Analysis of the Energy and Environmental Sustainability of a Built Space System: The Case of Patte d’Oie University Campus in Ouagadougou

The aim of this study was to carry out a dynamic simulation of the energy and environmental performance of a built space system, with a view to assessing its energy and environmental class. The use of a simulation and modeling tool, supported by various methodological references, formed the basis of our approach. Adopting a systemic perspective, we described the structural and functional aspects of the systems making up built spaces, as well as the associated energy flows. Our approach was also based on a typology, taking into account typical days, structural and functional configurations at different scales and angles of observation. The analysis tool we developed in Java was applied to the built space system of the Patte d’Oie university campus in Ouagadougou. Annual electricity consumption was measured at 124387.34 kWh, closely aligned with the average annual electricity bill (125224.31 kWh), with a maximum relative deviation of 1%, followed by a carbon emission balance of 58337.66 kg eq CO2 per year. This validation confirmed the effectiveness of our tool. In addition, following the analysis of electricity consumption using our tool, the university campus was classified in energy class B and environmental class C. These results will be based on the emission factors of the energy mix of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) territory, with particular emphasis on Burkina Faso.

Reliable transmission of consultative committee for space data systems file delivery protocol in deep space communication

In consultative committee for space data systems（CCSDS） file delivery protocol（CFDP） recommendation of reliable transmission,there are no detail transmission procedure and delay calculation of prompted negative acknowledge and asynchronous negative acknowledge models.CFDP is designed to provide data and storage management,story and forward,custody transfer and reliable end-to-end delivery over deep space characterized by huge latency,intermittent link,asymmetric bandwidth and big bit error rate（BER）.Four reliable transmission models are analyzed and an expected file-delivery time is calculated with different trans-mission rates,numbers and sizes of packet data units,BERs and frequencies of external events,etc.By comparison of four CFDP models,the requirement of BER for typical missions in deep space is obtained and rules of choosing CFDP models under different uplink state informations are given,which provides references for protocol models selection,utilization and modification.

Establishing formal state space models via quantization forquantum control systems

Formal state space models of quantum control systems are deduced and a scheme to establish formal state space models via quantization could been obtained for quantum control systems is proposed. State evolution of quantum control systems must accord with Schrdinger equations, so it is foremost to obtain Hamiltonian operators of systems. There are corresponding relations between operators of quantum systems and corresponding physical quantities of classical systems, such as momentum, energy and Hamiltonian, so Schrdinger equation models of corresponding quantum control systems via quantization could been obtained from classical control systems, and then establish formal state space models through the suitable transformation from Schrdinger equations for these quantum control systems. This method provides a new kind of path for modeling in quantum control.

Urbanization and Its Impacts to Food Systems and Environmental Sustainability in Urban Space: Evidence from Urban Agriculture Livelihoods in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Urbanisation is the key factor underpinning and catalysing changes in food systems, environmental quality, climate change and agriculture livelihoods in the overall urban ecosystem setting and its sustainability. The paper explores Dar es Salaam, a rapidly expanding city in Sub-Saharan Africa, and shows that urban agriculture provides urban ecosystem services and contributes to environmental sustainability. The interconnections of environmental justice, urban ecosystem services and climate change and variability found eminent feature that influence land governance, productivity and aesthetic value of the city. The study reaffirms the pivotal role urban agriculture which plays to enhance community health services and access to resources, with important implications on urban environmental sustainability and redistributive spatial land use planning policies and practices. The process of urbanisation, forms of urban agriculture and government strategies for enhanced urban food systems in the city economy have been highlighted. Equally, the process triggers the transformation of settlements from rural in character to modernity with an augmented land use conflicts. The results suggests that with increasing population, a clear spatial land use planning and management strategy is required to overcome the challenges and enhanced food systems and urban environmental sustainability in rapidly urbanizing cities like Dar es Salaam in Sub-Saharan Africa.

STATIONARY DISTRIBUTIONS OF INFINITE PARTICLE SYSTEMS WITH NONCOMPACT STATE SPACE.

