The Application and Effect Evaluation of Corpus Linguistics in English Teaching

This paper explores the application and effect evaluation of corpus linguistics in English teaching.It first introduces the basic concepts and development history of corpus linguistics,then analyzes its connection with language teaching theories,discussing the advantages and challenges of using corpora in language teaching.Next,it delves into the methods and technologies for building and utilizing corpora,as well as their role in developing teaching resources.Lastly,within the framework and methods of teaching effect evaluation,specific application cases of corpus linguistics in teaching design are analyzed,and their effects are assessed.Recommendations for teaching improvement and future development directions are also proposed.

Study on the Construction and Evaluation System of Clinical Midwifery Teaching Faculty under the New Nursing Model

Objective:To explore the impact of the construction of a clinical midwifery teaching faculty and the development of an evaluation system under the new nursing model on the current teaching quality.Methods:From July 2022 to March 2023,10 clinical teaching teachers and 20 midwifery interns from Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University were selected as the subjects of this study.The clinical teaching teachers and midwifery interns were divided into an observation group and a control group,with each group including 5 clinical teaching teachers and 10 midwifery interns.The observation group received daily management and evaluation under the new nursing model,while the control group received management and evaluation under the traditional nursing model.The teaching quality evaluation of clinical midwifery teaching teachers by midwifery interns,the exit exam scores of midwifery interns,and the scores of clinical teaching teachers’internship lectures and teaching rounds were compared between the two groups.Results:In the observation group,the scores for teaching attitude,teaching skills,and teaching management in the teaching quality evaluation of clinical midwifery teaching teachers were higher than those in the control group.The professional theory scores(91.28±3.64)and overall nursing comprehensive scores(92.56±4.38)of midwifery interns in the observation group were higher than those of midwifery interns in the control group(81.58±2.27 and 80.29±3.33,respectively).The scores for internship lectures(89.32±4.15)and teaching rounds(90.64±5.52)in the observation group were also significantly higher than those in the control group(80.46±3.28 and 81.24±4.38,respectively),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The management of the clinical midwifery teaching faculty under the new nursing model effectively improved the quality of clinical teaching.It significantly enhanced the teaching effectiveness of clinical teaching teachers and the proficiency of midwifery interns in clinical operations,making it worthy of promotion and use.

Construction and Practice of Teaching Evaluation System Based on Data Mining

The teaching quality evaluation system based on data mining technology can accurately and fairly identify the core driving factors to improve teaching quality.This method adopts the analysis of big data correlation rules,including data collection and processing preparation steps,builds the data warehouse of association rules,and then generates an educational quality evaluation framework using the principle of data mining.Based on this,this paper analyzes the construction design and method of the teaching evaluation system under data mining,hoping to provide help for the improvement of the teaching evaluation system and the improvement of teaching quality.

A Study on the Implementation Path of the Blended Teaching Model in Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation

Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation is the core course of Environmental Geological Engineering,aiming to cultivate skilled talents with solid theoretical knowledge and excellent practical skills.At present,the course faces several issues,including a teaching environment disconnected from real-world work scenarios,course content that deviates from job-related tasks,a lack of digital teaching resources,and reliance on a single teaching method,leading to students’poor feedback from employers.Based on the concept of outcome-based education,the course team of Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation establishes a“five-step double-rotation”blended teaching model with the help of a Small Private Online Course platform.The program is designed to improve the teaching environment and expand the digitalized teaching resources in order to improve students’learning motivation,enhance learning effectiveness,and cultivate skillful talents who meet employers’satisfaction.

Evaluation of the Application Effect of Short Video Combined with BOPPPS Teaching Mode in Clinical Anesthesia Teaching

Objective:To study the application effect of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode in clinical anesthesia practice.Method:48 students assigned to clinical anesthesia in digestive endoscopy of Shanxi Bethune Hospital from July 1,2022 to April 1,2023 were selected as research objects.They were randomly divided into the control group(PowerPoint presentation teaching group)and the observation group(short video combined with BOPPPS teaching group),with 24 students in each group.After the internship,the students’theoretical and technical scores were tested,the effects of the two teaching modes were compared,and the students’satisfaction was investigated.Results:The test scores of students in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode can significantly improve students’learning interest,operation skills,and memory(P<0.05).The students’satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In clinical practice,the application of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode has achieved great effect,which is worth further promotion and research.

Research on the Evaluation of VBSE Practical Training Teaching Effectiveness Based on CIPP Model at X University

Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training.

