APOTP （asymptotic pseudo orbit tracing property） for a continuous map on a compact metric space and that for the shift map on the inverse limit space is investigated. As an application, it is showed that the shift map on Henderson pseudoarc has APOTP.

PADE APPROXIMANTS AS LIMITS OF RATIONAL FUNCTIONS OF BEST APPROXIMATION IN ORLICZ SPACE

In this paper, we prove that the best rational approximation of a given analytic function in Orlicz space L~*(G), where G = {|z|≤∈}, converges to the Pade approximants of the function as the measure of G approaches zero.

A Study on Female Self Consciousness Across Time and Space in The Hours

The film The Hours is a masterpiece that reflects female spiritual predicament and it analyzes the life exploration and death struggle of three women in three periods deeply.This research chooses this film as material to study female self consciousness.In this paper,female self consciousness is discussed in two aspects,namely,from limitation and span of time and space aspect,and from the certain image in this film.At the end of this paper,there is a clear conclusion,namely a suggestion for female who is suffering from how to do self consciousness.

On Some Questions of Barge and Toledo

Barge asked if each homeomorphism of a hereditarily decomposable chainable continuum has zero topological entropy and Toledo asked if a homeomorphism of a chainable continuum can always be induced by square commuting diagram on inverse systems of finite graphs. We show in this note that if Toledos question has a positive answer then Barges question also has a positive answer.

Research on the field emission mechanism of nano-structured carbon film

The field emission （FE） characteristics of nano-structured carbon films （NSCFs） are investigated. The saturation behaviour of the field emission current density found at high electric field E cannot be reasonably explained by the traditional Fowler-Nordheim （F-N） theory. A three-region E model and the curve-fitting method are utilized for discussing the FE characteristics of NSCFs. In the low, high, and middle E regions, the FE mechanism is reasonably explained by a modified F-N model, a corrected space-charge-limited-current （SCLC） model and the joint model of F N and SCLC mechanism, respectively. Moreover, the measured FE data accord well with the results from our corrected theoretical model.

Characterizing Continuous dcpos by Liminf Convergence of Filters

It is proved in this note that,under a mild assumption,a dcpo L is continuous if and only if the liminf convergence on L is topological.

Inverse limits of hereditarily almost expandable class

In this paper, the hereditarily almost expandability of inverse limits is investigated, with two results obtained. Let X be the inverse limit space of an inverse system （Xα, π^αβ, ∧}. （1） Suppose X is hereditarily κ-metacompact, if each Xα is hereditarily pointwise collectionwise normal （almost θ-expandable, almost discrete θ-expandable）, then so is X; （2） Suppose X is hereditarily κ-σ-metacompact, if each Xα is hereditarily almost σ-expandable （almost discrete σ-expandable = σ-pointwise collectionwise normal）, then so is X.

Experimental investigation of limit space charge accumulation mode operation in a semi-insulating GaAs photoconductive semiconductor switch

Experiments with the limited space-charge accumulation（LSA） mode of oscillation in a large gap semiinsulating （SI） GaAs photoconductive semiconductor switch（PCSS） are discussed.It has been observed that growth and drift of a photo-activated charge domain（PACD） are quenched only when the bias voltage is more than twice the threshold voltage.The original negative resistance characteristics are directly utilized in the LSA mode;during LSA operation the spatial average of the electric field varies over a large portion of the negative differential mobility region of the velocity-electric field characteristic.The work efficiency of an SI GaAs PCSS is remarkably enhanced by electric field excursions into the positive resistance region when the total electric field is only below the threshold part of the time.The LSA mode can only operate in the certain conditions that satisfy the quenching of the accumulation layer and the smaller initial domain voltage.

Control of exhaled SARS-CoV-2-laden aerosols in the interpersonal breathing microenvironment in a ventilated room with limited space air stability

The Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)highlights the importance of understanding and controlling the spread of the coronavirus between persons.We experimentally and numerically investigated an advanced engineering and environmental method on controlling the transmission of airborne SARS-CoV-2-laden aerosols in the breathing microenvironment between two persons during interactive breathing process by combining the limited space air stability and a ventilation method.Experiments were carried out in a full-scale ventilated room with different limited space air stability conditions,i.e.,stable condition,neutral condition and unstable condition.Two real humans were involved to conducted normal breathing process in the room and the exhaled carbon dioxide was used as the surrogate of infectious airborne SARS-CoV-2-laden aerosols from respiratory activities.A correspondent numerical model was established to visualize the temperature field and contaminated field in the test room.Results show that the performance of a ventilation system on removing infectious airborne SARS-CoV-2-laden aerosols from the interpersonal breathing microenvironment is dependent on the limited space air stability conditions.Appropriate ventilation method should be implemented based on an evaluation of the air condition.It is recommended that total volume ventilation methods are suitable for unstable and neutral conditions and local ventilation methods are preferable for stable conditions.This study provides an insight into the transmission of airborne SARS-CoV-2-laden aerosols between persons in ventilated rooms with different limited space air stability conditions.Useful guidance has been provided to cope with COVID-19 in limited spaces.