This paper deals with the preblem of existence and uniqueness of the stationary distributions (abbr., s. d.'s) for the processes constructed in [4] .The main results are stated in § 1. For the reader's convenience we first restate the existence theorems (Theorem 1 and 2) of the processes given in [4]. Then two existence theorems (Theorem 3 and 4) and a uniqueness theorem (Theorem 5) for the s. d.'s of the processes are presented. The last result (Theorem 6), as an application of the previous ones, is about the Schlgl model which comes from nonequilibrium statisticali physics. The details of the proofs of Theorem 3—6 are given in § 2—4.

Performance of MIMO Systems Using Space Time Block Codes (STBC)

Digital Communications, in relation to wireless networks, have taken off in recent years due to the expanding need to communicate faster and more efficiently. A popular way to achieve this is by using wireless Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) communication systems. MIMO systems utilize Space Time Block Codes (STBC) as one of the leading ways to obtain higher data rates with limited bandwidth and power. With several STBC methods currently available, this paper analyzes simulations using Orthogonal Space Time Block Codes (OSTBC) in Rayleigh fading channels to evaluate the performance of MIMO systems. The selection to use a Rayleigh fading channel as a model for a non-line-of-sight (nLOS) environment is selected to mimic installations where a large number of signal paths and reflections are expected. All simulations are coded, generated and plotted using MATLAB resulting in graphical data representing the bit-error rate (BER) to signal-to-noise ratio (Eb/N0) or SNR. Each simulation captures how different configurations of key variables including code rate, diversity and antenna count can impact system performance. Four modulation schemes (BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM) are included in each simulation. Conclusive evidence based upon these simulations suggests higher diversity gains were achieved with a greater number of antennas. The most significant factor for increasing system performance was using a lower count of transmit antennas with a higher count of receive antennas.

Conformal invariance and Noether symmetry, Lie symmetry of holonomic mechanical systems in event space

This paper is devoted to studying the conformal invariance and Noether symmetry and Lie symmetry of a holonomic mechanical system in event space. The definition of the conformal invariance and the corresponding conformal factors of the holonomic system in event space are given. By investigating the relation between the conformal invariance and the Noether symmetry and the Lie symmetry, expressions of conformal factors of the system under these circumstances are obtained, and the Noether conserved quantity and the Hojman conserved quantity directly derived from the conformal invariance are given. Two examples are given to illustrate the application of the results.

PARAMETRIC EQUATIONS OF NONHOLONOMIC NONCONSERVATIVE SYSTEMS IN THE EVENT SPACE AND THE METHOD OF THEIR INTEGRATION

In this paper,the parametric equations with multipliers of nonholonomic nonconservative sys- tems in the event space are established,their properties are studied,and their explicit formulation is obtained. And then the field method for integrating these equations is given.Finally,an example illustrating the appli- cation of the integration method is given.

Survivability Mechanisms of Complex Computer Systems Based on Common Information Space

The survivability of computer systems should be guaranteed in order to improve its operation efficiency,especially for the efficiency of its critical functions.This paper proposes a decentralized mechanism based on Software-Defined Architecture(SDA).The concepts of critical functions and critical states are defined,and then,the critical functional parameters of the target system are collected and analyzed.Experiments based on the analysis results are performed for reconfiguring the implementations of the whole system.A formal model is presented for analyzing and improving the survivability of the system,and the problem investigated in this paper is reduced to an optimization problem for increasing the system survival time.

Poisson theory and integration method of Birkhoffian systems in the event space

This paper focuses on studying the Poisson theory and the integration method of a Birkhoffian system in the event space. The Birkhoff＇s equations in the event space are given. The Poisson theory of the Birkhoffian system in the event space is established. The definition of the Jacobi last multiplier of the system is given, and the relation between the Jacobi last multiplier and the first integrals of the system is discussed. The researches show that for a Birkhoffian system in the event space, whose configuration is determined by （2n ＋ 1） Birkhoff＇s variables, the solution of the system can be found by the Jacobi last multiplier if 2n first integrals are known. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