A Survey on the Evaluation Literacy of College English Teachers Under the Online Teaching Mode

Under the online teaching model,the evaluation literacy of college English teachers has become one of the critical factors affecting students’learning effects[1].This study uses a self-compiled questionnaire to investigate the current status of evaluation literacy of college English teachers under the online teaching model from four aspects:evaluation awareness,evaluation knowledge,evaluation ability,and evaluation ethics.The results show that college English teachers’overall evaluation literacy level is relatively high,but there are areas for improvement.Based on the survey results,suggestions are put forward to improve teachers’evaluation literacy,such as changing teaching concepts and increasing self-reflection;strengthening training and learning to enhance professional development awareness;conducting cooperative research and emphasizing team strengths.

An Empirical Study on Students’Evaluation of Moral Education in Foreign Language Education in China

Students’evaluation of moral education is of great significance for improving the quality of teaching.Through a survey of 2715 undergraduates majoring in foreign languages,this paper analyzes their evaluation of the moral education.Findings show that students speak highly of teachers’competence in moral education,teaching methods and the integration of moral education in the textbooks,but not in the course assessment and the overall effect of moral education.Suggestions were proposed accordingly to improve moral education of foreign language education in China.

Teaching Reform of “Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics” Under the Background of New Engineering

Reflection on Classroom Teaching Innovation Triggered by Non-Engfish Majors＇ Evaluation on Chinese and Foreign Instructor＇s Pedagogies

This paper reports on a study which used a discourse-analytic approach to look into the existing problems in English classroom teaching at undergraduates＇ level. Evaluation of English Teaching Materials in Terms of Learning and Motivation

This study investigates the relationship between the teaching materials and motivation in second language acquisition.An evaluation of teaching materials based on Dornyei's motivation construct has been employed.The results indicate students and teacher are basically satisfied with the textbook.Many factors,which affect student' s motivation towards teaching materials,are perceived.

Teaching evaluation on a WebGIS course based on dynamic self-adaptive teaching–learning-based optimization

Teaching evaluation on a WebGIS course is a multi-objective nonlinear high-dimensional NP-hard problem. The index system for the teaching evaluation of a WebGIS course, including teacher- and student-oriented sub-systems, is first established and used for questionnaires from 2013 to 2017. The multi-objective nonlinear high-dimensional evaluation model is constructed and then solved via dynamic self-adaptive teaching–learning-based optimization (DSATLBO). DSATLBO is based on teaching–learning-based optimization with five improvements: dynamic nonlinear self-adaptive teaching factor, extracurricular tutorship factor, dynamic self-adaptive learning factor, multi-way learning factor, and non-dominated sorting factor. WebGIS teaching performance is fully evaluated based on questionnaires and DSATLBO. Optimal weights and weighted scores from DSATLBO are compared with those from the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II using the Pareto front, coverage to two sets, and spacing of the non-dominated solution sets to validate the performance of DSATLBO. The results show that DSATLBO can be uniformly distributed along the Pareto front. Therefore, DSATLBO can efficiently and feasibly solve the multi-objective nonlinear high-dimensional teaching evaluation model of a WebGIS course. The proposed teaching evaluation method can help reflecting the quality of all aspects of classroom teaching and guide the professional development of students.

Crowdsourcing-Based Framework for Teaching Quality Evaluation and Feedback Using Linguistic 2-Tuple

Crowdsourcing is widely used in various fields to collect goods and services from large participants.Evaluating teaching quality by collecting feedback from experts or students after class is not only delayed but also not accurate.In this paper,we present a crowdsourcing-based framework to evaluate teaching quality in the classroom using a weighted average operator to aggregate information from students’questionnaires described by linguistic 2-tuple terms.Then we define crowd grade based on similarity degree to distinguish contribution from different students and minimize the abnormal students’impact on the evaluation.The crowd grade would be updated at the end of each feedback so it can guarantee the evaluation accurately.Moreover,a simulated case is shown to illustrate how to apply this framework to assess teaching quality in the classroom.Finally,we developed a prototype and carried out some experiments on a series of real questionnaires and two sets of modified data.The results show that teachers can locate the weak points of teaching and furthermore to identify the abnormal students to improve the teaching quality.Meanwhile,our approach provides a strong tolerance for the abnormal student to make the evaluation more accurate.

Classroom Teaching Evaluation of Chinese Painting as a Form of Fine Arts in Rural Junior High Schools

Teaching evaluation is an indispensable part of the teaching system of junior high school.In order to inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and arts,traditional Chinese painting has been paid more and more attention to in the fine arts curriculum of rural junior high school.This paper takes the classroom teaching evaluation of traditional Chinese painting as a form of fine arts in rural junior high school as the research object,and analyzes the problems existing in the classroom teaching evaluation of traditional Chinese painting in rural junior high school.This paper puts forward the corresponding improvement measures from the aspects of comprehensive evaluation object,concrete evaluation content,flexible evaluation language and diversified evaluation subjects,in order to improve the evaluation level of fine arts teachers'classroom teaching,improve students'aesthetic cognition and learning interest in traditional Chinese painting,and cultivate students'innovative thinking and spirit.
