A Critical Review on Language Learning Strategies and Implications for College English Teaching

This paper reviews the current developments of language learning strategy researches in the world, both approval and critical voices on the issue of strategy instruction. Then it summarizes the current developments of learning strategy instruction in China. It indicates college English teachers should model learning strategy and make the instruction explicit. Students are advised to be active in seeking for strategies suitable for themselves through their own exploration and reflection.

Language Learning Strategies and Strategic Teaching in the Foreign Language Classroom

The results of a great deal of research have suggested that language learning strategies can be taught and that instructing learning strategies and integrating them into regular instruction can greatly facilitate the learning of a second/foreign language.The aim of this article is to draw the readers' attention to strategic teaching that should be introduced in the foreign language classroom in order to meet the demands of contemporary language education. English online learning has been common trend in the world, how to teach and learn effectively in EFL classes through online environment is an urgent study. Study on the Psychology of Students in English Learning and the Teaching Strategies

In the new period, the importance of English is becoming increasingly significant, and it has gradually developed to be the first international language. Learning English has been one of the important tasks necessary for students to complete. Research on Improving Teaching Quality and Optimizing Teaching Scheme Based on Deep Learning in Chinese Literature Scene

With the rapid development of society nowadays,this paper begins to study the teaching strategies of promoting students’deep learning in the Chinese literature scene,and the attitudes and teaching quality of students and teachers when learning Chinese literature.The investigation and analysis show that:(1)For example,the relationship between literary scenes and characters in the famous literary work“Three Kingdoms”is analyzed.The complex character relationships in literature are important to literary scenes and learning.(2)It explains that the suggestions when writing Chinese literary scenes need to be pragmatic,pay attention to modern people’s livelihood,and the author should integrate into the literary scene to create good works.(3)The experiment in this paper investigates the depth of students’learning of Chinese literature and their learning methods,and discovers methods that can make students learn more deeply.

Using Cooperative Learning Strategies to Cultural Background Teaching in College English

The aim of this innovation project is toconduct a pilot by employing cooperative learning strategies, peer assessment and self-assessment in the process of teaching cultural background in College English Integrated Course to change teachers' role as a dominator as that to explore a feasible yet effective way which will help students to learn the cultural background and obtained some cognitive progress in performance and achievements. According to the findings obtained from the survey, we can see that by employing of the cooperative learning strategy, students' enthusiasm, participation and learning effectiveness have been greatly enhanced. What's more, the application of cooperative learning strategy in teaching cultural background not only motivated students, enhanced students' critical thinking but also reduced teachers' heavy workload. It is a win-win situation both for teacher and the students.

A Study on Different Learning Strategies Used by EFL Learners in China

This study explores how the Chinese learners apply the learning strategies in the language learning.The research examines how to understand EFL learners uses of learning strategies in language learning.The SILL(the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning) was the instrument of this study.The results show that the frequency of strategy use does not vary among the different levels of learners based on the SILL's mean scores.The results suggest that as the learners' levels become higher,the EFL learners tend to choose more strategies which are reflective of their active learning.