Glymphatic system:a gateway for neuroinflammation

The glymphatic system is a relatively recently identified fluid exchange and transpo rt system in the brain.Accumulating evidence indicates thatglymphatic function is impaired not only in central nervous system disorders but also in systemic diseases.Systemic diseases can trigger the inflammatory responses in the central nervous system,occasionally leading to sustained inflammation and functional disturbance of the central nervous system.This review summarizes the current knowledge on the association between glymphatic dysfunction and central nervous system inflammation.In addition,we discuss the hypothesis that disease conditions initially associated with peripheral inflammation ove rwhelm the performance of the glymphatic system,thereby triggering central nervous system dysfun ction,chronic neuroinflammation,and neurodegeneration.Future research investigating the role of the glymphatic system in neuroinflammation may offer innovative therapeutic approaches for central nervous system disorders.

Project Systems Engineering for Developing Space Robots

Space robots possess unique distinguishing features unlike general robots on earth, due to the particular environments in space. The developing of various practical space robots promoting the improvement of space science and technology is a complex man-machine-environment engineering problem. This paper analyses from the systems engineering viewpoint the space robot system in the scope of the architecture of robotics discipline, space environment characteristics, man-machine-environment system of space robots, the general methodology of project systems engineering and the process of space robot systems engineering.

Routh method of reduction for Birkhoffian systems in the event space

For a Birkhoffian system in the event space, this paper presents the Routh method of reduction. The parametric equations of the Birkhoffian system in the event space are established, and the definition of cyclic coordinates for the system is given and the corresponding cyclic integral is obtained. Through the cyclic integral, the order of the system can be reduced. The Routh functions for the Birkhoffian system in the event space are constructed, and the Routh method of reduction is successfully generalized to the Birkhoffian system in the event space. The results show that if the system has a cyclic integral, then the parametric equations of the system can be reduced at least by two degrees and the form of the equations holds. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

Hojman conserved quantity for nonholonomic systems of unilateral non-Chetaev type in the event space

Hojman conserved quantities deduced from the special Lie symmetry, the Noether symmetry and the form invariance for a nonholonomic system of the unilateral non-Chetacv type in the event space are investigated. The differential equations of motion of the system above are established. The criteria of the Lie symmetry, the Noether symmetry and the form invariance are given and the relations between them are obtained. The Hojman conserved quantities are gained by which the Hojman theorem is extended and applied to the nonholonomic system of the unilateral non-Chetacv type in the event space. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

NEW SYSTEMS OF GENERALIZED QUASI-VARIATIONAL INCLUSIONS IN FC-SPACES AND APPLICATIONS

In this paper, we study some new systems of generalized quasi-variational inclusion problems in FC-spaces without convexity structure.By applying an existence theorem of maximal elements of set-valued mappings due to the author, some new existence theorems of solutions for the systems of generalized quasi-variational inclusion problems are proved in noncompact FC-spaces. As applications, some existence results of solutions for the system of quasi-optimization problems and mathematical programs with the systems of generalized quasi-variational inclusion constraints are obtained in FC-spaces.

Perturbation and robust controllability of singular distributed parameter control systems in Hilbert space

Perturbation and robust controllability of the singular distributed parameter control system are discussed via functional analysis and the theory of GE-semigroup in Hilbert space. The perturbation principle of GE-semigroup and the sufficient condition concerning the robust controllability of the singular distributed parameter control system are obtained, in which the controllability for singular distributed parameter control system is not destroyed, if we perturb the equation by small bounded linear operator.

A General Approach to the Construction of Conservation Laws for Birkhoffian Systems in Event Space

For a Birkhoman system in the event space,a general approach to the construction of conservation lawsis presented.The conservation laws are constructed by finding corresponding integrating factors for the parametricequations of the system.First,the parametric equations of the Birkhoffian system in the event space are established,and the definition of integrating factors for the system is given;second the necessary conditions for the existence ofconservation laws are studied in detail,and the relation between the conservation laws and the integrating factors ofthe system is obtained and the generalized Killing equations for the determination of the integrating factors are given;finally,the conservation theorem and its inverse for the system are established,and an example is given to illustrate theapplication of the results.
